"Hello Quincy. You are taller than last time." After all he hadn't called her Ent again, Dalal decided. "Miss" at least meant that he had some respect for her and Ranza seemed to like him around, after all he called her Captain. The girl had decided for herself that she wouldn't try to bother her friend with any kind of rude comments about her party guests, so Quincy went as non-gender person for the day. Dalal grinned and wondered if he would be offended if he knew.
The bus arrived once again. Dalal wrinkled her nose. Her eyes were definitely showing her unhappiness, but she decided to keep her mouth shut...for now.
"Treasure hunt and cookies sound good to me. You have to open your presents, too!" Dalal smiled at Ranza.

Ranza looked at Dalal, a bit confused by her persistence. "My mom always says that you're supposed to open presents at the end of the party," she said. "Let's go find the treasure and then we can eat cake and open 'em."
With that declaration, she hopped to her feet. She waved Aaron over - "Come ON you're taking FOREVER let's GO!" - and motioned for the others to get up as well. Exi had left the map on the table, so she grabbed it and marched triumphantly down the stairs as she unfurled it. The handwriting looked familiar...

The mantis girl felt a bit embarassed as Ranza made her statement. "Ah...okay," was everything she decided to say to that matter. She had never been to a birthday party before, so how should she know that was the right thing to do? Besides, presents were always the best part about celebrations. She only had to think of Christmas and how everyone was mad about receiving gifts.
So another new experience was waiting for her. Treasure hunt. Sounded like something she usually wouldn't do. "Alright, what do you do on a hunt?" Dalal asked bluntly and tried to peer at the map.

Though younger, Sabina was still keen enough to tell that she was at some advantage in present company simply by not being a smelly boy. The appearance of a decidedly not-smelly boy saved her from asking why this was. Her head tilted unconsciously when he referred to Ranza as 'Captain', immediately wondering if her friend now preferred the title before she could realize she knew the present not-smelly boy as he said her name.
"Quincy!" she squeaked, hopping up to hug him. Aware now that birthday parties were great opportunities for gathering hugs, Sabina also noticed that it took a rather big hop to get to Quincy; he, like Ranza, had grown since they'd last met. Concern now etched on her face through knitted brows, she released the boy and found herself too pensive for talking much. Instead, seizing distraction she tugged him by the sleeve, eying Captain Ranza down the stairs, and urged modestly, "C'mon, c'mon!"
