He understood the basic philosophy of what she was saying; after all, hadn't he left the comfort and security of his home at a young age to travel the world? He'd felt that he needed to move on then, and though it was more drastic than staying out in the night to watch stars, the feeling was likely similar. Still, he'd been older than she was, even if he had been barely an adult. It was dangerous for her to be on her own, and the sooner she realized those dangers, the better.
"Simply because we set free what we love doesn't mean we also don't worry. When we trust, we especially worry." He shook his head, thinking of his parents, and the guarded concern in his father's eyes when he'd spoken of leaving. "I believe it is because we trust that we can't help but worry. A guardian would have to ask himself, Did I trust too much? Was there more I could do? if something went wrong."
