LinaInverse_chan metallium is an invention from fans..ther is a rumor about a true japanese last name for xelloss, ust come and see slayersfan.com for the rumor/info....but the guy (username: Xelloss) won't tell his secret so easily lol Yeah, we had to keep bugging him before he finally said he'd tell us. Not only that, but he just said "Okay okay, I'll tell you" and didn't even really tell us what it was.... *gets hit by pie* @_@

Deshi Koinogenki LiaFairyle Am I remembering wrong, or did he get called "Beast Master Xelloss" in NEXT by Milgasia? *gasp* Then Juu ou-sama Zelas may be all a big conspiracy!!!!!!! Xelly may be the real Beastmaster without anyone knowing... ^^ *mysterious music plays in the background* I think I would know, I do work for them stare I'm pretty sure what Milgasia-san calls him is something like "Juushinkan" or "Juujinkan," so it's close to Juuou (Beast Master, or Greater Beast, as it's sometimes translated as) so that would make him like, Lesser Beast Xelloss. The subtitlers just couldn't tell the difference, I guess.

ninja supposedly, the titles would be Greater Beast Zelas Metallium (I don't know where I got that Metallium part either really) and Beastmaster Xellos. Well, if you think about it, if you can kill a horde of golden dragons just by drawing a line in the air... I don't think "Beastmaster" is all that inappropriate... And since Zelas is a Greater beast (I'm guessing a really strong wolf demon with a humanoid form) her title still shows that she is stronger than her general/priest. Hah, master of all beasts except the one that created him...
That's my thought on it in any case.... xp

The subtitlers just couldn't tell the difference, I guess. Xelloss is known as the Lesser Lord Beastmaster while Zelas is the Greater. Xelloss acts as the Beastmaster in her absense.

Hmm.. well, no matter what, you cannot stop fangirls from using Metallium as a last name, cause the only fangirls that crazy usually would be americans. im happy i live in norway mrgreen .. almost.. stare

I believe Metalium (Or Metallium for others) is just another way of us connecting Xell to his Mistress. As a general rule; I think the true slayer fans after proper research would realize his name is plain old Xellos. But hell, it's not like we have to be completely.... sticklerish for his name. *Shrugs* I use it just cause I can, it's creative liberity. But there's no true one way.

A lot of fangirls use "Metallium" for his last name so that when they fall in love with him in their fanfics they can have part of him by having his last name. If he had no last name how could they prove that they were married to him? stare

On countless message boards and other sites where you have a username, I've seen people saying there name is '______ Metallium'. It's really quite disturbing how many of those you see if you know where to look. stare
