Giving a sad nod, she frowned but didn't leave his side. "Then at least... for tonight... could we forget about all of this? Could it be just the two of us with the weight of the world gone from our shoulders?" She lifted a paw to drag a digit across his jawline. "Please.." She whispered with a pleading in her eyes, "..Be with me... tonight?"

His jaw went slightly ajar at her question but it immediately closed. Looking at her with an admiration, he gave a slight nod, his eyes not leaving hers. "Anything for you.. especially tonight.." Smiling softly, he leaned down and gave her a deep kiss before she led him off to a more comfortable spot where they could spend the rest of the night... alone.
