Nazih looked at the male and sighed softly. "It it okay. Old wounds do heal. I have my adoptive mother now. It isn't the same but she makes it better." He looked at the male with a arched brow as he started to talk about what he thought his father looked like. That sounded...

His thoughts were interrupted as he looked down at his coat. Thinking. Dharba said that he looked like his mother. Nazih's grandmother. He didn't look that much like his mother though. He ruffled his brow for a moment. "I'm sure I didn't come from that pride." His voice cracked slightly, not that sure of what to think. "My mother never had my color eyes." He paused for a moment before looking back up at the male.

"I think we have the same father Njalo..." He said a little wuietly. He had other siblings? Oh god he was more confused now.

"I... what?" Njalo responded, somewhat confused. He had missed uncovering the truth by that much; he had made the wrong connection, and he was silenced by the right one. The implications rushed to the forefront: Fedha wasn't his father, he was their uncle! Ivie had... gone to the brother of the one she loved to get children that looked similar enough.

Njalo swished his tail once, embarrassed by the revelation, and uncomfortable in the silence. "I... think you're right," Njalo said, his voice devoid of emotion, excepting shock, "Dharba."

A few more moments passed in silence, an then Njalo remembered something else Nazih had said. "You met him? Recently? What was he like?" Despite not really caring about not having a father around growing up, the green lion harbored a certain instinctual longing to learn more about this mysterious lion. Was he crazy, too? Did he know that Ivie was using him? And he just had to meet his dad... and talk. It only seemed right.

Nazih'Matata watched the male, waiting for his reaction, wondering what it was going to be. He was just very glad that it wasn't as awkward as when he first met his father, he hated that just because of how awkward it was. Despite the silence it was no where near like the silence that was with his father, he didn't mind this one at all.

"Yes I have met him recently." He made a small face thinking about the day not that long ago that he met his father. Now he was meting his brother. Odd... "Well.. I'm not that sure of how to describe him to tell the truth, don't know him that well." He shrugged, it was true he didn't know that much from the one time that he ran into him. "Well it was a awkward moment for sure... other wise I didn't pick up that much. He seemed pretty nice I guess. He was alone." He nodded that was the best he could tell from the encounter with the male.

"Well, I can imagine that would be awkward," remarked Njalo, somewhat lamely. He was still so in shock that what he had just learned made all of the pieces from his messed up childhood fit together. The only thing lacking was the motive. Why, why, why?

And then he realized Nazih was technically his half-brother. At this, a smile alighted his maw, and he said somewhat loudly, "Brother!" His voice was full of exuberance. "You know, it's been a long time since I've seen my family--and then what do you know, I run into a bit of it I've never even met before!"

Njalo paused and looked around.

"Just in case you have any more luck, and run into more family, I ought to tell you my littermates' names. I've got two brothers: Akono and Bem; and three sisters: Nissa, Tiombe, and Phusa. They're all pretty nice, but Nissa can be a brat sometimes." Njalo sighed at his few childhood memories. “And if you ever meet a green lioness named Ivie’lingwa, run as fast as you can in the other direction.” The moss-colored lion chuckled at his inside joke.

The fact that this Dharba character was alone did not surprise him, but that he seemed nice did. If not anything else, Njalo had acquired the impression that his father was something of a flirt, since he appeared to have at least two litters that he didn't bother to stay around to care for. But then again, maybe he didn't know. If he was nice, perhaps the other lioness had used him like Ivie probably had, though she sounded rather kind as well, according to Nazih. Well, Njalo would find out one way or another, because he was going to look for him. For the first time, he knew how Kinanda felt, wanting to search for her father... he needed to meet Dharba, it was as simple as that.

Nazih'Matata chuckled softly at the other male then nodded. "It was." Then the reaction to Njalo figuring out that they were half brothers really threw him off. God the moods in this run in were all over the place. But he had a brother. He missed having a brother so much. Maybe it was good to have another brother. Maybe they could care about each other. Who knows?

He chuckled before he flicked his hair out of his eyes then nodded. "Brother." He agreed before listening to the names of his siblings. Wow, he never would have thought that he had that many, if they were half siblings or not. They were siblings. Although he was hoping that a lot of them were like Njalo. But then when he talked about the green female he chuckled a bit. "I'm guessing it is your mother?" He smiled softly at the male. He liked his mother and even his adoptive mother. For some one not to like their mother they had to have had done something big.

"Yep, that's my mom," Njalo sighed. "From what I just heard, I think she used Father to have children that look similar to Fedha, and then I know she used us to try to convince Fedha he was our dad, and thus that he should leave his mate for her." Njalo hesitated??; he wasn't used to sharing so much of his life, but this was his brother he was talking to, so he had, in a way, a right to know, Njalo figured. "I don't know why she did it, and fortunately it didn't work, but it tore our tentative family apart--I don't know if any of them are still there. My sisters had been talking about leaving, though I think I beat them to it."

Njalo was acutely aware that he had specifically been asked not to tell his life story, but he thought that the circumstances of their conversation had changed significantly, though he couldn't be sure.

Now that Nazih thought about it the conversation really did change, a lot. He smiled at the idea of it, they were just arguing and now they found out that they were brothers... And now close to telling their life stories. He looked at his brother then made a small face. "Well that's no good at all..." He shook his head for a moment. "I don't know what happened exactly but I don't think who my mother was telling me was my father could have children or something. But I don't know where my older brother came from in that case..." His voice trailed for a moment before he continued. "And I think... Our father came around and she took the chance. If the attack on the pride never happened I would have never found out."

A small sigh escaped his mouth before he looked at Njalo with a slight smile. "Yeah, I haven't exactly left home but I'm out now, letting my adoptive mother and her mate have some time... And really just thinking." He shrugged before sitting back on his haunches. "Do you know where you're staying yet?" He asked witha curious look growing on his face.

"Your mom sounds nice," Njalo nodded in approval, "It's nice to know your roots though, right? I've never met any ancestors beside my own mom." The green lion came to this realization as he spoke, and mused over it a moment. Perhaps another question to ask a god, if he ever found the right one.

"Thinking is good, I suppose," commented Njalo, a vague frown forming on his maw, "Though I think I've got into the habit of doing it far too often. Living alone does that to you, I suppose." Then he chuckled and added, "Too much of anything isn't healthy."

Njalo's eyebrows rose slightly at Nazih's subtle question, and he answered, "I don't, but I usually I just hide when I'm too exhausted to go on. Why?"

Nazih looked at the other lion before chuckling slightly. "You have a point there. Knowing my family is pretty cool." He flicked his hair out of his eyes then sat back on his haunches some. "If I really ever need to tlak to family its good to know where to go I guess." He admitted with a soft laugh.

"Thinking is always good even if you think that you over think... I think." HE laughed at himself before looking at the male and chuckling slightly. "Well you do got a point there.

He then looked at him and shrugged. "Mind if I joined you tonight? I have no where else to go." He laughed slightly

Njalo nodded. He liked the idea of being able to rely on family whenever you needed someone, although in reality he didn't know where a single one of his direct family was at this moment.

Njalo laughed at Nazih's thoughtful sentence, and he added, "I truthfully suppose it's true that there's some truth in that."

Nazih's question surprised Njalo, and he replied, "Sure, I'd love to have company." Wearing a large grin, Njalo contemplated possible places for moment, then decided, "there's a really big hollow log a little ways away. It's plenty large and very comfortable for what it is. Come to think of it, I should have just slept there last night. Ugh. I thought I'd find something better, so I kept going, but I didn't. I ended up sleeping under a small tree's roots. Much less comfortable."

With a uncharacteristic skip in his step, Njalo started off in the direction of the old giant tree, happy to have company for longer than a single conversation.

Nazih looked at his half brother before nodding to him and looking around the area that they were in. Going some where for the night sounded very good. He grinned slightly before he started his trot after his half brother. Having some kind of company for once in a while made him feel good. It made him feel a lot better really.
