There were three things that Lucy Danielle Sullivan could not live without, or at least go outside without. And those things are her Blackberry Pearl, her iPod Touch, and her cameras. Or at least one of her nine cameras. But out of all her prized possessions, her cameras are the most precious to her. After all, they were all fairly more expensive than her phone or her iPod. So she had to love them more, and take better care of them. Another reason she loved her cameras so much was because of her ambition to become a photographer. She most definitely had the imagination to become such a person. And just the idea of capturing the perfect moment and keeping it forever has been such an amazing thought to Lucy since she was five years old. Her mind was wandering around her dreams to become a famous photographer. The photos she had taken since she was a little girl hung on the walls of her room, some hanging on a string stuck to the ceiling. Lucy was determined to have every developed picture she has taken on her room wall. Her most current one is one of herself with another person in it. This person was her favorite cousin in the world. This same cousin was going to be the cause of her injury if she didn't awake from her reverie. "Lucy! Heads up!" came a voice, interrupting her thoughts.

Lucy blinked once then noticed a round orange ball flying towards her direction. She let out a small scream then rolled onto her stomach, out of the ball's way. She was suddenly glad that she had not worn her white shirt today, or she would have major grass stains. The orange basketball bounced right in front of her face, a few inches from her nose. Her eyes were wide from the closeness, but she soon let out a sigh and watched the ball roll slightly towards the gate. After a second or so, Lucy got up onto her knees, wiping off the grass that clung to her bare legs, her pink and lightgreen plaid shorts, and her pink tank top. She then ruffled her hair, making sure that there was no grass in there too. When everything seemed fine, Lucy picked up the ball close to her foot and stood up onto her feet, turning to look at the four boys staring at her with horror. Boys and their toys. she thought to herself, shaking her head. The four boys cautiously headed towards her, a worried look on their faces. The one leading was the tallest and more built of the four. And he was also her cousin. If it weren't for the fact that they had different last names, Lucy and her cousin Joseph would have passed as brother and sister. And if it weren't for the fact that he was her cousin and also four years younger, Lucy would have had a crush on him. He was that good looking. Lucy balanced the basketball on the palm of her hand, her other hand on her hip as she looked at the four teenage boys with a you-better-explain-yourself kind of look on her face, her head tilted to the side with an eyebrow raised. Blue eyes turned to look at the boy with curly blonde hair. Poor kid. She knew that he had a huge crush on her. And she would have liked him back, if he weren't five years younger. He was tall (as almost all teenage boys were), and he was very good looking. When the boys stood in front of her, a look of guilt on their faces because of the recent incident, Lucy smirked at the boys then tossed them the ball. "So who wants to tell me which one of you almost killed me with the basketball?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

It was unbelievably amazing how commited her cousin and his best friends were to playing sports. When they were in secondary school, they were considered jocks. And now that they were going into high school, Lucy was dead sure that they would still be known as jocks. I just hope the same kind of jock that Zack was in high school. she thought many times before when she was around those boys while they talked about the sports they would join. And right now, she was more than amazed. Not only was it a scientific fact that it was the beginning of summer vacation, but it was also six forty-two. In the morning. Earlier, Lucy had woken up to the sound of a dribbling ball on concrete and the sound of boys yelling like maniacs. Because her window was right above the hoop, the female was one pissed off girl to be woken up at six in the morning to the sound of boys playing sports. Now that it was forty-two minutes later, she was slightly pissed. But she could never stay mad for long. Plus, the boys gave her a reason to be outside early in the morning. For some reason, Lucy loved how the day looked in the early morning. And even though it was cloudy with a slight breeze, she had worn summer clothes that would have made her shiver. As well as get stared at by her cousin's friends. The first fact wasn't true, she was actually pretty warm. But the second...the minute she stepped out of the door, Joseph's friends had stopped the game and stared at her for a while before snapping back into their game. Lucy made sure to get a picture of that with her new point and shoot slim digital camera.

The boys stuttered for words, some able to get them out more than the others. Which made Lucy giggle behind her hand a bit. The boys, her cousin as well, were just so cute when they were nervous. Finally, Joseph hushed his friends and walked over to stand in front of Lucy. "Sorry, Luce. Didn't mean to almost hit you. I was going to make a three pointer from the gate separating the new neighbor's yard from ours but it was a complete air ball," he explained. Lucy sighed again and ruffled his hair. "It's okay. Just don't do it again kay? I'm going inside, I have to get something so quick," she said to him, heading to the front door. When she got to the door, her hand on the knob, Lucy suddenly turned to watch the boys play ball for a little bit. And then she took out her camera from her back left pocket and turned it on. She switched the mode to Action and brought it to eye level. In the screen she was looking at, she saw four boys in wife beaters running and passing a ball around without a pause on the driveway. Putting pressure on the small silver button on the top of the camera, a white flash came out and soon an image was showing on the screen. Timothy, the curly blonde haired boy had the ball and he had jumped off the ground to make a shot while the boys around him were blocking or trying to get the ball. It was a good photo. Lucy was getting so much better at her photography. Before, she wasn't able to get a shot like this. Now it just came natural. With a smile, Lucy turned off her camera and went inside.

The house had such a cheerful vibe. The second you stepped inside, you can't help but feel happy. A soft smile crept onto Lucy's face as she walked up the steps, staring at the photos on the walls. Most were of her creation. Instead of having her aunt and uncle get expensive artwork, she had told them to get nice frames and she would get the photos herself. They were just as beautiful. Her favorite was one of a sunflower, its face up towards the sun. She had taken it when the sun actually did shine on it. In the photo, you could see the rays. A proud smile appeared as she traced her finger over the sunflower. She could almost feel the warm heat of the sun. And then she moved on to her room. Anyone that knew Lucy would know immediately which one was her room. It was just plain obvious. After taking a long look at her decorated door, Lucy pushed it open and walked over to her closet. At first sight, her room would seem very closed space. But if one were to look closely at the pictures on her wall and hanging from the ceiling, the closed space feeling would go away. Photos from friends and family to scenery littered her walls. All of them ranged in different sizes and different shapes. Even her dresser had photos of her making sticking to their wood. Her closet door, which was a pair of large mirrors, also had a few photos sticking to the glass. But they were all on the corners since Lucy did need her mirrors to look at her reflection when she put on her outfit. Right now she stared at what she was wearing.

Her outfit consisted of things that were simple yet not at all that skimpy. She wore a pink tank top with Chinese designs. It covered her chest well so that when she bent over there would be no lumps revealed. Her bottoms were pink and limegreen plaid shorts with white and pink polka dot suspenders that she clicked onto her shorts and let them hang on her hips. For shoes, she wore white flats with limegreen polka dots on them. As for her accesories, Lucy had on a long white beaded necklace that she wrapped once over around her neck and then let the rest dangle. On her right arm were ten white circlets that dangled and jingled everytime she moved her arm. On her left ring finger was a white ring, just plain white. And lastly, she wore pink tulip earring studs. As one would notice, she's in a very light mood. Nodding in approval to her image, Lucy slid her closet door open and grabbed her pink and white plaid fedora and slipped it on her head, her side bangs falling in front of her face as she did so. Pushing her bangs away from her eyes, Lucy gave her look one more nod of approval then went out her door. As she walked down the steps, she did a pocket check. Cellphone? Check. iPod? Check. Matching camera? Check! she made one more nod of approval before heading out the door.

"Joseph! I'm heading over to Zack's house!" she shouted to her cousin as he took the ball and dunked it into the hoop. When he landed on the ground he had given her his okay and she was off. Walking on the sidewalk, Lucy turned to look at the house next door to hers. It had been on sale for quite a while. No one, no matter how beautiful the house was, thought that it was going to get sold. But all of a sudden, one few days ago, the For Sale sign was down and everything was all set up. It made Lucy very curious. She had many questions like if the new neighbors had moved in during the night. And if so how they were able to move everything in quietly. Taking in a deep breath, Lucy turned away from the house and walked into the walkway of her best friend's house. Zack was for sure home. Probably on his laptop or some sort. Probably doing something important. Which made her pause midstep up the first step to the porch. Looking up at the house, which looked a lot like hers besides the fact that they were different colors, Lucy wondered if it would be a good idea to talk to her best friend. It was possible that he was doing something important. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately. And she hated waiting on the porch for him. After fixing her fedora, Lucy sat on the top step of the porch and took out her phone. She decided to just text him.

Zack, I'm heading to the new neighbors to say hi. Text me back if you're gonna come over kay kay?
Talk to you later.
~Luce

After sending the message, Lucy got up off the porch and walked down the walkway and out the gate. She headed to her new neighbors' gate. They had been there for a few days already, yet no one has seen them. People have said that they had seen the parents coming out during the middle of the night. But there were some people that just couldn't be trusted with those kind of facts. Especially with the gossiping housewives. Opening the gate slowly, Lucy took cautious steps towards the front door. The house looked a lot like hers and Zack's, but the previous owners had remodeled the inside so there was a chance that some of the house was different on the outside too. When she was on the porch, which she noticed had new wood put in, Lucy turned to look up at the door and nervously knocked three times. She then placed her hands in her back pocket. But then she took out her camera and turned it on. The house had this whole other feeling to it. Something magical. And she had to take a few pictures. Bringing the camera up to eye level, she took a picture of the front lawn with the gate a little blurry. But then she stopped and turned off her camera. She wanted to see her new neighbors first before she started taking photo after photo. The old woman from across the street had told Lucy's aunt last night that she had seen the kids last night outside their porch. The exact words Lucy overheard were that they were absolutely beautiful. As is they were models. This made Lucy the more curious to see them. Maybe she could get some good pictures of them, as long as they let her.

We don't love to be loved;
we love to love.

It had been a day almost like any other. It was the third day in the new house and Jona was walking lazily around the house. It was early in the morning but too early for a kid his 'age' to be up. He wandered his way to his book shelf and pulled one of his favorite books down. 'Trois Contes' was a book his parents bought him when he was young and it was one of his prized possessions. He sat in the arm chair they purchased a few days ago and began to read his favorite of the three stories, 'Saint Julien l'hospitalier'. He read quickly and despite having read the book thousands of times he still loved reading the story. He quickly finished and set the book back on the shelf. I guess I should go change. Maybe I can go out today being that it's cloudy. he thought as he practiced his human walk. He was so much faster than the creatures that surrounded him all his life, but he needed to act like them. All the running he had done, to keep clear of the Volturi, made him aware that acting like humans was best for him and his sister. He wandered to his new room and fished through his closet pulling some clothes out. He removed the clothes he was wearing and put them in the 'donate' hamper. He slipped on a relaxed turtleneck, an expensive pair of jeans and his new leather shoes. He shot a quick glance in the mirror and fixed his hair noticing his eyes were growing darker. It had been over a week since he had last fed and the thirst was starting to bug him. He decided that tonight he would take his sister and they would go hunting.

He walked back downstairs, again practicing human speed, and went into the TV room. He flipped through the stations not staying on any specific one for an extended period of time. He decided that news would be somewhat entertaining. When ever a murder came on he listened for the tell tale signs a vampire was involved. Nothing today. He tossed the remote in his hand wondering if he should go out or not, It has been a while since I drove anywhere. he thought. He looked up at the clock 6:42, why must time take so long to pass? he thought tossing the remote higher and higher. Jona started to reminisce about all the places he had been. All over Europe, the U.S., a lot of Africa, Japan, Siberia and now back in London. It was dreary here but the small amount of sun was good in keeping his secret hidden. It rained a lot and when the sun was out he could just stay in, not like he needed to be anywhere. He pulled his 'G1' out of his pocket as he let the TV remote land between his leg and the cushion of the chair. He scrolled through his messages most from Lee. Even when he was in the house she liked to send him random messages to see if he was 'awake'.

As he sat playing with his phone he herd a heartbeat getting closer to the house. It got closer and closer till finally there was a knock at the door. Who the hell could that be? he thought as he rose from the chair. He walked to the door and opened it to see a small, somewhat attractive, strangely dressed girl. "Avec ce que peut vous aider?"** he said as he looked down at her. If he wasn't thirsty her scent wouldn't have had such a profound effect on him, but he was thirsty and she smelled good. He stood there stunned into immobility looking at her, his eyes black as pitch. She had started speaking when he turned and closed the door. He stood there for a moment trying to compose himself, and when he did he opened the door again. "Est-ce que je désolé, mais il y a est quelque chose que vous avez besoin?"*** he said his tone rude at that point.

-the worst thing you could do your enemies is to forgive them-

Oh s**t. Zachary thought as he woke up to a loud thud. Mum. He quickly opened his bedroom door and gallopped down the stairs three at a time. "Mum! You've been drinking, haven't you?" He groaned as he smelt the stinky smell of vomit. Holding his breath, he ventured forward until he saw his mum, unconcious in a pile of vomit. Shaking his head sadly, he carried his mother up and towards her room. And I thought you told me you don't drink already. He thought dejectedly as he struggled with the doorknob while carrying his mother. He opened the door successfully-- he had lots of practise at it already and carried his unconcious mother onto the bed. She smelt of vomit, but he didn't change for her-- it was too embarrassing for him. Seeing his mother in a drunkened state is already very bad, but change for her? It was something he couldn't do. He quickly got a rag and cleaned up the goo in the living room. Yuck. He thought as he finished the clean-job and threw the rag away. He went up to his room and stripped off his clothes before stepping into the shower. He changed into a fresh set of clothes and started making his bed. Then, he settled down in front of his laptop as he heard the guys from next door dribbling. Joseph must be up already. I wonder if Luce is up or not. He picked up his cell phone, planning to call her, but decided against it. Aww, come on. It's only six-thirty at the most. Do you think she'll actually be up? Shaking his head, he checked his email. All he received was just some junk and he deleted everything. I'm bored. He thought, yawning.

"Zachary!" He heard his mother call. "I'm coming!" He shouted back. He quickly walk out of his room and into his mother's room. "Zack, I've a very bad headache. Can you please be a darling and get me some aspirin?" Zachary nodded woodenly as he left her room and went to the kitchen. He got the aspirin and a cup of water and went up the stairs. "Mum. Your aspirin." She smiled gratefully and took the medicine. "Thank you. I'll... umm... change before going to the hospital." Zachary nodded again, plastering a smile on his face. He left her room again and went back to his own room. So mum's going to the hospital. She must have a hangover, I wonder how she'll actually manage to work? He thought wryly as his phone buzzed. He quickly opened up the message.

Zack, I'm heading to the new neighbors to say hi. Text me back if you're gonna come over kay kay?
Talk to you later.
~Luce

What new neighbors? He thought, confused before he remembered what his father told him. "There is a family moving here, they want everything done as fast as possible and they don't even mind paying me more to have everything settled for them. I think I got a $10 000 bonus from that family." Zachary smiled at that memory. So, a rich new neighbor? He thought. I wonder if they have any children... He couldn't remember if his father mentioned if there was any youths in the family. Oh well, I'd just have to go and see right? Having decided that he's going over to the neighbors house, he texted Lucy.

Luce, I'm going over too. Where are you now?
-Zack.

After he texted her, he slipped his cell phone into his jeans' pocket. He bustled around the kitchen, preparing some breakfast for himself. This is so troublesome. Forget it. He grabbed a packet of potato chips and started eating straight from the pack. What the hell do I have to bring over to their house? Food? Oh, there's the chocolate cake that dad bought yesterday. He went to the refrigerator and took out the cake-box. He took out his cell phone and called his father's office. "Miss SueAnn, this is Zachary. I need to look for my dad." In a moment, he was put through. "Hey dad. Can I give the chocolate cake you bought yesterday to the new neighbors? Luce and I are going over to find them." He grabbed some potato chips and crammed them inside his mouth. "Sure, Zack. Oh and make sure your mum have some food before she leaves home. She's bound to drink after she leaves the hospital. If she eats, she may not be as drunk and she can make her way home by herself. Besides, I don't have time to fetch her today, I have meetings all the way until nine. Oh and make sure you don't offend the neighbors with that mouth of yours. They're rich and they're not from around here." His body shaking with laughter, he replied, "You're so materialistic, dad. And I won't offend them, I promise. As for mum, I'm not so sure about that. I'm heading out already and she's still in her room." "Just make her some toast and leave it on the table. So I'll see you later, son. Bye." Zachary's father disconnected. Sighing, Zachary started spreading some butter on the bread and poured out a cup of her mother's favourite orange juice. He then went up to get his laptop. He knocked on his mother's door, "Mum, breakfast is on the table, remember to eat it. I'm going over to the new neighbors'. Don't drink, okay? I'll see you later." He rushed down the stairs and out of the front doors. Carrying his laptop in one hand and the cake-box in the other hand, he walked awkwardly. He could see Lucy in front of the neighbors' house. "Hey, Luce! Can you come help me?" He shouted over.

“You are beautiful, but you are empty,”...

User Image

Amélie stood in the small hallway leading to the door, arranging a large crystal bowl of white and yellow roses. The house still felt so dark, especially with her brother so insistent that the curtains at the front of the house stay closed. The dark, ugly, tarnished woods in the house had been replaced with blond woods, and the dirty, dated carpets had been removed. In their stead hand woven, brightly colored Egyptian rugs had been placed. The kitchen had actually required a fight on Amélie's part.

We don't eat, why do we need to renovate the kitchen?

Amélie insisted that she loved to cook, and she wanted a kitchen in which to do so. It was true, although instances of her actually cooking were somewhat rare. Besides, how tacky of us! We renovated this entire house, top to bottom, and we don't fix up the kitchen? It puts our cover into question. It's a safety issue!

It was difficult to see the potential in a brick town house that had a gate, a porch, and a back "yard" just large enough to plant a minute garden that would get half the sunshine it deserved.

As Jona answered the door, Amélie giggled to herself. This poor little girl had no idea that she was about the be torn to pieces by a rude frenchman who would probably add injury to insult by eating her after he had finished berating her. She smelled wonderful. Amélie's brother asked again if there was something the girl needed. He didn't care, of course, which she could tell because he was speaking french. Their english was perfect, as it ought to have been after knowing how to speak it for nearly one hundred and sixty years.

After dusting the pollen off of her hands and onto her dark, designer jeans, she straightened the hem of her simple black t-shirt and turned towards Jona, holding her laughter with all her might.

"Accueillons-nous une partie?"* There were occasions when Jonathan became so wrapped up in being rude that he forgot his surroundings completely. The footsteps of the second visitor were coming quickly, and they were in distress. George and Marjorie, their "parents", would have been disappointed in this behavior if they had been home. They were going away on business, they'd said, but the bit of static in their tones as they spoke told Amélie there was more to it. They needed a holiday, and they needed to hunt. Why weren't we being more vigilant, or more polite to our neighbors. They would say this in spite of the fact that they were calling on us as 6:45 in the morning without any indication that we were awake or prepared for visitors.

She inhaled deeply, bending over the flowers, but more in an effort to survey what was coming. Then she said, so quietly only her brother could hear it, "Ah! Le petit garçon a un gâteau de chocolat! J'ai su que nous avions une fête!"**

“One could not die for you."

So many things happened all at once as Lucy stood there, waiting for the door to open. One was that her phone had buzzed with a really late response from Zack. For some odd reason text messages to her from Zack always came late. Maybe it was because she was so close to his house that for some reason text messages didn't want to send so soon. Taking her phone out of her front left pocket, Lucy scrolled down her inbox to her new message and opened it. She was going to respond back when a voice called out to her from the gate. Looking up, there was her best friend, Zack. She shook her head in disbelief. Even if he was going somewhere that didn't involve his laptop, the guy still brought that damn thing everywhere. Letting out a sigh, Lucy turned her body towards the gate and was about to take a step down when all of a sudden the door opened. Lucy paused midstep and turned to look at the person standing at the door. Her eyes widened to the size of ping pong balls.

The guy that had answered the door could not be any older than eighteen, and yet, he had this sort of persona that made him seem older. But that was not the first that came into her mind as she stared at her new neighbor. It was the fact that he was just so...beautiful. He must be a model! I need to take a--Zack! Just as her left hand was raising up so that she could grab her camera, which was hanging from her wrist, Lucy remembered that her best friend had asked for help. When the guy closed the door, only to open it again seconds later and have a more harsher voice than before, Lucy had put up her index finger. Of course she understood a little of what he was saying. She had studied French when she was starting high school. But, "I'm sorry. But I failed French first year high school. I'm more of a Spanish language person. Can you hold that thought for a minute?" With a soft giggle, Lucy started down the steps. She ran towards her best friend, the sound of her bracelets filling her ears. She held onto her camera so that it didn't slide down her wrist. When she went over to Zack, she opened the gate and took hold of the pastry box. "You're odd you know that right? Why did you bring your laptop?" she asked, an amused smile on her face. Lucy paused for a minute, turning back to the open door. There was a girl standing beside the guy now. With her 20/20 vision, Lucy was able to see that they were twins. "My god they're beautiful," she breathed out, but her eyes were mostly on the male. His looks caught her attention and kept them there. Even though his personality was a little, bitter, his looks made up for his a*****e persona. A few blinks later, Lucy shook her head and started up the walkway to the house again.

Lucy got her camera prepared before going up the steps. Going back onto the porch, Lucy smiled warmly. "Hi! I'm Lucy Sullivan. I live next door, um with the boys playing basketball as if there's no tomorrow. I know it's a little early but I just wanted to come and say welcome," she said with as much confidence as she could muster without getting the urge to just pick up her camera from around her wrist and take a picture of the two. She gave them another smile and then handed over the pastry box, she could totally smell chocolate cake inside. "This is from your other neighbor, this guy right here." She pointed at Zack before hitting him lightly on the arm. "This is Zachary Turner. He--" "LUCY!" came a voice. Lucy turned to see her cousin, shirtless and with a phone in his hand. When Joseph had seen that she was looking at him with all her attention, he yelled, "It's mom! She said that they're coming!" Her blue eyes widened, and then she groaned. Great! she thought then turned to look at the twins. "I'm sorry but I have to go. Um...yeah. Bye. Welcome again!" she said quickly then looked Zack. "I'll call you later," she whispered then hopped off the porch and ran down the walkway. When she got to the gate however, Lucy stopped and turned back. She took hold of her camera and pointed it at the house, zooming to the people at the door. She pressed the button on the top and then turned the camera off when it saved. As she stuck the camera in her back pocket, Lucy ran to her own house, cutting through the grass and into the house. "Thanks, Jojo," she breathed, going up the stairs two at a time.

Anger was one emotion that Lucy ever used. She was more of a person that was into smiling. Which was why she got into photography. But there was one thing that can always piss her off. It was her biological parents. Slamming her door open, Lucy stormed her messy room for her car keys. She found them under a pile of freshly developed pictures and then bolted out of her room, her door slamming shut with a loud bang. Running down the stairs, Joseph was there waiting for her, the house phone still in his hand. "How long did Auntie say they were going to take till they arrived?" she asked her cousin, running into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water and her wallet. Joseph was following behind her the whole time. "I don't know. But from what she told me, they'll probably be here in about ten to fifteen minutes," he explained, grabbing her jacket in the living room. She took it then went into the garage. She pushed the button on the wall, watching the garage door slide open. As she put on her jacket, Lucy unalarmed her car then went inside. "Joseph! If my parents ask me where I am, you don't know anything. I'm going to the park. Call me when they're gone. And tell Auntie and Uncle," she informed him, backing the car out of the garage carefully. The boys stood on the lawn, watching her drive off quickly out of the neighborhood.

When she was a few streets away, close to the local park, Lucy pulled over to the side and then took out her phone. She started typing text messages like her life depended on it. The first was to her cousin. But he had already texted her before she could even press send.

They're here. Better stay clear for a few hours. They look like they want to stay.
- Jojo

Lucy let out a sigh and decided not to text back. So she deleted all she typed out and started texting Zack. This was just in case her parents decided to talk to him or something like that.

~Luce

After she sent the message, Lucy put her car on Drive and started off towards the park. She was there in a few minutes. Parking her car near the basketball courts, Lucy pulled out her key and then leaned back to get her backpack. She had kept that backpack inside her car last night because she had a feeling she would need it in there. Her prediction was right. As she stepped out of the car, Lucy shouldered one of the straps of her backpack and then alarmed her car. A few of the guys in the courts said hi to her. The only reason why she knew them was because of Zack and Joseph. She smiled and waved to all of them but didn't say anything. In a couple minutes, she was at the grass area a few meters away from the baseball diamond. Lucy took off her jacket and placed it on the grass, then she sat on her jacket. She then unzipped the big pocket of her backpack and took out her own laptop. While waiting for it to turn on, Lucy rummaged through the small pocket for her camera's USB adaptor. She had at least five in there, so finding the right one took a while. But when she did, Lucy slipped out her camera and plugged the USB ends to the camera and the laptop. There wasn't much on her laptop, just Photoshop, a few Instant Messaging programs and her iTunes. The first thing she did was upload the photos she had taken today into her computer. Once that was done, Lucy unplugged her camera from her laptop and then opened Photoshop as wel as her Internet.

While she waited for Photoshop to load, Lucy found herself staring at the last photo she took. It was the one of the twins. They were so beautiful. And she couldn't help but feel that there was something magical about them. After staring at the twins for a second more, Lucy uploaded that photo onto her Photoshop and started editing it to look more prettier. Before she did that, Lucy slipped out her cellphone, placing it to the side of her, and then her iPod. She slipped on the earbuds and played a random song. So while she listened to her music, she edited the photo. Later when she was able to go home, when those people were gone, she would print out the edited photo and give it to them. Zack, you better come.

Much to Jona’s dismay there would soon be two humans at his door. He sister was soon at his side saying something about a party and cake. Jona wasn’t paying attention he was still caught up with the girl in front of him. She was a peculiar one "I'm sorry. But I failed French first year high school. I'm more of a Spanish language person. Can you hold that thought for a minute?" she said with a finger raised. Did she just shush me? Who the hell does she think she is? Jona thought as he watched the girl run over to the boy juggling a cake box and a crappy laptop. This girl helped him with the gate, saying something Jona wasn’t interested in, and turned to look him again. "My god they're beautiful," she said thinking he wasn’t able to hear. She store at him for what seemed like an eternity then shook her head and walked towards them. The last thing Jona needed was more fan girls but he sensed something different about this girl but he couldn’t figure it out, so he ignored it. She was standing in front of him again with a big smile on her face and she spoke ”Hi! I'm Lucy Sullivan. I live next door, um with the boys playing basketball as if there's no tomorrow. I know it's a little early but I just wanted to come and say welcome." Before Jona or Lee could say anything she spoke again. "This is from your other neighbor, this guy right here. This is Zachary Turner. He--" but she was interrupted by some shitless boy in the driveway next door saying something about ‘they are coming’. The girls eyes widened "I'm sorry but I have to go. Um...yeah. Bye. Welcome again!" she said as she ran off. Jona was confused but happy that the amount of humans on his doorstep was halved. When she got to the gate she spun around and snapped a photo of Jona and Lee. This threw Jona into a rage ”Qui la pense-t-elle est-elle?”** he said low and grumbled as he turned from the door. As he walked away he caught that she was leaving in her car and Jona decided to confront her.

Jona walked out to the garage and got into his car turning it on and pulling out behind her. He turned his stereo on and randomly chose a song, "Inner Universe" by Origa was what popped up. The song was soothing and fast so it made Jona relax a bit which was good for what he was going to do. He followed a few cars behind her and watched as she parked and walked into the park. He drove around for a bit watching where she went. When she finally sat he parked his car and walked towards her. Rage and thirst made his head swim but he composed himself before he spoke. His walk was silent so it was no surprise she didn’t hear him coming. He was about to speak when her scent hit him again and he staggered back. Damn, why do I have to be so thirsty? And where the hell does she get off smelling so good?” He took a deep breath and let her scent burn him. When he was used to it he closed the last few feet between them. ”So is it the norm now in London to go to a neighbors house at dawn, insult them, take a candid picture of them and run off?” he did his best to keep his tone even it would do him no good to scare the girl. He noticed that she had the photo of him and his sister on her computer. He kept his posture and waited for her to turn

Translation:

Amélie shook her head and laughed lightly. Of course, now her throat was left with that dry, terrible burn, but who could complain when their new neighborhood was so clearly full of entertainment. Dinner theater, she teased herself. She looked at the boy in the doorway and smiled sweetly.

"Thank you for the lovely cake, Amélie said to him. "Tell me, is your friend always so... odd? It was not very polite of her to just knock on our door and snap a photo like that."

She chose not to wait for a reply from the boy, who seemed likely thunderstruck by the rapidity of the situation. Instead she turned toward the kitchen and ran water into a clear glass pitcher, adding slices of lemons, limes, and oranges she had frozen along with a few cubes of ice. Her brother had laughed at her for it, "You got your kitchen and you're freezing citrus fruit with it." But Amélie didn't care. It was hospitable to have drinks ready for guests, and who could say if anyone would stop by in a neighborhood of families like this.

Amélie scanned through the beautiful stereo system that they'd had installed and chose an anthology of swing music that seemed suitably upbeat for company. She loved music, but found that after a few decades it was difficult to attach to much pop music. The door had been left open but she didn't hear anything but the boy's breathing. No footsteps. He hadn't followed her into the kitchen, or even taken a step further into the house. She considered very seriously the supply of calf's blood in the refrigerator. She would be able to take a few very serious gulps from the container if he continued not to move, but she was hesitant. Their family were not typically discriminant about what they hunted, but she often felt torn. Some humans were actually quite enjoyable, they were funny, and futile, and often very sweet. This boy had brought them a cake, for heaven's sake! She decided to take a rapid sip from the innocuous jug that the butcher had sold to them. It quelled the thirst a little, though not at all completely. The boy had still not moved, so she took another deep sip, put the jug away, and made a quick check of her appearance.

Amélie cleared her throat for the boy's, Zachary it was, benefit. "Won't you come in? I'm sorry, we haven't much, but I can get you a nice glass of water and... if that cake is for us? Well, it's quite early in the morning for me, but I would be glad to cut a slice for you."

-the worst thing you could do your enemies is to forgive them-

Rolling his eyes a bit as he handed the cake-box over to Lucy, Zachary almost dropped his laptop. What the ********> He thought angrily at the close shave. Smiling a little for the sake of his rich neighbors, he stepped up when Lucy introduced him. "Lucy!" Joseph called to her. "It's mom! She said that they're coming!" He shouted, again. Oh, crap. Her parents. Zachary thought, but before he could respond, Lucy already muttered something and was running back home. "Lucy!" He yelled to her. "Be careful!" He cautioned. He turned back to the... neighbors. "Hello, as you already know, I'm Zachary Turner. People call me Zack. Nice to meet you." He offered a big smile. He was already feeling bored with his neighbors, which was... twins. Wow. You don't often see twins around here. Stifling a yawn, he studied them closer. They sure are beautiful... "Are you go--" He started to say but stopped when something else diverted his attention. Lucy's car. Seeing her speed off into the distance, he breathe a sigh of relief. At least her parents would not take her away... He then saw another car zoom pass. It wasn't going really fast-- he caught a glimpse of the driver. The twin? How the hell did he run so fast? He thought idly before turning back to face the girl. She is stunning, Zachary admitted to himself.

When she smiled at him, Zachary could feel himself freeze-up in shock. A beautiful girl and she's smiling at me. He thought. Wow. Shaking himself out of his reverie, he concentrated on what the girl was saying to him. "Thank you for the lovely cake. Tell me, is your friend always so... odd? It was not very polite of her to just knock on our door and snap a photo like that." "I... she did? She's not weird, or odd, or whatever you say." Zachary replied, his voice cold. He couldn't stand people talking bad about Lucy. "And that's what she does, she shoots people. If you don't like it, then I think it better if you just avoid her or her camera." He continued. He paused at the front door. "Won't you come in? I'm sorry, we haven't much, but I can get you a nice glass of water and... if that cake is for us? Well, it's quite early in the morning for me, but I would be glad to cut a slice for you." The girl told him. He walked into the house. Wow. Nice. Was his first thought when he entered the beautiful living room. "I-- Well, okay." He just couldn't resist chocolate. He gave her a weak smile when his cell phone buzzed. It's display said it was from home. "Hello?" "Zack, son, Lucy's parents are looking for her; they just called by at our house..." "Mum? Did you tell them anything?" "Of course not. I told them I don't know anything. I'm going to the hospital now, thanks for the breakfast." Zachary released the breath he was holding. "O-kay. I'll see you later. Remember don't drink!" He warned, sternly. "Sometimes, I really feel you're just like your Grandpa. But I know, I won't go drinking okay? I'll go straight home after my shift. Bye." His mom disconnected. He looked out of the open front door and could see his mother's red Toyota go past. He turned back to the girl. "So, what's your name? I'm called Zack, since you obviously know, but I don't know your name yet." He stood awkwardly in the hall, near the front door.

His cell phone buzzed again. This time it was a text message from Lucy.
Zack. If you see my parents and they come talk to you, don't tell them where I'm at. I'm going to our spot. Meet me in twenty kay? Don't reply back.

The park. He glanced at his watch. Maybe I should just go first? He thought. "Umm... I still don't know what you're called... but I've gotta go. I'll be back later, remember to save a slice of chocolate cake for me." He headed out of the front door and turned back. "I was just joking. So I'll see you around." He gave a slight wave before running home. Reaching home, he put his laptop down onto an armchair before going to the kitchen to raid the cupboards for his favourite pack of potato chips-- which was coincidentally organic, so that Lucy could eat it too. He went up to his room to fetch his bag, a scruffy converse sling bag that his father gave him when he was twelve. Somethings are always in fashion, besides, I've never cared about being fashionable. He went downstairs and he threw in the packet of potato chips before carefully putting in his laptop. Slinging it across his chest, he went to the garage to fetch his car. He drove out of the garage and onto the street, heading for the direction of the park.

Trey Songz's "Can't Help But Wait" blasted into Lucy's ears as she continued to edit the last photo she took in her camera, which was of her new neighbors. The funny thing was, she could not find one thing to edit with the twins' faces. They were just too...perfect. All she could do with the picture was add in the border she wanted and then fix the words the way she wanted them to come out. The word was only a simple "Welcome" since it was the only thing she could think of. For some reason, Lucy felt like she didn't really give a good impression on the neighbors. Mostly with the male who seemed so disinterested in anything that involved the neighborhood. This thought caused her to sigh slightly, moving the mouse over towards the sharpen button. But then she paused and kept looking at the photo. She was on her stomach now, feeling really uncomfortable when she was sitting crossed legged with her hot Macbook on her lap. And since the grass was pretty dry now, she decided to lie on her stomach and keep her laptop on her jacket. Her fedora was sitting beside her laptop, upside down so that she could put her camera and her phone inside. It was cloudy outside so she had no worries of revealing her electronics to the sky. Her long, layered hair was pushed over her shoulder, her side bangs pinned out of her face. She hated it when her bangs fell in front of her face when she was editing a photo. It was like she was being blinded of inspiration when that happened. Lucy rested her chin on the palm of her right hand, her light blue eyes staring at the picture for something, anything that she could do to make it any more nicer so that she could give it to them as a welcome present. But there was just nothing that she could do. It was already perfect. So she propped herself back up onto her elbows and saved the edited photo.

She was fishing through her backpack, pushing and taking out numerous USB adaptor cords to find her little flashdrive. But because she carried so much stuff in her backpack, she couldn't find it anywhere. That was when she remembered, it was clipped to her keys. Laughing lightly, Lucy sat up and was about to dig into her pocket when she heard a voice to the side of her. Lucy pulled out the white earbuds from her ears and looked up towards the person that was probably talking to her. Her heart skipped a beat when she confirmed that it was the person she thought it was. So he does speak english. And so perfectly. Goodness, I'm so American. I can only speak one language well. she thought as she continued to look up at her new neighbor without a word out of her mouth. It was embarrassing. She was staring and she could not stop herself, at all. But a few blinks later, Lucy turned away and blushed a very bright red. As she stared at the picture in her computer, Lucy said, "I'm sorry about that. I wanted to ask if I could take a photo of you but I was in a hurry." After staring at the photo, Lucy let out another sigh and turned to look up at him.

"I'm sorry, but I have to ask. I probably don't deserve to know it after my little hit and run, but may I ask for your name?" she asked, getting up onto her feet. She was bare foot, her flats lying beside her jacket. She stood in front of him, wiping grass off her front and then her legs. Fixing her suspenders, Lucy stood up straight and looked up at him, straight in the eyes. There was something magical about him. But she could not put a finger on it. It was the way he stood? No. The way he acted? Definitely not. But there was something. It was in the way his skinned looked with the soft light. There wasn't really a sun, but the little bit of light there was gave off this magical bit to him. It was beautiful. And something that she wanted to take a picture of. Maybe I should ask him before I think about taking the pic. But then, he might say no. And I feel like I won't ever see this beauty again. She let out a sigh, her eyes turning down to her bare feet. She felt even more embarrassed. I'll take it. I'll take the risk...I think. she finally concluded then looked up. Maybe she could get him softened up a bit. Hopefully he was good at reading the words in a photo.

She turned to look down at her Macbook. Then after looking up at him, she squatted down and picked it up. "Let me ask you. When you look at it this picture that I took, what do you feel? I know you're mad that I took it, but just push those feelings out and take a look at this. Please?" she said, revealing the picture to him. She held it out to him, handing him the laptop before squatting back down and rummaging through her backpack. She took out her second favorite camera. It wasn't exactly the best of the best, but it was the cheapest she could get with her own money. This camera was a Nikon - 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera. It was the more expensive camera than the others she owned. "Um, can I just--?" Turning her camera on, she adjusted the lens then pressed the button. Once the photo saved, Lucy pressed teh Review button and looked down at the photo. She could stop staring. It was absolutely beautiful. He was absolutely beautiful. It was almost breath taking what she was looking at. Here was a regular guy, looking at a picture on her Macbook, and yet the light that came down on him made him seem so beautiful. His skin almost glistened beautifully. "You're so beautiful," she whispered, looking up at him, the camera shaking in her hands. And again, her eyes could not and would not leave him.

Jona stood there as the girl removed her head phones and turned to him. The more he looked at her the more relaxed he became. And this made him a little uncomfortable. As she spoke her voice relaxed him even more "I'm sorry about that. I wanted to ask if I could take a photo of you but I was in a hurry." she said sighing and looking at him. Jona looked at her and smirked as she spoke again. "I'm sorry, but I have to ask. I probably don't deserve to know it after my little hit and run, but may I ask for your name?" He all out smiled at her as she spoke and he responded ”My name is Jonathan, but most call me Jona. It is nice to make your acquaintance Lucy.” He tried to make his voice sound as even and relaxed as he could but the way she was making him feel kept snapping him back. She fumbled in front of him for a moment then locked eyes with him. It felt like a bolt of lightening hit him. She looked at him with an expression on her face like there was something she wanted to ask, but her eyes locked to his made Jona dizzy. This was a whole new feeling for him and he didn’t know what it was. He wanted nothing more than to snap out of it and confront as he had planned. But nothing, not even his immense strength, could move his jaw. Finally she looked away and his head stopped spinning long enough for him to rearrange his thoughts. She turned from him slightly and lifted her laptop handing it to him. "Let me ask you. When you look at it this picture that I took, what do you feel? I know you're mad that I took it, but just push those feelings out and take a look at this. Please?" she said as if her mind was elsewhere. At first all Jona saw was two vampires and a human. Then he started comparing him and his sister to the human boy. He looked weak and frail compared to them, but he also looked so full of life. Then the girl spoke again "Um, can I just--?" she said followed by a slight click. She mumbled something but Jona’s intincts kicked in.

Everything happened so quickly it even scared Jona. His hand fired out, grasping the camera, and crushing it in his hand. The red had washed over him and he was furious. ”Qui la baise vous pensent vous êtes? Vous êtes chanceux je ne vous tuez pas où vous vous tenez.”** he yelled as bits of crumpled camera falling to the ground. He closed her laptop and shoved it at her and he turned to leave. It was so difficult for him to walk at human pace when he was so mad, but he might have given away more then he wanted. He got back to his car and drove off. He sped through the streets his mind clouded by his rage. He took corner after corner at break neck speeds. When he calmed down he realized I like her? How could I like her? Why do I like her? He stopped on the corner of the road and got out of his car. He looked to see of anyone was watching and he ran into the woods. He wasn’t far in when he caught the scent of a deer. He followed the trail till he came to the it and he pounced. The deer was an easy kill but hardly ‘tasty’, he still drank it dry. With his thirst satiated for the time being he walked back to his car and began his trip back home.

**Who the f**k do you think you are? You’re lucky I don’t kill you where you stand.

Amélie had now been interrupted and abandoned by both of her new neighbors in the matter of five minutes. Moreover her brother had vanished as well. She presumed he'd gone off to eat the girl, or at the very least let her know that she probably should have asked permission to take people's photographs. It was presumable that the awkward boy, Zach, was off to see Lucy. At least that was the gist of things from what she could see in his eye's reflection. The boy had mentioned he would be back, but then said he was only joking. She was so confused by the manners of these young people that she didn't know if she ought to be amused or offended. Is this how she was meant to behave now? The idea repulsed her slightly. Not because they were bad people, not at all. On the contrary, they seemed to be quite friendly and eager to make a good impression. Amélie was used to so much more formality, especially as far as people of that age were concerned. She feared that perhaps she'd spent too much time in circles that were lacking in human representation.

Was this what they were all like? She decided that instead of sitting about and questioning the etiquette lessons of the late 20th and early 21st century, she would discuss it with her brother instead. He was probably reading. Amélie laughed to herself. It had become a competition between Jona and herself who could read the most. He'd had her beaten for quite a while but she'd recently discovered the "Young Adult" area of local book shops. These books were a fast read but didn't make her feel quite so much like she was intruding on the very private affairs of others. It was similar to the novellas that she would read as a teenager... the first time. She now had a slim lead on her brother that was only broadening with every tiny, frivolous paperback.

With a heavy sigh, and a deep breath, she attempted to figure out what might have become of her brother and her odd neighbors. She closed and locked the door behind her, and then she breathed again, deeply, noting the scents through the air of their previous guests. It was a scent that made her throat burn. They smelled... delicious. Amélie continued to follow the girl's scent, which was more prominent somehow. She wondered if the girl was afraid of something, or perhaps if her visit to them had the effect it so often did on humans. It was important that she walk slowly and evenly, like them. It wasn't that Amélie was hunting, but she'd often been fascinated by trackers. It was a talent worth practicing. And without fail, her slow pace took her directly to a nearby park. Why would they have driven to a place so close? She walked calmly over to the tree under which Lucy was sitting, and looking very distressed with a camera in pieces in her hands.

"Well, clearly there is a very interesting story, that I am guessing has far too much to do with my brother."

-the worst thing you could do your enemies is to forgive them-

Zachary drove with one hand as he booted up his laptop. He could multi-task well, he had been doing that for a very long time. As his desktop came onto screen, he left it on the passenger seat and concentrated on driving. He opened the top of his convertible to the cold breeze. Soon, he reached the park. He quickly parked his car in one of the empty parking sapce. Turning to the backseat, he found a suitable laptop bag for today-- he had a total of 107 laptop bags, all different. The laptop bag was bright green and it was also attached with a photograph of him in the front-- it was taken by Lucy. He slung his bag onto his shoulder before carrying his opened laptop and came out of his car. He left the top opened and didn't bother to lock his car. Let people steal it if they want, He thought dismissively. I've been eyeing a Mercedes AMG for a long time.

He walked slowly, his attention on the screen in front of him. He logged into Instant Messaging and found Lucy online. She must be using her laptop... He mused as he quickly send her a message.
Zack: Lucy! Your parents just went over to my home. They talked to my mum.
With that, he diverted his attention and saw one of the twin walking... more like stalking away, scowling. So, he came to the park too. Oh, well. It's none of my business to what he does. He shrugged and walked on. Finally, he reached the baseball diamond, and he could see a two figures, one Lucy and the other... the other twin, sitting on the grass not far from the diamond. He gave a wave at Lucy and quickened his pace.

As he reached the grass patch, he saw Lucy, unmoving. "Luce?" He asked, tentatively shaking her a bit as he sanked down onto his knees on the grassy floor, not paying attention to where he was going "to land"-- and he landed right on the remains of something. He jumped up, cursing. "Which stark raving mad person put this... all this pieces--" He cut short his sentance as he got a better look at what it was. "How the hell did that get here? Glass?" He hissed as he saw what Lucy had in her hands. It looked ridiculously like some sort of camera. "Excuse me, Miss, urgh, Chevalier?" He suddenly remembered that his father had told him that the family came from France.. and he told him their last name. "... I called him Mr Chevalier..." Was what his father told him. "But what the hell are you doing here? How did you get here faster than me? Why aren't you with your twin brother? And most importantly, what. Did. You. Do. To. Luce?" He turned to the twin beside his best friend and stated questioning her, frowning.

Blue eyes widened, her mind shouting for her to stop him. But Lucy's body stood motionless as Jona crushed her camera with his bare hand. His hand! If it weren't for the fact that she was shocked beyond compare right now, Lucy would have thought that what she was seeing was odd. A regular guy, that didn't look like a heavy lifter at all, had destroyed six-hundred dollars in less than a second. Six-hundred dollars of her hardworking money. Lucy didn't know how to react. Her mind was focused on watching as the pieces of her pride and joy crumpled down to the ground. Not even the words Jona was saying were making any sense to her. All she heard were sounds that didn't sound like any language she would recognize. As he spoke, yelling at her in such a tone, Lucy looked up at her, her eyes burning from the tears that wanted to fall but caught themselves. She was so mad at him. So furious. She felt so much hate for him. Her eyes turned down from him as he turned and walked away. From this moment on, she had no idea who he was or that he was her neighbor. Never in her entire life will she ever set foot on their property. It was probably what he wanted from the very beginning anyway.

Collapsing to the ground, Lucy picked up the pieces to her pride and joy. Even the memory card was destroyed into little bits. All her hard work, gone in mere seconds. All her good work was in that memory card. The work that she was going to use in her portfolio for when she applied into the college she wanted to do to in Spain next school year. It was all gone. She had been planning to develop them when she went to work that day, but what could she develop now? All she worked for was gone. Lucy held her broken camera in her hands as if her life depended on it. As if it was a loved one gasping for breath before death. Tears fell her face and she was so preoccupied with the fact that her camera, her favorite one, was destroyed into little pieces. Her body remained lifeless, still as her eyes looked down at the broken device in her small hands. I can't believe it. I only took one picture. I even asked before taking it. So he would know. Unlike last time. But what did that jerk do? He crushed my life. she screamed in her head, rage drowning her completely. She saw red in her eyes, even the tears that ran down her cheeks looked as if it was more like blood because she was seeing red. And then a voice came into her angered thoughts. A voice she did not want to hear. For it only made her even more furious.

The other twin was standing over her, saying such words that pierced through Lucy's heart. And in that moment, the Macbook that fell on the floor in Lucy's bewilderment gave off a soft bing, indicating that she had a new Instant Message. But she could care less about her stupid laptop, or her other devices. As far as her life was concerned, her Blackberry, her iPod Tough, her Macbook, they could all be crumbled into shreds. They meant nothing to her. They were material things that anyone could obtain. But what no one take from her, was her passion. And to her, her camera was like her life. Destroy it and it was like ripping out one of her organs. Staring down at the broken black pieces, Lucy could feel a painful pressure on her chest, as if someone had taken hold of her heart and was now squeezing it with so much strength. And then another voice came into her mind, relaxing her from her rage. It was her best friend. When he had said that one word, her nickname that she was so use to him using, Lucy finally looked up at him, just in time to see him land on a piece of what use to be part of her life. Her heart gave a short shock through her body, making her grimace and wince.

Her eyes remained on him as he spoke to the female twin, asking her questions like how she got here before he did and what he had done to her. When she thought of the question in her head, Lucy felt her rage again. Angry, hot tears ran down her cheeks. She dropped the pieces of her camera and stood up, glaring coldly at the female twin in front of her. "You're damn right that ******** brother of yours did this! He did all of this!" she cried out, her voice coming out as a hiss. Anyone that knew Lucy knew that cursing was something she hated doing. And to see her do so, must mean that whatever someone did must have "pushed her buttons." Her nose flared, glaring at the female. She knew that she should not take her anger on this girl, but she just couldn't help it. She looked like Jona, and anyone that had some relation to that guy was someone that would make Lucy be reminded of what he had done. Pointing her index finger at the girl, Lucy backed away to her things. "You, and your psychotic, french speaking, anger management needing brother stay the ******** away from me! Especially if your twin is going to snap like that!" She pointed to the remnants of her camera lying on the grass. "He's crazy! He crushed my camera into pieces with his bare hand! HAND!" she cried out, tears still rolling her eyes as she grabbed her backpack, tossing her Mackbook and her other things into the big pocket before zipping it closed. Turning to look at Zack, Lucy didn't even smile. "I'm sorry for making you come out here. But I just can't be here anymore," she whispered to him then then ran off, her flats in her hands. Many eyes watched her, but she didn't care. She wiped her tears before going into her car, slamming the door shut and throwing her backpack into the backseat.

It was when she was in her car, putting the keys in that she went over to grab her cellphone and texted Zack.

I'm going home. Call or text anytime. Sorry again. And, um, can you tell the sister I said I'm sorry for reacting the way I did? I didn't mean to take it out on her.
~Luce

After sending the text, Lucy backed out of the parking lot and drove to her house. The travel was such a blur to her, that when she blinked and woke herself up from the little daze she was in, she found herself parked in front of her house. There was a van in front of her. A familiar van. And just as she got out of her car, grabbing her backpack, the front door of her house opened and out came a beautiful couple. They were a little skinny, but they would clearly pass as her parents because of how they looked. But to Lucy, they were not her parents. With an angry sigh, Lucy walked up the walkway, her keys clanging in her hand with every step she took. The man--her father-- came over with a smile that she had inherited. It was cheerful, and would make anyone relax in his presense. But not hers. "Lucy! Sweetheart! Why don't we--" "Get out of my way!" Lucy hissed out, pushing passed her parents and bolting through the front door and up the steps into her room. She slammed the door closed, locking it as well. She then tossed her backpack onto her bed, taking out her Macbook and placing it on her photo filled desk. When she opened her laptop, the first thing she saw was the last picture she took. The one of her new neighbors. Anger filled her some more, and with hard jabs, she had deleted the picture and all she had done to it. Then she took out her slim digital camera and deleted the picture there as well. Afterwards, Lucy tossed her camera with the other seven and then fell onto her bed and cried.

There was a knock on her door a couple minutes later, causing Lucy to feel more angry than she already was. "What?!" she snared, her voice cold. "Lucy? It's your mother. Would you like to talk?" came an angelic voice, sounding a little nervous. "GO AWAY!" Lucy screamed, burying her face into her pillow. All she wanted was for everyone to leave her alone. Her mind was in a frenzy of emotions. Most of them revolving around Jona. Sure she was angry at him, and there was a part of her that thought of him as a monster. But then there was this other part, this bigger part , that can't stop thinking about how beautiful he was. His face swam through her mind, making her heart beat faster than it should. Lifting her head up, Lucy sat up on her bed, hugging her marshmallow pillow. He was a god, he was a monster. She hated him, and yet she felt a sort of affection for him. Was it a developing crush? But that wasn't possible. After what he had done. But then what would explain the reason why she was picturing him in her mind right now, even though all she wanted was to forget about him. He's so beautiful. she thought with a sigh, getting up off her bed and heading to her window. She sat at her window, looking out onto the street. But then her blue eyes looked up to the cloudy sky, which had gone from light gray to a soft white. Grabbing her polaroid camera, the one her uncle had given her years ago, Lucy snapped a photo of it and then pulled out the film, shaking it. The image was perfect. The way she had wanted it to come out. There was a little hint of sadness in this picture, even though it was just clouds. But in this sadness, there was also confusion, as well as happiness and bliss mixed together. Jona came into her head again, causing her to look back up to the sky, hugging tight to her pillow as thoughts came to her about him. All of them surprisingly good thoughts.

We don't love to be loved;
we love to love.

The trip home was short but it gave Jona time to think about his next move. His obvious display of inhuman strength had left him wondering if the little girl had caught on. He didn’t stick around to find out and as he was walking from her he could hear her sobbing. He pulled into the driveway and walked out to the front lawn. Jona looked up to the sky, it was getting lighter and sun might come out today, making him think about the rest of his day. He let gravity take hold of him and he fell back onto the wet lawn feeling it moisten the back of his shirt and pants. He closed his eyes and absorbed the day, but instead of the terrible encounter with Lucy, all that replayed in his head was her smile. He was so mad and for what, why did he smash her camera? Then it dawned on him I like her, and I don’t want her to know what I am? How foolish am I? I need to stay away from her.” he thought and opened his eyes. Even though the sun was behind clouds he could still feel it’s warmth. He smiled and closed his eyes again putting his arms over his head. And as all these good emotions washed over him she was in his head again, but he didn’t fight it. He let this new found euphoria wash every area of him and cleanse his mind. He focused on heartbeats as people walked by and the gasps of women, as they took their morning walks, when they saw him. He hadn’t done this in a really long time, the last time he had was when his sister told him she herd we had thrown the Volturi off out trail. He lightly used his ‘power’ to push the bugs away from him and chuckled as they would go flying away from him. But soon his euphoria was washed away leaving only an image of a dark man.

This dark dressed man was standing over Jona his red eyes piercing. Jona cringed at the figure and tried to back away but it was too fast, every move he made the man was in front of him in an instant. Finally the cloaked man grabbed him and Jona yelled sitting strait up. Jona surveyed the surroundings, his newly amber’d eyes sweeping everything around him. Jona relaxed as he realized he was still in the yard I guess I do remember what nightmares are like. he laughed to himself. He stood and walked back to his house walking in and shutting the door behind him. He walked to his room and sat on his showy bed, that he would never be able to sleep in. He pulled out the very expensive keyboard his sister bought for him, that he stashed under his bed, and played a very light melody. When he noticed that his bedroom window faced Lucy’s house. He didn’t stand but peered through the small crack in his shades and noticed the color of her house through them. He laughed and continued to play little tunes he had learned over the years not ever really learning how to play a full song. He set his keyboard back under his bed and used his normal pace to descend the stairs. He went to the kitchen and found a chocolate cake, that had a knife in it. Jona ignored it and walked to the fridge and pulled out one of the pitchers of cows blood and drank a good portion of it. It was cold and that was a bit off setting but it did it’s intended job and his thirst was quelled so being around people for the rest of the day, if he decided to go out, wouldn’t be that bad. He could hear more heartbeats next door than he was used to hearing. But he still ignored it and went to the TV to tune out the rest of the world.
