I've noticed this as well. I live in South Jersey, very close to Philadelphia and I never hear much. When I do it's always after the fact. I'm sure there has to be. Place like Philadelphia or NYC have strong artistic communities so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for their to be an interest in Steampunk. I know a lot of stores that carry a few items that are reminiscent or it...

I'm actually going to that.
I should dress up in Steampunk for one of those days. >:3

Oh! Yes Ginrei and I plan on attending. I also plan on dressing steampunk for one of the days.

And i'm gonna be doing some steampunk there as well. I can't wait!!!

I'm also going but I won't be doing steampunk but I will be cosplaying a character froma Victorian themed anime. So my clothes will be Victorian themed so I'll have the right era at least.

Oh, there is. This weekend is Anachrocon. It's only in it's 2nd year but the couple who started it is absolutely lovely. It went from a 1 day gathering with some of our(awesome) local SP's, including the fabulous Outland Armour and The Extraordinary Contraptions, to a 3 day con with some of the most amazing panels EVAR.

I'm very excited to go. 1-day passes will still be available at the door, if any wants to go.

The events list is pretty comprehensive.
