"Thank you, sweetie." Stasia said, smiling as she kissed the top of the kid's head. She then looked to Vate. "Children aren't as stupid as adults tend to believe." she said, shrugging. "Just try and ask nicely; that's what I did with my kids." She smiled, handing the baby back over to Vate.

"That makes sense." Vate said, smiling. He took Almie, and gazed at her for a moment. "I think we'll be getting along better, don't you?" He asked.
Almie cooed in response. She leaned her head against Vate's chest. Vate looked up at Stasia in surprise. "What do I do now?" He asked.

Stasia smiled, mimicking the motions to show him what to do. All he had to do was tuck the baby's head under his chin and rub her back. It was pretty simple. "See, it's not that hard, is it?" she said, grinning at him. So far, this seemed more like a parenting class than a date, but she really didn't mind all too much.

Vate imitated Stasia with ease; Almie was falling asleep fairly quickly. "Thank you," Vate said, "She hasn't slept since I got her and... I've been.. worried." He had trouble admiting it. "So... Uh, I'm sorry. This hasn't been a very good date at all.." He paused, "So far."

Stasia smiled. "No problem." she said, waving her hand a bit. "And the date's been fine. Definitely more interesting than some of my previous romantic exploits."

Vate brightened. "Really?" He asked, blushing. "It hasn't been too boring?" He paused, and looked at his watch. "It's almost time for the movie. Do you know where the theater is?" He was slightly embrassed. "I've never been there."

Stasia grinned; giggling. Aww, the little fella looked cute when he blushed. "No, it hasn't been." she said, then nodded. "Yeah, I know where it is." She said, chuckling and taking his hand, leading him in the right direction. "Just follow me."

Vate was surprised. He followed Stasia, stairing at their hands. He couldn't help it. This benefited him in two ways-- he could hide his blushing face, and he could make sure he didn't trip with Almie. That'd be troublesome.. Thali would never let him hear the end of that one.

Stasia led them to the theatre, smiling slightly. As the walked through the doors, she released the other's hand, smiling at him. "I'll go get the tickets, okay? Hmm....you think we'll need to get a ticket for Almie? She's a baby and all..." She said, rattling off her thoughts in a small murmur near the end. Nah, they wouldn't make them buy a ticket for an infant, would they?

Vate shook his head. "I'll pay for them." He insisted. The elf liked to pretend to be a proper gentleman, even though he was very much not one.
"I don't think they'd charge us for her.." He said, looking at the sign. "It says children under four are free."

"Nonsense." Stasia said, rolling her eyes. "Tell you what, though....you can pay for Almie's ticket." She said, chuckling before making her way quickly to the ticket booth. He couldn't buy the tickets if he didn't get a chance to!

Vate sighed. A man never let his date pay.. But Stasia seemed stubborn, so maybe he'd just pay for the food? He didn't know if he could stop Stasia anyway. "Fine," He said. "I'll pay for the popcorn and drinks." He went to get in line before she could.

Stasia grinned. "Fine, but I'm paying for dinner!" she called after him, chuckling before handing the money over for the tickets. It felt so good to win the argument. She pocketed the tickets, heading over to Vate. "I'll carry the snacks, since you've got your hands full with Almie." she offered, smiling.

Vate was starting to get annoyed. This wasn't the way things were supposed to work. He'd invited her, that meant he was supposed to pay. Or at least go dutch, but Thali had informed him that it made men look cheap when they did that.
He rolled his eyes, and nodded. It would be easier for her to carry the snacks anyway. He didn't want Almie to wake up and spoil the date.

Stasia noticed that Vate was annoyed, but to be honest, she could have cared less. She had her own way of doing dates.... Then again, it could have just been the fact that she enjoyed being difficult. Both were plausible reasons.
She smiled, taking the snacks and drinks. It was a bit difficult to balance it all, but it could have been worse. "You pick the seat, okay?" she said, smiling at Vate over the over-buttered popcorn.
