“Not really,” replied Kavu with a heavy, somewhat disheartened sigh. He wasn’t so sure it had been the best idea to go looking under the water now that his head was back out of it. His eyes stung a little from the debris that had been floating around in there beyond the rocks just waiting down at the bottom.

He blinked a few times, shaking his head to get off any loose water that was still clinging to his fur. Just on his head, though, for the moment.

Once they had both gathered up the rocks they both had been looking for, Kavu nodded to the smaller creature, aware as well that it was time to let her get back to her parents. If he kept her out too long, he might end up getting her in trouble with her parents. Not to mention he would be in trouble with his own family if he let it get dark before making it back. And it wasn’t a short walk home, either.

“I’ll see you later for sure!” he assured her, grinning like a fool, “and I’m happy we got to meet! Enjoy your rocks! We’ll have to show each other what we make next time we cross paths!” He followed her example and got the rocks on the leaf, looking at them a moment more before getting them ready to go, lifting the small package in his mouth.

End. XD
