Travis III Keanu Reeves is a better actor than most people give him credit for. He was great in "A Scanner Darkly". Actually I watched A Scanner Darkly yesterday and wasn't all that impressed by anyone's acting. Reeves was typically stale, though, and his narration was terrible, devoid of emotion. That said, I think the focus of the film fell more on the rotoscoping than anything else, which was an interesting experiment but otherwise rather silly feeling to me.

Mika Relie Yes, everyone. Spike and the gang are coming to the big screen. In live action too. Normally I would be psyched about it. But the person they have for the lead role smothers any real desire to see this film. No! Why did they give the role to him?!For those of you who want to know...read on. Of all the people in the world, why Keanu Reeves? He can't do anything but deadpan straight. And Spike is anything but. Reeves was perfect for the Matrix. But this? No way in frigging hell can he pull this off.
But, God, I hope the trailers prove me wrong.Please discuss. Can't wait to see the results of that ninja

Reeves aside, who could they get to play the rest of the cast. I don't know if there are any actresses who could pull of Ed. And what about Faye and Jet?

I loved it when Warner Brothers cast Constantine and turned a blond British guy into a Keanu Reeves Bill-&-Ted-dark-haired wizard guy with the American accent and no acting skills to do such a film as The Hellblazer.
He was good in The Matrix, he did well enough in A Scanner Darkly, his best role in my opinion was The Replacements.
I'll have to see a trailer first before my decision becomes something other than spite.
