Mesa ripped the feather free and whirled backwards for a moment as she was struck. She felt hot blood dripping off her body- coming from her thigh, dripping onto her legs. She was in a rage now. She flew at Pebble and struck her in the chest with a hard beak. When the female pidge lowered her head in pain, Mesa struck with her bloody claws. She slashed at her head, leaving a huge cut that raked down Pebble's right eye.

She smirked and put her bloody talon to her beak, licking some of it off. She waited until the female was gone before flying into her underground network, flying to her nest under Half-Price's station, bloody.

She landed on the top of the television and peered down into the slits at Sunshine. Her blood, mixed with Pebbles, dripped down onto Sunshine's sleeping form. She smirked.

"Guess what, little chickadee." she whispered, knowing he wouldn't wake. "I killed her."
