currintly, i am working on the solo for dazed and confused by led zepplin, i don't know how jimmy does it with a violin bow because i can't get it with a regular guitar pick!

The Kings Royal Baker So, what songs are you guys working on? I'm learning how to play Weezer's Say It Aint So. My band and I are planning to gig that song along with Hash Pipe. I'm mainly a rhythm player and I've stuck with that since I started, and the riffy bits and the solo are really kicking my a**, even though they're relatively simple. Our lead guitarist was recently kicked out, so wish me luck on getting my solo chops. sweatdrop good luck. i am working on learning power, wisdom, and courage by powerglove it is epic. and i am also working on flobot's handlebars i transferred the trumpet solo part over to guitar it sounds pretty bad a**.

That downpicking in the verse is just a big NO for me. I can get most of the other parts just fine, even the solo, just not that damn verse.
...Plus it's a pain in the a** to have my guitar tuned to C#.

I've decided to spend a little time (very little) learning some Tool songs. Yeah I know they are easy and stupid. I hate Tool, but my girlfriend loves 'em. It was either Tool or Opeth. Opeth is boring and annoying, at least Tool is just boring.

All Nightmare Long by Metallica. I'm having trouble with that weird sound in the end of the first solo, but I'm not too worried about it. As long as a weird sound is made, I'm sure the crowd will be happy with it.
I love the harmonic slide thing in the intro. It's fun as hell and easy to do. Might use it in some of my own songs if I get a chance...

I started learning Cryin' by Aerosmith and the solo from This I Love off the Chinese Democracy album from GNR. There are a bunch of bends in that solo so everything has to be right on or it will be off key. My fingers are shredded and raw because I spent the whole day practicing it. Well worth it.
Also spent some time on Peace Sells but Whos Buyin from Megadeth. 4laugh
