Actually, I got into Touhou first after hearing "Sweets Time" (remix of Flandre's theme) as the music for a MAD, and then "Marisa stole the precious thing" as part of Kumikyoku Nico Nico Douga (highly addicting). The first stage I ever saw was Mokou's Extra, because that's the first video that comes up. Er...I'm not actually interested in playing myself, it's just not my type of game. I AM interested in the music and doujins.
I have alot of favorite characters, mainly Mokou, Reimu, Kaguya, and Suika. Suika for being a drunk little girl with horns, Mokou and Kaguya for being immortal enemies, and Reimu for being a miko. I guess that means I like Sanae too, but I like red more than green, so there.

It's been a while since I've played Touhou since Simulationstyle @_@, since my computer broke down in the summer and my new one has keyboard problems x_x One day I just saw a topic on a MapleStory forum and saw a screenshot. It seemed interesting so I tried it. The first one I played was Perfect Cherry Blossom xD then i found out that there was more. I don't know what would be my favorite one but it might be PCB since their extra stages were more fun than IN's.

Hello, I'm Reisen, as you can see ^^;.
i got into touhou from watching one of those youtube parody videos and it just happens that IOSYS's "Overdrive" was one of them, and after searching few things about touhou, and well here i am today one of the numbers of touhou fans. i like pretty much most of the games, and the characters in them. and well that's pretty much about me. and nice to get to know you all ^^

I got into Touhou through Nico Nico Douga after seeing a lot of videos/artwork/songs about them (mostly of Cirno, though I like Reimu more =P).
Other than Touhou, I also like playing other shooting games like ESPGaluda, Raiden Fighters Jet, Progear, and Gradius III (Arcade). Oh and also some eroge too. Yeah, that's pretty much it... I think.ww

Hm, to be fully honest, I don't remember EXCACTLY how I got into Touhou... I believe I somehow stumbled across it on youtube with a few videos of Imperishable Night, and I was wow'd and instantly interested, and I did what most poor gamers do; I torrented it. I easily got addicted and found myself already able to beat it on hard (with 0 continues left though, and didn't get to fighting the princess for a long time on a regular run). After awhile, I knew that there had to be more, especially with the program being titled 'Th08', so I googled Touhou after learning the series's name and found more torrents, namely PCB and IaMP (I'm not that good at IaMP, as shmups have now become my forte).
Ever since I first found it, I've become a BIG fan of Touhou and want to get as many Touhou related things when I get the money to buy stuff (Plushies, shirts, etc...)

wow, there's actually a Gaia guild for Touhou.
Anyway, I got into Touhou after searching through Youtube and typing in Danmaku since im a fan of the DoDonPachi series and thats when I saw a replay video of Mountain of Faith and instantly fell in love with it and the idea of Danmaku-ism.
My favorite characters has got to be Marisa Kirisame and Momizi Inubashiri after encountering her in Mountain of Faith and seeing her in Aya related Video's biggrin

Hello, and thank you for the invite!
I'm a Touhou fan despite being terrible at the games (Still have yet to beat any of them in normal mode...can only do easy so far ;_; ). I absolutely adore Cirno and Daiyousei, and Sakuya's a close 3rd in terms of favorites.
I don't remember how exactly I got into it, originally I saw it flooding /a/ back before /jp/ and finally decided to figure out what in the world it was all about. IN was the first game I finished on easy (both FinalA and FinalB.) Can get to Stg6 on Normal but then I get destroyed. D: Finished EoSD and MoF on easy as well, PCB still smacks me around like a little girl though. Need more practice!~

I got into Touhou after a Russian friend of mine gave me a copy of Perfect Cherry Blossom. I started playing that, and got sucked into the rest of the series thanks to the characters, music, and difficult gameplay.

I got into Touhou after watching the Japanese McDonalds commercial that has a redone version of U.N. Owen was Her in it a friend's replay of Imperishable Night on Lunatic. I tried, and failed. Well, I can sorta do it now. But I usually don't make it far.

I got into Touhou after my friend showed me Perfect Cherry Blossom. The rest is history. I absolutely adore it! I'm trying to make it pass Stage 3 of Subterranean Animism but I'm not getting far.

A little bit of a late post, but here it goes:
It all started with the music, actually. IOSYS launched their album '東方乙女囃子' back in 2006, and I was instantly hooked to it upon listening to the first track. Needless to say, I just had to learn more about it. After digging around for a bit, I learned that it was a series of game n' all that...
Been a fan ever since.
Favorite character? Komachi, without any doubt, because her personality is quite similar to mine (read: Laid back, slacks off from work, gets yelled at because of it). Next to her is Yuyuko because she thinks of food a lot and makes random remarks for no apparent reason... like me.
And that's that.

I first heard about Touhou when I saw a remix of Perfect Cherry Blossom's stage one theme on OCRemix. I saw the screenshot they put up from the game and I thought, "Wow, that danmaku looks insane. I'll try it sometime, because I'm crazy like that!" So my brother got me Perfect Cherry Blossom the following Christmas, and I ended up really liking it. Then he also got me Imperishable Night on my following birthday.
Right now my main goal is to find Ran and Chen, lock them in a closet somewhere, usurp their positions as Yukari's shikigami, and live happily with her forever.

I've been into Touhou since I found Marisa stole the Precious Thing, after I played PCB,I COMPLETELY forgot about it, then I saw the McRoll on YouTube, there was a link to Flandre's Theme, then I remembered I had Touhou 7 on my computer.
My favorite characters are Youmu, Suwako, Cirno and Yukari.

Wow, thank you for the invite~<3 It made me as happy as wontons in a Chinese soup ^^
I admit I first heard of Touhou from a ohagi "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" remix of U.N. Owen/Saishuukichikushoujo on Nico Nico Douga
I can proudly say that it's not the hamburger Ronald McDonald mix, though!
I went hunting, and I fell in love with Remilia and Flandre after watching the flash animation of Touhou Sweets! (yum!)
Finally, after similar patterns with the many, many other songs, I went and got Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil from doujinstyle...and then, Imperishable Night...and then finally spent a day downloading everything cannon they had to offer.
I'm really liking Satori-chan right now, although the preference is very slight over everybody else in Gensoukyou > <; At the moment, though, a vocal mix of the song "Bad Apple!!" (apparently the theme of Elly, a character I'm unfortunately unfamiliar with since she's from the PC-98 games...) is my top.
I suck at the fighting games....I don't have a USB control pad >>;
And yes, Misty is delicious. I can testify.
Anyways, nice to meet you all!
(P.S. I seemed to have misplaced my clothing, so I decided to pick up whatever looked yummy good around. I'm working on rebuying them before Youmu notices.)
