For a moment, Thade looked surprised. "Akio..." he managed, unsure of how to deal with this sudden breech of emotion. "It's ok." Without quite calculating his actions, Thade kissed Akio's neck lightly, and wiped his tears softly off his cheeks with his thumb.

Akio brought the back of his hand up to wipe the tears from his eyes, and slowly pushed Thade away. "Stop it," he opened his mouth once or twice, as to say something, but only puffs of air were heard.

He nodded, his body numb. "I should...go," he said, pushing slowly off of the wall.

Akio's eyes were slightly glazed over, and didn't say anything, continuing to puff. He hadn't really cried for quite some time.

Thade nodded to himself. And then he walked away, out of the alley, not wanting to leave, but doing so anyway.

After Thade left Akio sank to the floor and wiped his eyes hard, trying to get ride of the disgusting feeling of tears burning down his cheeks. He rubbed until his cheeks were red, but at least he didn't feel the tears.
