Nightmare considered Stardust's question for a moment with a thoughtful glance before grimacing to herself. I'd rather swallow my tounge than consume a drop of that acidic waste. With a sinister growl at the disintegrated shoe she added, I'd choose flesh over filth anyday.
The dark wolf's attention was adverted at an irritated groan as her pale eyes fell upon the disgruntled form of Damien. His peevish glare was met with a bored gaze from the Alpha as she gave him a predatory grin. It speaks she hissed in amusement. With the putrid stench of the giftbox's contents clogging up her senses, Nightmare had nearly forgotten that Damien could hear every word she was saying.
Anna chuckled softly at the glare tossed by Damien to her bond. Apparently one of Nightmare's side-remarks was unable to escape him. The only thing that was preventing Anna from aiding Riya when she fell back was the acidic creature under her boot. She watched Damien hoist the younger Lieutenant up with a bemused expression.
"I don't suppose you know what this thing is?" she carefully asked Riya when the other woman was positioned on her feet once more. Feeling the slithering form under her heel suddenly fall limp, the Lieutenant warily eased her boot up. However neither she nor the creature had time to react as Feral quickly snapped up the acidic being and swallowed it. Anna stared at the wolf for a moment before meekly responding, "That can't be healthy..."
Straightening herself out, Annabel edged around the older of the Alphas an crouched down beside her fallen captain. "Becoming acquainted with the ground today, are we?" she quipped in a soft tease as she extended a hand out to help Damien up.
The black wolf sat expressionless, staring at the spot where the acidic creature had once been. Her ears fell back as she was somewhat irked about not having the chance to bite the fiend's head off, then again she would probably have had the stench in her snout for weeks had she done so. I guess we'll find out what the human's surprise will taste like after-all~ she noted wryly to Stardust before switching her gaze over to her mate. How does it taste, my dear?

Touche, Stardust responded to the older female, also glancing at the remains of the shoe with suspicion. The sudden disturbance from the siblings had the young Alpha turning to glance at her human, watching the interactions with slight amusement. For all their composure with the Patrol, Riya and Damien easily lost their facade when they were with each other. But it was amusing to watch, to say the least.
A dark rumble escaped Stardust's throat at Nightmare's statement about Damien, her wolfish way of laughter. So it does. Feral taught it well.
A twitch had developed above Riya's eyebrow, slightly disappointed (and somewhat peeved) that her wolf hadn't jumped to defend her from the acidic mess. Now she was lying in a tangle of limbs on top of Damien, and the only good thing that came out of the current situation is that he had broken her fall. The man made quite a surprisingly good cushion - clearly, he had been eating too much again. "You got fat--"
Her words were cut short as he stood up and dragged her with him, much to her indignity. Riya barely had time to stutter as she found herself on her feet once more, glaring up at the grinning idiot known as her brother. "Yes, yes.. always waiting for you to save me," she answered blandly, face a dull look of annoyance. A roll of the eyes as she crossed her arms in defiance. "Next time, remind me to run you over."
But what happened next couldn't have come at a better time as Feral stepped forward and... onto Damien. Blinking, Riya had to make sure she saw the scene before her properly, before realizing that this wasn't really that unusual of a sight. A smirk crossed her features as she stood by and simply... watched. Not that she could help even if she wanted to (which she didn't), because only an idiot would cross Feral's path.
Turning her head towards Anna, the young Lieutenant glanced at the sizzling blob on the ground. "The question is... what isn't it? Knowing Shizuka, she probably threw in everything she could find--" For the second time within the span of a few minutes, Riya was cut off, but this time by something far worse. Feral had just gobbled up the... thing. "Um..." was all she managed as she stared wide-eyed at the male Alpha in horror, almost expecting him to explode.
Stardust, too, watched with uncertainty as Feral ingested the strange greenness with seemingly no side effects. But she could only stare at him in slight fright - she would've looked disgusted if she wasn't so sure that he was going to sprout another pair of legs on his back. That's... rather unappealing, she commented, but also waiting curiously for Feral's thoughts on his 'food.'
Tearing her eyes away from the montrosity that had just occured, Riya managed to settle her sights on her brother, watching with interest as Anna knelt beside the fallen Captain to help him up. "I think we should leave him down there, he seems to like it."

Damien let out a gasp as Feral finally removed his fat feet of the man's chest. Suddenly, a hand was offered to help him up and Damien glanced up towards his savior and offered her a slight grin. "Just wondering why our privates and apprentices find it so appealing." He, with the help of Anna, got to his feet and hopefully will remain on them for the remainder of this nice little gathering from Feral hell.
Luckily, poor Damien's heart was not further wounded by Riya's sarcastic comment since the captain was preoccupied with his look of confusion. He glanced at the alpha wolves and vaguely wondered why they were starting at Feral with such odd expressions. Perhaps the wolf had killed someone while he was down and out; however, Damien seriously thought that the wolf would have at least had enough mercy to let the unfortunate human scream in horror before being wolf-kibbles.
Damien stared at his wolf hard as though suddenly realizing the dark creature was currently chewing on something… which could not be good. So he did eat something! Nothing seemed to be missing and the idea of Feral eating another person would probably put the other leaders in terror rather than the calm they seem to hold… although sometimes he did wonder if they would care if an apprentice disappeared or not. That was another story for hopefully not a time coming soon. The only thing that was missing was… then Damien noticed the now apparent trail of dying grass leading to were Feral now sat. Oh s**t.
Feral chewed the blob and vaguely wondered if the creature was currently bleeding into his mouth. Perhaps that is what that sweet taste on his tongue was. Unfortunately, Feral did not like sweets… It needs more salt, the wolf commented after a long while, Shizuka needs to be informed of this error. He nodded to himself before finally swallowing the substance. Otherwise, it tastes like apprentices. Feral grinned.
Damien's eyes widen as Feral noticeably swallowed. Oh damn the ends of Feral's hell! Was the wolf glowing? Damien could swear on Shizuka's future grave that the wolf was glowing! (he isn't) The captain paled. "What if he explodes?! Would I get demoted?!"

The Lieutenant blinked up at Riya's suggestion and grinned softly, but helped the poor man up nonetheless. Once he was on his feet again, she gave his shoulder a few curt pats to dust it off. "I'm sure you were." she noted sarcastically, but in good humor to the man.
Annabel watched the female Alphas curiously as they waited for Feral's reaction. He seemed not to have noticed the dead patch of grass that the acidic substance had left and continued to chew on the blob despite the unpleasant stench. After a moment of thought, the older wolf finally swallowed the creature. The woman hummed curiously at this. "I wonder... what it was exactly that Madame Shizuka put into that. You don't suppose she has access to rat poison, do you?" she asked Riya with an inquisitive side glance.
Nightmare's ears perked curiously, staring intently at her mate as he consumed the substance. Who knew humans could make food to meet our standards? she growled teasingly. Perhaps they are good for something afterall. The dark wolf glanced down at the decaying grass. Take care not to spontaneously combust, else the humans might-- she paused, deciding the current reactions from the high-ranked officers were too amusing to give up so easily. On second thought, seeing the boy pass out would be hilarious in it's own right-- oh terribly sorry, forgot you can hear that, Damien. she falsely corrected herself with a soft snicker.
Anna stared impassively at the wolves as Damien sputtered frantically. "I think 'explodes' is a little irrational... For all we know, Shizuka's cooking could be the wolf equivalent of chocolate. Enjoyable to them, deadly to us." she noted thoughtfully. "Besides, if Feral were to explode..." Anna's eyes narrowed slightly as a small, teasing smirk crept onto her face. "I think you would be retired early rather than demoted." She tipped her head back to give Damien a playful wink. "But then that would give you the perfect reason to spend more time with your mother, now wouldn't it?" she purred. Unfortunately, Anna's form of sympathy tended to come out through dark humor.

Riya was back to staring at Feral, though she really shouldn't have been so shocked that he had ingested yet another one of Shizuka's horrendous creations. Then again, none of the ones before had sizzled or eaten through the ground like some organic-devouring acid.
"Lady Shizuka has access to everything," she answered the Lieutenant with a slight wince, recalling how Damien's mother seemed to appear everywhere and at the most inopportune times. And those baby pictures she blackmailed the entire Fort with? Nobody had any idea how she had gotten her hands on those. Riya shuddered to think what Shizuka was doing at this very moment - no doubt the former Captain had far more time on her hands now that she was retired.
Stardust pulled her ears back, slightly horrified at what the older Alpha female was now suggesting. Although as she glanced at Feral's seemingly thoughtful expression, he did manage to make the green goo appear to be partially edible if not somewhat delectable. But still... I think I shall pass, she responded with another disgusted look at the now bubbling contents in the dirt. Then Stardust looked over at Damien too, with as thoughtful an expression as a wolf could muster. Do you think a human would explode if they consumed it?
"Demotion sounds nice," the young woman continued with a smirk spreading across her features, open to either Feral or Damien himself exploding. Riya then placed a comforting hand on her brother's shoulder along with a feigned expression of sympathy, resisting the urge to punch him just so he'd be on the ground again. "But I agree with Anna. Lady Shizuka would be so thrilled to be able to coddle you everyday." Riya paused as she pretended to think, then looked seriously at Anna. "You know what, maybe we should suggest to her that forcing Damien to retire would mean she could spend every single day with him."
