She nods, "I have heard of Nameless. There is not much known about him though. Flames are simply the beginning, Minkishi, there is more...much much more."

She pauses, frowning a touch as she thinks, "True sight? Not that I know of, though I have heard of a spell that gives a form of...echolocation sight. It allows a beta to 'see' things by the vibrations they send through the water."

She blinks at the show of anger but claps her fins when he spontaneously sparks the flame. "Excellent Minkishi!! Who lied to whom? And about what? The sight I told you about, I don't know if it can be made permanent...but it would allow for sight without eyes at least for a time. It can be recast. You would have to speak to someone much more powerful than I am about permanency though. My brother Necro may know of such a thing but getting him to do anything is difficult at best. He has no heart to appeal to, no emotions to play on."

She swims over, reaching out a fin for his hand. "Here, let me see your hand, you hit the coral pretty hard...", she looks up at him, "You really love her don't you?"

She looks discomfitted for a moment, "I...am Absinthe's daughter, VooDoo's niece. I am sorry, I should have told you earlier. If anyone could make it permanent, it would be him. He is extremely powerful, puts my own abilities to shame, I have to say. Its quite possible that he could restore your mother's sight forever."

She looks back to his hand and mutters under her breath, passing a fin over his knuckles. The tears mend, no trace of them to be found on his skin. "There...the very least I can do, though I can understand if you hate me as well now. If you wish me to leave, I will, though if you do, perhaps you will look for my other father, Umehito Nekozawa, he can continue your training."

"I...am sorry that your mother is so mistreated, she has served VooDoo well and deserves better. I will redouble my own training, perhaps I can learn to make it permanent myself...", she certainly doesn't act like the other members of the VooDoo family, its almost as if she actually has a heart.

She nods when he turns his back on her, it was expected. "I am sorry Minkishi, I should not have deceived you about who I was.", she turns to leave but pauses when he speaks to her.

Her head drops down, "Unlike the rest of my siblings and various relatives...I have a heart. It must have passed on from my other father and I must hide it from the rest of them or else they will turn on me, call me traitor, perhaps even kill me." She looks back at him with her pupiless blue eyes, "Please, please don't tell anyone about this. I have to gain in strength, in power, until I can hold them off. Then they can know...then it will not matter."

She turns to watch him when he speaks, her face showing her relief clearly for a moment before turning guarded. "Does that mean you would reveal my secret if it would benefit you? Are you as mercenary as they are?", she gets a determined look at his question and nods. "I have to, I can't hide my having a heart from them forever. They will find out and I will most likely have to fight for my life. If I can show them that I am every bit a match for their powers, then perhaps they will leave me alone."

She shrugs a bit, her fins fluttering lightly, "I -will- become strong enough to hold my own against them, I don't have any other choice. What about you? Don't you want to be able to stop them from treating your mother so badly?"

"I am sorry, I have spent too long around them. I fear I have grown too suspicious of others." She drops her head in embarassment, "Thank you...thank you very much."

"I think...she's fixated on VooDoo's saying that he will give her sight to her if she serves him faithfully. I don't think he will, ever, unless it amuses him to do so. And if he did return it, my guess is that he would take away soon after just for his own amusement.", she looks up at him. "I think...you would be better if she was ashamed for a short while than to let her remain under his control."

She gives a humorless laugh and shakes her head, "Look at me, I am my father's daughter all over in appearance, I have his powers as well as my other father's abilities...but I care. I would be a liability to them because of it. I do not simply seek my own pleasure..."

Bathory simply waits, calm even with the knowledge that he holds her life in his hands.

She blinks at his offer, then cautiously extends a fin into his hand. "Agreed. We will work together to achieve both our goals." She pauses for a moment, just watching him, then darts up and kisses his cheek.* "Thank you, Minkishi."
