She tilted her head, what did the other mean by that? Shaila wasn't that smart, but she wasn't totally stupid either. she flicked her tail and raised a brow. "What do you m-mean?" She always thought it was for her protection, not whatever dote meant.
As the other quickly changed and then darted off, Shaila assumed she found something. She sniffed at the air, but smelt nothing but grass, dirt, and some odd smell of past creatures. Though, she didn't hesitate to fallow. If she did, she could lose the other and then be lost to roam alone again.
Which wasn't at all fun.

Uzuri trotted gracefully through the tall grass, glancing over her shoulder to see the other pup. They both stood out amongst the grass, so it wasn't that easy to lose each other. Happy to have a new friend to wander with, Uzuri smiled. Her heart fluttered childishly, and she flicked her ears about.
She rose her head from the ground, smelling the air once more; they were headed the right way, for now. Uzuri could only imagine what the other pup would do once she saw her prey; what she would do. She waited patiently for the other pup to get closer, and then she led her towards the scent again. It wasn't far now, and Uzuri slowed, lowering her body to the ground, careful not to make a sound.

Thoughts raced threw the little pup's head. What was she doing? Why did she choose to follow? How was she suppose to help hunt with this other? Shaila was always full of questions, and none that would really get answered right away. She was scared, yet excited. It was an odd mix of feelings running threw her body.
She kept up with the other as much as possible. Keeping silent, more so because she had questions, but didn't want them to be put onto the other. Plus, she was sure they wouldn't be answered. Her almost white eyes scanned the area as she tried to keep close to her.

Uzuri's mouth hung open, her pink tongue flopped out. She turned her head, looking straight at the other pup. Her eyes were wide now; anticipation ran through her veins thickly. This feeling, the feeling of the hunt, drove her very soul.
She shook her head to the side, motioning for the other pup to move through the grass. Lifting her paw, she silently opened the blades for a clear view of what they were after. Sitting there, all alone, an oblivious brown mouse knawed on something. Uzuri outstretched her paws, but waited for the other pup to make a move.

Shaila moved forward as the other motioned. She didn't know what the other was trying to tell her, until she saw it... A cute little mouse. She wanted to make a noise to say how cute the little creature was, but she didn't want to scare it and have the other angry at her. Shaila knew what was coming. She knew where meat came from... Other animals.
Her father made sure that he taught them all well about how things worked. He didn't keep anything back, well, so she thought. He kept a lot more from her then she thought. Her tail had started to wag as if it had a mind of it's own. Shaila didn't notice it was moving, at least.

Uzuri's head was more than slightly muddled; she didn't quite understand why the other pup was hesitating. It took a few moments to remember that this other pup had not gone out hunting, and she eased her mind. Reaching out a swift paw, Uzuri clamped her claws down on the mouse's long tail, pinning it to the ground. Its squirming didn't bother her, and now that she had it pinned, she was free to speak. "Lesson one: you can't just hover over your prey; they might see you." she let out a small laugh. "So now what're you gonna do?" her eyes teased the other pup gently.

Shaila nodded at the others advice, but she didn't see how the pray seeing you after you caught it, but she didn't say anything. She looked at the other like a deer in headlights. She wasn't sure what she was going to do but watch the other continue what she was doing. "Er." She didn't know what to say. She looked around her as if maybe perhaps the other was asking someone else questions and not her.

Uzuri rolled in laughter; she looked up at the other pup, eyes watered. "This will be your meal, so deal with it in some way." her snicker had faded slightly, and she toyed with the mouse with her other paw. "Go on now, make your move. You do want to eat, don't you?" Uzuri tried to understand the other pup's confusion, and didn't rush her.

Shaila was put on the spot light again, what was she suppose to do? She moved towards the mouse and the other's paw kinda slowly, looking at the other and glancing at the mouse as well. She opened her mouth her mouth and went towards the mouse... hoping that was what she was suppose to do.
She looked at the other with her mouth opened wondering if this was what she was suppose to do. "Lyk thith?" She tried to talk with her mouth open.

Uzuri squinted her eyes, smirking slightly. "If you like fur~" she rolled onto her side, her leg contorted to keep a firm grip on the mouse. "Just......kill it quickly. So it doesn't suffer." her eyes slided to the side, awkwardly avoiding the other pup's eyes. "I know you can do it!" her smile spread across her face, confident in this new friend.

It wasn't the matter of killing it she didn't get... It was how to kill it... Did she bite off it's head? Did she step on it with her foot? She pondered for a second and unsure. Normally she thought the other would go first to show her how it was done, instead of telling her, but she guessed the pup didn't see things that way... She grabbed it with her mouth and bit down as hard as she could. ears down and eyes shut.
A squeak came out of the mouse, then silence. It happened fast, but she didn't know where she actually bit. A tasted she never had before filled her mouth. The warm blood of the mouse. Of course, it wasn't much blood, but enough to make her spit it out in shock. She had bit it's head off without even knowing it. One half was still under the other's paw, and the head was laying next to it.
She looked as if she was almost about to cry. She looked to the other pup then back at the poor mouse. "will it be ok?" She asked the other. Unsure of what to do or think Shock had over come her.

Uzuri's eyes had widened, and she looked between the mouse's body and the other pup; she had never seen someone actually take the whole head off. "Well, it......." Uzuri searched for words, the slowly moved the remains of the mouse away from the other pup, trying to distract her from it. Thinking quickly, she slid a sharpened claw down through the hole that the mouse's head once occupied, butterflying it open. "I think it's best if you just not think about it too much, and eat." she nosed the body over to the other pup, speaking gently. "You did good. It was your first time, wasn't it?" she let out a laugh. "You'll get used to it."

Her shaking came back. She'd just..... just killed something. A rush of excitement, yet a feeling of sadness washed over her. She didn't know what else to do, but listen to the other and eat the body. Even though she felt like she shouldn't at all. What else was the pup to do though? She crunched on the bones, and other things, with the mouse being so small it didn't matter if she ate the bones or not. One swallow, all she could taste was the first bit of blood that entered her mouth. The moment the mouse's head was the only thing in her mouth. But that had long happened already. She couldn't help but think about it. Did it suffer? Did she hurt it at all? It did squeak. She felt sick, but didn't tell the other, nor did anything come up.

Uzuri watched silently at the other pup; she could tell it was bothering her- something like that would bother anyone if they've never done it before. Memories of Uzuri's own first kill came back, and she remember that she felt nothing for the animal, as she was desperate due to starvation. She felt a tad depressed, for the horrible way that the mouse died, but it was over. Done. There's no going back.
"Don't think about it too much; it's in the past, and there's nothing you can do about it anymore." she turned her head and smiled. "So congratulations on your first kill!"
((By the way, total congrats on the pink fuzzball! <3))

She nodded at the female. She didn't know if she could promise not to think of it. At least not for now. It still lingered, but it was gone now, apart from the head. She grabbed it, dug a tiny hole just big enough for it, and stuck it in there. Then buried it. She didn't know why she did it, she just felt like she had to. She looked back up at the other, still slightly shaking. "T-thank you." She said with a half smile. What else was she suppose to say?
(( ^^ Thanks, gotta love random bits of luck))
