Yuri walked slowly behind the kits to make sure no harm came to them.
Tsukiko turned to swipe at her brother but missed. She wiggled her butt and growled playfully before dashing after him*

"Do you think the kits would be alright if I let them forge ahead a bit?" Latte asked as he slowed his pace even further to fall behind to Yuri's position.
"Nah nah~" Keiichi took off at a run, dodging fallen tree branches as he raced through the undergrowth. He stopped at a particularly large root, trying to figure out how to get over it.

Yuri nodded as she happily accepted Latte's company. She looked foreward at the running kits, and continued to smile.
Tsukiko continued to run after him until she pounced him in front of the log. After nibbling at his ear she looked up. "Whas that?"

Latte looked onwards at the kits, and smiled gently to Yuri. "Do you remember when we were like that?"
Keiichi stared up, for once at a loss for words. "A wood?"

Yuri laughed lightly at her children and lokked at Latte. "Of course I do."
Tsukiko stood on her back paws and tried to touch the top. "A biiiiig wood."

"It was a long time ago. But it seemed so serious back then," Latte said with a chuckle. "Let's go teach them how to get over that log, shall we?"
Keiichi followed Tsukiko's example and also tried, but he was too short. "Yeah...let's get mommy and daddy to help!"

Yuri nodded and laughed with him. "Yes... We shall."
Tsukiko pouted and sat back down on the ground. She wiggled her butt before jumping up and clinging to the top of the log, her back paws dangelling down below her.

"And, up we go!" Latte said as he hoisted Tsukiko up so that she was standing on the log. "That's better, right?" He then picked up Keiichi gently by the scruff of his neck and placed him on the log next to Tsukiko.
Keiichi moved his paw down the log, feeling the rough surface coated with moss. "Kwough~" he said happily. Tensing his muscles, he then took a flying leap into a clump of ferns nearby, landing with a soft oomph.

Tsukiko looked around from her now higher perch, feeling like queen of the world until her brother joined her. She was about to pounce after him to knock him down when he jumped himself. She glanced into the fern before happily following suit.
Yuri watched Latte lift the children to the top of the log before walkign around towards the fern they jumped into. "Follow me" she softly said before hesitating to walk toward where they were going.

Latte smiled to himself, treading carefully behind Yuri. "You take the lead," he whispered to his mate. "I'll watch from behind."
"Mama~" Keiichi sang happily as he tumbled out of the ferns and followed after his mother. "Tsuki!" He turned around just in time to see her jumping off too, and he dodged her as she tried to swipe at him.

Yuri looked at Latte and smiled. "Okay." she replied softly before walking on ahead, glancing back to make sure that the children followed suit.
Tsukiko growled playfully as she landed in the ferns, rolling out of them before chasing after Keiichi. "Imma get chu!"

Latte started humming to himself, enjoying the sunshine and the subtle breezes that ruffled his hair and brought the sweet aroma of spring past him. "It's days like these that I enjoy the wonders of life," he mumbled to himself.
Keiichi grinned, increasing his speed until he ran in front of Yuri. There, he stopped, waiting for Tsukiko and Yuri to catch up. "Miss me, miss me, now you gotta kiss me!" He paused for a moment. "Wait, scratch the last part!"

Yuri looked back at Latte. "Did you say something?"
Tsukiko growled at her brother, chasing after him until his little ryme. "Eew! Why would I kiss you?"

"Oh, just marveling at our wonderful luck and happiness." He nuzzled her softly, enjoying her presence. "I think the river's ahead, dear," he said, ears perking up at the sound of trickling water. Sure enough, a patch of clearest blue liquid stood out among the gray rocks and lush green grass just ahead.
Keiichi made a face, unwilling to acknowledge the thought. "I wouldn't, for sure," he muttered under his breath as he picked up speed once again to escape Tsukiko's agressiveness. He very nearly plunged headfirst into the still icy stream water, thankfully stopping a few inches from the edge. "Skweem!" he shouted happily as he climbed onto a big, flat rock overlooking the rushing water.

Yuri smiled and nuzzled him back before looking ahead. "Is that so?" She asked, before she saw some blue, and after that, a cold stream.
Tsukiko made a few moves, just out of Keiichi's reach. She flicked her ears up before crashing into him as he stopped. She peaked out behind him. "Stream!"
