For our Chinese New Year party I got party favors for the kids from Oriental Trading Company (they're super-cheap) - red good-luck envelopes filled with strawberry-flavor hard candy. It might be a good party favor for your wee gal, since red envelopes are part of traditional new year festivities. Dunno how soon you need them, though...Maybe next year?

Used to do that in hawaii some times with certain teachers or neighbors. biggrin Im gonna get bubbles for the kids it will be fun

WELL !!!!
Today is a busy day! Wrote out (with cookie cutters) Happy Birthday Kaylee with laffy taffy found a Winnie the pooh and piglet cookie cutter and used them for Her cake. I have cooked chicken to cut for the quesadillas.
For the gift bags I bought some Kid fashion activity books,, Sidewalk chalk for the slightly older kids and Bubbles... Im worried because I could only find fruit smelling bubbles... so I paniced all day!
I will go to work come home put baby to bed and start baking her cake I wont put the letters on till We get to the party house... I have to find her stuffed animals She has been busy hiding them from so that will be fun!
She went through a growth spurt this week so almost NONE of her clothes fit biggrin YAY!!! So me and my mom have been trying clothes on her and finding ones that do fit.. biggrin This will be eventful!
EDIT: Har Har Right before work like 10 minutes ago (my time is 3:50pm) Slammed my finger in the dryer and took a chuck of skin with it... HAR HAR!! hurts like crazy! finger is tingly..Did I break it I have no Idea.. But it sucks for me who is usally slow to respond to things like this any way..

When it rains, it pours, doesn't it? It will be harder to get everything done, but doable! Good luck!

OH BOY DOES IT!! Today is the perfect example! I was sitting on the couch just got done giving kaylee a hug.. I was relaxing from staying up till 1 in the morning after work baking... And she is now walking every where so she tries to lift her foot about my foot trips and falls on her bouncer/rocking chair... I lift her up for comfort and blood OOOOOZZZEDD from her mouth... I flipped out! I got paper towels and put them in her mouth like 2 seconds later she stopped crying and bleeding wanted off my lap and stopped being hugged and started chewing on a pen.....Here I am covered in blood and spit shaking like mad and she wanted to chew a pen! She cried in small sobs every now and again I checked her mouth it wasnt to swollen and it looks like she bite her either upper lip or bottom lip... doesnt look like teeth went through but Omg I paniced so bad! I let her drink some water and take a nap... So much for birthday punches huh?

And what is it about the blood from one of our children that creates so much panic and such a panic response in us? The mouth, nose, and ears bleeding always panicked me because they just gush even when it is not necessarily serious.
You weathered another one, pat yourself on the back!

I know! It was terrible and I was shaking for so long.. She did something after the party (thank god) that made he lip bleed again slightly and I flipped out slightly my hubby tried to calm me down but I snapped at him.. XD good thing he just glared and finally let me apologize!!
The party was awesome! She got all new clothes which is great because she out grew all of her 12 month clothes .. poor thing I couldnt get the twelve months clothes over her head .. She even has 24 months for the summer... and A few 2t to 3t for the winter and next year.. I think Im set biggrin She got a bunch of toys that confuse me but she loves her monkeys and a piggy bank some one got her the most.. The piggy bank has plastic coins that if you set it to the counting setting it counts them as you put them in... I will probually spend the day showing her how to put them in.
I did have a dilemma with the cake i took her dress off so she wont get it covered in cake. Well my mom and my hubbys mom both had a fit about it saying she cant eat a cake naked and blah blah blah and how they wouldn't do it... I picked her up and looked them dead in the face and said you all have your Opinions but this kid -held her up to them- I made it so its my choice and she is going naked! and they tried to huff about it so I threw in i was the one doing the laundry later not them so it was my choice still! Thank god my little girl is a angel though! She looked at the cake in confusion i even ripped it open slightly for her and she still wanted nothing to do with it... I put her hand in the ripped open part and she gave me this D: WTF look! and then my baby sister came over and dug her hand in again... She wanted nothing to do with it infact when any of it fell on her stomach she paniced pulled it off and wiped her stomach off... But as soon as we gave her some milk to wash the cake down we had been feeding her she smashed it in to the cake the bottle got worse then her!
biggrin it was a fun day My mom ... Same as usual go figure Every one loved the cakes Will get pictures soon! Maybe even a video of her eatting her cake.. biggrin

LOL! That's great! I'm glad things went well, and good job holding the line. I can't remember if my kids were naked for their first cake or not, but my mom certainly recommended it. She said that way it's easier to just plunk 'em in a bathtub to get the cake out of their ears afterward. Of course, much like your Kaylee, my son practically panicked about getting messy, and my daughter was always a pretty neat eater (bizarre, but true). But even the daintiest one-year-old still usually has a beard or even a complete face-painting by the time cake is over. Happy Birthday to that lovely little angel of yours!

You guys are one of the reasons I stood up to them.. And it was easy I just ripped her diaper off and tossed her in the tub ... She rubbed most of it into her hand she was panicing about that more then anything and would dust her stomach off... It was a pretty awesome site to see

It sounds like everything went well! I am so glad. Jen wouldn't get dirty with her first birthday cake, but all 4 of my others dug in!

Yeah At least next year I can have her blow the candles out.. I did get fussed at for not haveing a candle but kaylee is one of those show no fear babies till after she has done it... And the last thing I wanted her to do was grab the candle and melt a eyeball.

Or become afraid of something she will find great joy in when she is prepared to confront the candles with a little more life experiences behind her.

That too! Luckly She usually well right now at least uses experiences to learn from.. Like climbing upstairs she learned not to try and climb like momma you will fall even with momma behind you.. And to not go in the street the curb trips you and momma yells.
