"Well yeah, I was out somewhere... nothing important, but that doesn't mean it wasn't bad..." Yusuke raised an eyebrow in surprise at all the questions and ideas that were being thrown at him. He really hadn't been doing anything important, but it would feel awkward to say that judging by Kurama's questions. "So what's... going on here?" Yusuke eyed Kurama and Hiei, even more confused than before.

It was obvious that Kurama went into a silent pause for a moment; it really is awkward when you make such a pessimistic conclusion, and then that situation turned out entirely different from what you said. It was clear to the ex-demon that Yusuke was covering up for his mistake though,because of that, he was quick to recover from the pause, and he smiled gratefully, " I see. That's good to hear, " he replied optimistically. The confusion on his friend's face made him laugh a little, " Of course, nothing bad is happening here either. Hiei and I were just having a nice chat, " his smile widened slightly, and he added, for Hiei's benefit, " Apparently Hiei was watching over me and decided to wait here."
Kurama was sure that the comment would frustrate Hiei and plunge the demon into a irritated, long, rant; that's what Kurama was aiming for anyway.
As if the comment of nothing going wrong were a jinx upon all of them, an energy was slowly heading toward the three, it's spirit energy hidden. When it finally emerged from the tall grass, it was already leaping toward Kurama; and by the time that Kurama turned his head to notice, it was too late. The demon grabbed kurama by the shoulders, charging some sort of magic into Kurama at the same time as it tackled him. The unsuspecting teen was sent flying far back and into a tangle of bush branches. There was a few snaps of branches and a ruffle of leaves as he fell behind it; he hit the ground so roughly and suddenly that he was momentarily knocked out. He was wide open. The demon was ready to attack Kurama again, but Kurama was not ready to defend; Kurama was only just waking back up. Apparently Hiei was right about Kurama becoming slower and less aware of things the more that Kurama stayed in the human world.

 Hiei had noticed the demon approaching but hadn't thought for a moment that it would attack Kurama. It obviously didn't have any sort of motive for attacking. Kurama wasn't very good at angering people, so when most demons attacked they went after Hiei or Yusuke. They were much more skilled at making enemies. "What the -" Hiei drew his sword, but before he could slice the attacker in half, it turned an ran. Hiei took this as a blessing and let it run in fear.
He looked around for more, then at Yusuke, "Well, that was strange... Where did Kurama fly off to?"

 --- ץยкเภค ---Yukina had left Genkai's house not too long ago to go and live on her own.
Before then, she even taught herself to use a bit of her magic for fighting so that Genkai would be more convinced to let her go.
Not to mention, she still wished to find her "lost" brother, the one that wore the same necklace around their neck.
That was how she'd find him.
Also, she thought maybe she could find the others again, Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, Kuwabara ...
(Not going to list everyone)
She'd be so happy!
She knew they'd all been trying their best to help find her brother too ... but she believed she should put more effort into it as well.
She couldn't rely on others too much.
With these thoughts, she smiled brightly, and rushed on ahead, through the town, not noticing her friends near the ramen shop, or the noise of a demon attacking them, which was really loud, even the townspeople were freaking out.

Hiei glanced over to where Yusuke was pointing and saw Kurama lying face up in the bushes, and just beyond him, Yukina. A chill went down his back and his eyes went stone cold. Trying to play it cool, Hiei walked calmly over to Kurama and helped him sit up. "Hey, you okay Kurama?" he said trying to act like he didn't see his sister just feet from the two friends.

The red-haired teen laid there for a few moments after waking up, partial to the nauseated feeling he had due to how he had been thrown to the ground so quickly and so hard. It was more a surprise than a pain. When Hiei approached him though and asked if he was alright, Kurama sat up and raised a hand to his head; the nausea wasn't leaving, " Yes, I'm fine. I was just caught by surprise is all, " he assured, then proved that statement by standing up with no problem at all. He felt an aura approaching and turned his head to see Yukina nearby; Kurama smiled and looked to Hiei antagonizingly, " It's Yukina. I'm sure you missed her seeing as you've been on patrol for so long, " he whispered barely audibly, and then chuckled.

The cold stare faded out of Hiei's eyes, only to be replaced by a threatening stare. Kurama knew that Hiei wouldn't hurt him, but he liked to bother him when he was teasing Hiei about his sister. "Bite me." Hiei whispered under his breath. Then, rethinking his demand, he whispered "Screw you" and stepped back, giving Kurama room to steady himself, while trying not to look at Yukina. "Yeah, you're fine."

The feeling of people staring at her. She didn't enjoy it much. It was strange. It could be anyone watching her, anyone.
Yukina blinked and spun around.
Yukina by now, noticed the three and gave a small wave before making her way towards them.
"Hello, it's you three again." She looked around, before setting her eyes on the three once more.
"Um ... where is everyone else ... ?"

Kurama easily ignored all of Hiei 's obscene comments as Yukina approached he, Hiei, and Yusuke. The red haired teen smiled brightly at the young ice maiden, she had grown much since the last time they had all seen her, by inches even, " Hello, " he greeted warmly, " We haven't seen you for awhile; you just up and left Genkai 's land and we 'd completely lost track of you, " a wide smile grew on Kurama 's face when a wonderful idea dawned upon him, " Hiei especially missed you! He 's been in demon world for quite a while, and he 's only recently come to the human world. He 's been talking about you! " The red haired teen then gave Hiei a nice shove to stumble right beside his clueless twin sister; this was, of course, payback for those obscene comments Hiei had made toward him. And it was also just really amusing to watch Hiei 's reactions to his young sister. Kurama had and always has been pushing Hiei and lecturing him as to why he should really admit to Yukina that he 's her sister; if Hiei would only do that, then Hiei would finally be able to talk to his twin sister and the anxiousness of wondering what to say every time he approached her would be gone.

An awkward blankness crept through Hiei's mind; He could slay an attacking demon without blinking, but talking to Yukina was something he hasn't improved at over time. Kurama had always been trying to push Hiei into telling his sister the truth, and ending her fruitless searches through the worlds for someone that had been standing a few steps behind her the whole time. While jabbing Kurama in the gut with his elbow, Hiei spoke to Yukina as if he were ignorant of their relationship, "The others have been minding their own business lately, mostly in the demon world." He could feel the fox demon's breathe on the back of his neck, and didn't particularly like it, so Hiei moved back toward Yusuke - behind Kurama. Sitting down against the tree, he looked up at Kurama's face, knowing the demon was thinking something, plotting, and wanting to know what it was - hoping to read his expressions as he talked to the young ice maiden.

(LOL. A bit out of character-ness may come ... -sigh- >^< ;; )
A gentle smile spread across her lips as Kurama spoke to her, and her eyes then slowly set on Hiei, who was suddenly right beside her.
"Really? Is that true Hiei?" Yukina questioned curiously, her crimson-red eyes showing nothing but pure innocence. She had absolutely no idea that Hiei was her brother that she'd been searching for.

 The cord around Hiei's neck suddenly felt much heavier as his sister acknowledged his comment. If Hiei had had a heart, he was sure it would be thumping against the inside of his ribs at this point trying to escape. "Uh, yeah. Sure. Kurama mentioned that you moved from Genkai's, I was curious as to where you were going." Hiei tried without avail to keep his breathing under control, and his temperature normal. He could feel the blood soar through the vains making it feel like he was burning up.

How wonderful it was to be concerned about someone enough to want to help them, and then receiving a nice jab into the soft skin of the stomach. Normally, one would hit back, but Kurama only closed his eyes and chuckled antagonistically; to one like Yukina who didn't understand the situation the chuckle would be just weird and creepy, but to Hiei, who was well aware of Kurama 's intention it would be both irritating and frightening. The red-haired teen 's green eyes looked over to Yukina, and the warm smile from before still remained on his face, " Yes. It's true; his concern for you is high, he may as well think of you as a younger sister. " Point made. But as naive as Yukina was, she wouldn't understand, Kurama was only trying to make an opening for Hiei to admit the truth; though Kurama knew very well that Hiei would rather hit him again than admit to his sister.

Kurama had hit the nail on the head. Hiei would rather hit him again, much rather. And that's precisely what he was going to do - as soon as Yukina had gone. He saw absolutely no reason to admit their relation now, she would only cry and question him on why he hadn't said something sooner, throughout the time they had spent around each other the last few years, and he had no explanation to offer her. He didn't know for sure himself why he hadn't told her after his first reason had been killed. Hiei just assumed it would be easier to protect her if she didn't know he was there, and if she knew, she would always be looking around for him. He considered saying 'Not that worried.' but quickly thought better of it, afraid of sounding rude and insensitive. So Hiei just sat in silence and glared at Kurama, with deep vengeance lying just under the surface waiting for his sister to leave so he could take it out on the suspecting fox demon.
