Ben Gosder was once described as, "a giant of the new century." Whatever it's true meaning was, all in all, it was quite to the point. Though not too tall in stature, his muscular build and almost brooding nature gave off the aura that he was greater than he appeared. During his adolescent years, Ben found it almost near difficult to cultivate friendships worth having, and thus, found his outlook in fighting, swordplay, and being the best. Successful or not, there is not a person that he has come into contact with, that could not say that they were not in some way, intimidated by his upmost darkly appearence.
There was that Marc charm he was so fond of... Always getting into more trouble that would lead them all into trouble eventually... Everything was eventual when it came to that cess pool of flesh with nothing but animosity fueling his movements. Ben wondered how he slept at night. Tossing the thoughts aside, he made his way towards Julian, his hands tucked into his pockets as if they were cold. "The question is, what HASN'T a vampire touched. They seem to be progressing faster than we can rid them..."
He shot a quick glance to Catherine, and then back towards Julian, only briefly, and allowed his gaze to the sky. It was true, vampires were every where, and where ever they went, dispair was certain to follow. Perhaps it was not the most intellectual idea to just walk into a town with this much disfunction, but of course, Marc decided to think with something other than what his wisdom ought to be telling him at the moment. "Let him go. We shall scope out the outer layers. Find out what is happening on the outside, before we walk into a mess we will have to get our hands dirty in..." Ben stopped speaking after wards, and waited for reactions from his team mates before such a course of action could be taken.

Julian watched as his sister prepared the garlic incense smoke. This was something she usually did and the smell really wasn't something he enjoyed. After smelling so much of it in the past, it kind wasn't something he looked forward to. Why couldn't vampires hate some other kind of smell? There was nothing really he could do about that and so like usual he tried to ignore it.
Taking the halve of the sandwich he smiled weakly at her. "Thank you sis." The sandwiches his sister made that ended up squished weren't all that good when he actually ate them. His sister was only ever trying to help, so like a good big brother he would eat them anyways.
"Goodluck Marc, hopefully today isn't the day a vampire gets you." Julian said with a smile as he waved at Marc as he walked off. Even though he said something like that, he knew that Marc wouldn't let something like that happen. Either way, it was something that the two of them would say to each other. Though in the end, they were still good teammates when it came to fighting.
His attention turned toward Ben who had spoken. "We really have been busy lately, though, I guess just like vampires, we don't get any vacation days as well. It's sad really, all we ever do is hunt vampires, no relaxing breaks. Oh well, I guess that's how things go." Julian didn't really mind fighting vampires, but with so many vampires to fight, he was sure right about the lack of time off. "Should we split up to scope the outer layers? I know you can handle yourself against a vampire. It would be quicker that way, though it's up to you. You're way older then the rest of us, so it's only fair."

Shaking his head ever so gently, Ben gathered his massive strength and made his way beyond the reaches of both Catherine and Julian, though he was still within ear shot. Turning, he glanced at them both only briefly, wondering if such an action was wise. Of course he could handle on his own having little or nothing to do with age, just experience. Whether you were ten or a hundred, if in one single year you witnessed a most unpromising act every day for said year, most likely you are going to have stories and scars to carry with you for the rest of your life. Ben was just that kind of guy. Always had a memory to fit a current situation, which not only kept him nimble, but smart. Catherine, Julian, and even Marc were all young, and though all in the same business, they were definently not as cunning as was his own circumstance. Vampire, vampires, it was all the same. Nothing was new anymore, but that did not make him any less worried for his own safety and that of his teammates.
"Well. If there is no down time for us, then there is no down time for them either..." Ben smiled wickedly to himself. It was time to eradicate, as he liked to call it. Rather than hunting. They weren't tracking a fox, or perhaps some measely rabbits, but fully equipped hell creatures with blood in their thirst and death in their eyes. Ben was just happy that he could allow them to see their own putrid reflection in his own eyes as his blade cut down their only life source.
"You and Catherine take the outer walls due north. I will cover the south. Just keep your eyes peeled, but don't look suspicious, it would be unwise to make yourself seem... out of townish." With that, Ben made his slow appraoch towards the back walls of the city, keeping his appearence as down low as he could muster. But with his size, it was hard to really miss him...

Catherine was a little hurt neither Ben nor Marc showed interest in her sandwiches, they may be squished but they were still good... She thought to herself as she finished with the garlic smoke and pulled out a small brazier and attached it to her walking stick, then taking the frying pan she dumped the Garlic onto the coals and carefully scooped them up into the brazier. Now where ever she walked, she would leave a garlic ash cloud behind, helping her create a temporary barrier around the town to keep it safe. She ignored the sadness which came from their treatment of her and she started to clean up, after first planting her walking stick in the ground so it wouldn't fall over.
The fact Marc just randomly took money from her bag made her angry, he was taking away from their finances which she did her best to keep track of. "Idiot.... hope you choke on what you buy! No clothing again for anyone.... " Finishing up Catherine replaced things in her pack and pulled out a small slip of paper and a short very well used pencil and quickly wrote something down on it and handed it to Julian. "You go check out that area, I'll make a perimeter, also make dinner later." With that Catherine pulled her walking stick out of the ground and started to shake it, sending small flecks of ash all over the place and then started to walk off along the outskirts of town. She felt bad that Julian would worry about her being alone, but this was her job, she had to do it. As she moved away from Julian she stopped, turned around and looked at him and smiled as brightly as she could. A tradition she started because she never knew if it would be the last time they saw each other. "I'll be fine, we can meet up after I am done..."
Catherine felt a strong thump in her chest and looked away as a few tears fell from her eyes. "I love.. you brother... I wish I could tell you that..... I really wish I could.... tell you... that I loved you with my own voice...." Sniffing a little Catherine bolted so Julian wouldn't see her tears and almost tripped because she had forgotten her backpack, the weight it put on her body was something she was used too, without it she felt so light that it threw off her entire balance. Skillfully using her walking stick she kept herself standing, and in a quick motion turned around, smiled again, hiding her tears behind it and went for her backpack. "Heh... stupid me, I almost forgot this." Getting the pack onto her back didn't take her but a few minutes, waving at Julian she went back to her task, keeping a fake smile on her face to hide her pain.
Wandering away from Julian, Catherine went about her usual methods, placing some crosses, spreading incense everywhere. All the while she tried to speak. She'd open her mouth and try to say something, but only a faint breath of air came out, once again, she was unable to talk. She would continue to try, getting caught up in her usual routine and tending to blank out the stuff around her and focus on her task.

"Hopefully today isn't the day a Vampire gets you," Marc mocked Julian in a nasely voice. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, shut the ******** up."
Marc walked down the cobblestone streets alone, soon reaching a point where he could not see nor hear the rest of the group anymore. He could still somewhat smell the air which annoyed him to no end. Maybe even more than that he was annoyed by how hard Catherine tried to be useful. Maybe Ben or Julian would compliment her once in a while for doing the little things that were useful but what was the point of making small wooden crosses and garlic stew all day? Really, if you didn't kill the Bloodsucker yourself than you have nothing to brag about.
"Quiet little twerp," He mumbled. As he walked by, he noticed some of the houses beside the road were in rough shape. It was an odd sight but some houses had doors that were kicked down, windows that were smashed, and gaping black holes in the walls but other than that the houses seemed fine. It was as if they were attacked. What was even more strange is that nobody had bothered to fix anything.
Marc tried to make sense of the situation but his twisted mind could only get to one conclusion, and unfortunatly he was right. If these houses were attacked like he suspected than it was probably by a Vampire(s). That's why nobody had bothered to fix them, because the residents weren't alive do it.
Marc frowned, there was something wrong about that. Vampires never killed to such excess, even in their blood lust they were smarter than that. They wouldn't deplete their resources so foolishly. Could it be that the citizens were just hiding in fear? No, that made even less sense. He had been to towns in the past with the same problem and the people there still went on with their lives.
"Hello?!" Marc shouted into the air, cupping his hands around his mouth. "Bah," He mumbled after seeing that things were still the same. "Pussies."
He felt a raindrop on his face. Marc looked up and a few more hit him, soon it was drizzling. He made no effort to pick up his pace to try and get shelter because he doubted there was any place he could go to.
Marc wandered around a bit more, walking deeper into the town before he finally saw a place. It was small and from the looks of it the place was probably a restaurant. The door was wide open and there were lights and sound coming from inside. He walked inside, suddenly realized how wet he was.
Inside, tea-tables were set up low on the ground, pillows instead of chairs were placed around them. It was some of traditional-Japanese tea restaurant, another tell-tale sign was that the customers were all drinking tea. The place was moderatly filled, customers here and there sat, drinking and talking quietly. There was one table though with four young men which was particularly loud, telling crude jokes and being insulting to the waiters.
Marc walked past them, looking at them through the corner of his eyes. Two or three looked back at him with expressionless faces, and after he passed they began to whisper inaudible things, occasionally looking at them. His raging hormones told him to go over and do something but he decided against it, wanting to eat instead.
"What'll it be, sir?" A waiter asked.
"What you got, old man?"
"What did you say?! Oh, uh," The waiter was reluctant to say anything back. "I'll just get you some hot tea."
"I'm hungry, why would I want that?" But the waiter had already gone. Suddenly the four seats around him were occupied by the young men who were being rude earlier. Marc raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, mind if we sit here?" One of them said in an bullying tone, the others laughed. Marc could see that they were really stupid and he assumed they had no force to back themselves up. He also knew that they were here to play around with him, like a cat to a ball of yarn.
"What the hell do you punks want?" Marc replied, not looking to interested in them.
"What?!"
"What the hell is your problem?!"
"Have some respect, do you know who you're talking to?" Those were some of the passionate responses Marc got for being so insulting. He smiled slyly, knowing where this was headed to.
"Sorry, I don't give respect out cheaply. Why the ******** are you bums talking about it anyways, you just came here and sat beside me."
"Hehe, we just wanted to know who you are. We've never seen you around here before."
"Is that a problem?" Marc asked.
"It could be. You should know who we are before you make such rude gestures, hehe," The one beside Marc said.
"I don't give a damn who you are."
"What?!"
"I have no intentions of being friends."
"Friends? Haha, you're a funny guy. We work for Kagetoki Kariya, this town is his. If this his town is his and we work for him, that means we're free to do what we want. We can make the lives of anybody in this tea shop miserable, haha," As he laughed the thug gestured towards Marc.
"Kagetoki..." Marc began but he already forgot his name. "What kind of name is that? Your boss sounds like a little b***h to me."
"What the ******** was that?"
"Hey you, shut your mouth before we do it for you!"
"I know I'm right. What kind of guy would hire goons like you to do his work for him? I could murc all four of you and your boss right now," Marc sniggered. At this point most of them had stood up beside the one beside him.
"You're going to regret those words."
The waiter brought the tea in, he looked scare to approach the table. He went to place a steaming cup in front of Marc but the man beside him took it from the waiters hand instead.
"I'll take that, hehe," As the guy laughed, Marc could clearly see two teeth that were larger and sharper than the others. Fangs, he realized. Marc pushed the man's hand, causing him to spill the tea on his chest. It was boiling hot so the tea seriously burned the man. As he rolled around in pain, the rest of the goons went to attack Marc, but he was too quick and pulled out a handgun from his waist, pointing it in their direction.
"Woah, hold it. My life is too much to be taken away by ugly bastards like you. Go and get your boss, I think I want to fight him," Marc said.
"You're going to regret this. The Boss is going to make you cry and beg for mercy!" They backed away to the door slowly. Marc shot the gun at their feet, causing them to suddenly run out of the shop.
"What do you think?" Marc asked the Vampire cringing on the ground in pain. Marc noticed the smell of burnt flesh coming from him.
"Boss is... too strong... you're going to cry like... a b***h!"
Marc stepped on his throat hard, killing him there. Everyone else in the tea shop had basically ran away at this point, even the chefs and waiter who had served him.

With the echo of the gunshot, Catherine almost dropped her walking stick in total shock, only people she knew who had a gun were her brother, and Marc. Since it was only one gunshot, she guessed Marc, since her brother used two. For a moment, she thought about not bothering, after all, it was Marc. She thought to herself and chewed on her bottom lip a little trying to think about what to do. "Damn jerk..." Catherine was off towards where the gunshot was, she couldn't stand by and watch regardless of her feelings. Seeing a few people come running out she stopped and prepaired herself only to see them pay no attention and run off into the distance. Rolling her eyes she guessed Marc had gotten carried away, again... Then the thought hit her. "Damned idiot nearly scares me to death, and I was actually worried about him." Brooding from what happened, she sat down near the cobbled road and waited for Ben or Julian to come check things out and would go with them. "Idiot probably shoot me too..."

"That crazy tomato just killed somebody in there..."
Ben heard one of the townsfolk say to his companion, though he was sure of who was the cause of said interruption, he couldn't help but shake his head in disappointment. Of course they couldn't go anywhere without something going wrong, that would make things easy, and nothing in their field of work was every easy. He watched the other townsfolk hurriedly walk towards their place of residence, and locked themselves away into their hulls. Ben shook his head and continued to pace back and forth between the buildings, keeping a watchful eye on the goings on around him.
Though it would have been wiser to proceed in the direction of gun fire, but Marc could handle himself. Ben did not always agree with his methods, methods of just about anything, but that did not make him distrust in any of his skills, including weilding a gun. He gave the boy the benefit of the doubt, if he set of a round or two, it was probably for good reasoning. Since it was only one... he also had his doubts.
A woman and her child, dragging behind her like a weakened appendage, passed by Ben, the little girl never took her eyes off of him. It was kind of strange, her eyes transfixed on his own, as if she was reading into his soul, invading his mind, understanding every secret he had to his name; though there were not many. This whole place was odd, even this pale little girl with probably no hope of making past her teen years, especially if her mother continued to allow them reside in such a melancholy place.
Once she was out of sight, Ben continued on his way, not fully aware just yet that he had stopped during that whole little scene. It was not entirely fair of Ben, he gave humanity, especially those outside his little group, little room to have power all of their own. Swords, guns, explosives, not taking into consideration the power that people held, just as that little girl had. That captivating stare, which stopped this massive creature in his tracks and kept him there as she disappeared around the bend.
That must have been why vampires hated humanity. Because humanity was surviving, that they did not need fangs and claws, and immortality to hold onto this world. All and all, humans were just better than vampires by a long shot, if it were not for humanity in the long run, vampires would cease to exist. And the paradox continues on, along with Ben's obsessive prowling.

He watched as Ben walked off away from him and his sister. Apparently his idea was good enough for Ben and that's what was going to happen. Julian chuckled slightly, for once he actually gave a suggestion that was good. Usually he'd say something about him going and taking down the enemy himself. Julian liked when he was on stage so to speak. He just wanted to be noticed as the best vampire hunter ever. For now though, he shared the stage with his teammates.
Reading the note he was handed he nodded slightly. "Works for me sis, just be careful alright." He crumpled up the note and placed it in his pocket. His eyes watched as Catherine left once only to return because she forgot her bag. With a slight smile he waved as she headed off. Without anyone to be with he walked the other way around the outer walls. He looked at the sandwich in his hand and carefully took a bite of it. Julian was hungry and this was really all he had to eat.
A few moments after he took his bite of sandwich he could hear a gunshot in the distance. Letting out a slight sigh he knew right away who it was. Though, of course he knew that Marc usually only fired his weapon at vampires and people who bothered him. Usually it was for both of those reasons, though there was a pretty good chance it was a vampire. Either way, he ended up dropping the sandwich and he ran in that direction.
It didn't matter to him if Marc was injured, though he just hoped a vampire really didn't get him. Despite their differences, he was still part of the team even with all of what he did. He came to a stop at the end of an alley and watched as three guys ran past. They were clearly the guys that Marc had an issue with. It had started to rain a few minutes back and he was already almost soaked in the rain.
He looked down the street toward where the men came from before looking the way the ran off. The things he heard them saying about a boss and about Marc interested him slightly. Maybe this was the lead they were looking for. He couldn't just let them run away without following after them. Julian smirked slightly as he let his hand rest on one of his guns. "Heh, could they have been vampires?" He asked himself not quite sure if they were or not. Either way, despite his legs telling him to check on Marc, they ended up chasing after the guys that were running. Julian was gonna try and follow them without them finding out about it.
((So yeah, Julian decided to follow the guys that ran back. That should prove to be interesting. ^^))

Catherine was a little nervous as she saw people coming out for what appeared to be thin air. She knew they were hiding all over, but never guessed she'd see this many, she never liked being in large groups, not being able to talk made it difficult for her to get around. Looking as best as she could, she instantly spotted Ben, who easily stuck out in the crowd and pulled herself up and made her way over to him. She was bumped a few times, yelled at, but continued on, ignoring them as she made her way to get to Ben when next thing she knew, she felt someone grab her hand and tug her away. In the sudden motion she dropped her walking stick which, fell with the brazier with a loud clank to the ground spilling it's contents all over. She quickly began to struggle and pull away, looking to see who had grabbed her, some rather ugly looking man, who in the confusion had singled her out.
Almost instantly thoughts went through her head about what Julian said about being careful around strange men. She really started to panic, she wanted to scream for Ben to help her but she couldn't no matter how hard she tried. Resisting with all her might, she squirmed and swung with her free hand and kicked with her legs in futile attempts to get away. The distance between her and Ben were growing rather quickly, she looked around for her brother who wasn't around. "No.. no... I don't want to go with you! Leave me alone you disgusting pig!" With a tug using all her might, her arm slipped slightly and she ran forward with all her might and slipped out and crashed to the ground. It took her but a moment to get out of the backpack and she ran and nearly tackled Ben's arm and held it tightly and pointed behind her at the man who had grabbed her and was now trying to rummage through her pack while people paid little attention to it, more worried about the man with the gun.
Her clothes were a little dirty from the wipe-out, and she had a few cuts and scrapes on her face and hands, her face was a mess, she had tears rolling down her cheeks, she was terrified, she almost became someones... she couldn't even think any further about it and shivered with fear. She was glad Ben was there, she had no clue where her brother had gone, but she was far more worried about herself, and their stuff.

Lost in his own thoughts Ben was immediatly awoken by something, or better yet someone. His eyes stared down at Catherine in utter confusion and curiosity, and somewhere between the two, anger. Not that bumping into him was an annoyance, but what had shooken her up so that she would come face first into him, and whatever was on the other side of said doing better be fearing for it's life. Ben was quiet, that much was true, there wasn't a lot that he could say that he felt was worth the time and effort, but that did not mean he cared any less about his teammates. Catherine was their only female, and thus, she was the one that he felt was worth putting in the effort for.
"What happened?" He asked, in his estranged voice, but what she pointed at painted the picture far louder than her words could have transcribed. There was the b*****d, tearing through their things like it had a note attached to it saying, "steal from me." That was all the proof that Ben needed, and he patted Catherine's head like he would his own daughter and made his slow hulking approach towards the man who had victimized Catherine.
"You know, some how, I don't think the lady gave you the okay to rummage through her things..." Ben kept a steady grip on his stance, not really reaching for his sword, that would be a last resort, and he could have his blade out faster than this weakling could release a bullet from it's hollowed chamber.
The estranged man looked up at Ben, his eyes set on not caring, it seemed, because he continued to press on deeper into her things as if Ben had not even opened his mouth to speak. "Again. I don't think you are grasping the severity of the situation. You made a lady cry. Bold move. But let's just make a deal right now. You can leave, walk away, pretend this situation was just a figment of my imagination. Or.. you can continue through that bag and I can add your head to it. The decision is yours." Mockingly, Ben put his hand on the hilt of his great sword, and raised his eyebrows as if to question the scraggly creature before him.
"Smart man." Ben relayed, as the attacker decided it was best not to become a headless corpse and fled the scene. Not as fast as Ben would have liked, but fast enough. "Tell your friends to stay the hell away while you are at it..." Ben warned him, and allowed his hand to fall to his side.
"You okay?" He asked, in the most gentle voice he could muster, despite his size, it was an admirable attempt, to say the least.

The thugs did not notice that they were being followed. Not only were the people in the tea shop running around outside but the civilians who had heard the gunshot were lured out of hiding from their homes. The streets grew more full with people as the news passed on, rumours spreading around on what it could have been. In this commotion it was impossible to tell if you were being followed around. Still, the difference from now and ten minutes ago was remarkable. The streets which were completely empty were now filling up fast, even in the rain people came out because of curiousity. Most of them were holding umbrellas over their heads or had hoods on.
The thugs eventually made it to one of the bigger houses in the town. Before they could go through the door, it was opened and a tall figure stepped out. It was hard to distinguish his features because he wore a travelling cloak, only his eyes were seen. Amethyst spheres looked at the thugs, his look was wild like an animal's.
"Boss Kagetoki!"
"What is it?" The person replied. His voice was smooth but it trembled with anxiety.
"A Human came to a tea shop earlier. He was starting a bunch of trouble there, we tried to get him to go away but he beat the s**t out someone."
"I see," The man said vaguely, looking up into the sky. "One man? Why didn't you stand up to him?"
"He had a gun and fired it at us!"
"So that was him? That shot woke me up."
"And sir... he... he called you a little b***h and he said he could murc you! He told us to get you so you can fight him!"
"Murc? Is that even a word?" Kagetoki Kariya's calm expression was betrayed slightly by a look of confusion. "He sounds like a fool. I must meet him though. I don't care about his petty insults, but if has a gun he's most likely a hunter."
The group left for the tea shop, the four thugs following Kariya like a pack animal. Once the people on the street saw him, they quickly ran inside out of fear. He cleared the street with his presence only, for those that saw him ran inside, allowing other people to see him who would also run inside, and so on.
(((Crush if you're gonna do something do it now, even though I'd rather him fight Marc. Maybe just follow him to the tea place or something.)))

Julian had followed the thugs to the big house. When he saw them heading toward it he hid around the corner of a house nearby. He was in earshot of the men and heard everything they had said. At first he wanted to intervene, but after hearing a word like murc, he knew who they were talking about. When they mentioned about a hunter, he knew then that they were vampired. Five on one wasn't something that Julian wanted to take on. Though, if Marc was there, they could take them for sure.
His eyes were fixed on their boss who was clearly the toughest out of all of them. Watching as they left he chuckled slightly as he continued to follow after the group. He knew he had to be careful though, if he wasn't he'd be found out and in for a fight. Though, thanks to the rain it made things much easier to follow after them.
((Shorter post, but it's all I could really do. I'll let Marc fight them, for a while at least. We'll see how things go~))

With a sketchy nod, Catherine slowly walked over to her bag and then fell to her knees, her legs behind her in a V, her hands on her legs clenched up in fists and tears still falling from her eyes. She came so close to such a terrible thing that she felt sick to her stomach. It also brought her attention to the wrap she had spent constantly putting around her chest so that she could go around without attracting as much attention, although that was her excuse to herself, it was in fact her way of keeping most of Marc's comments directed else where. Not even Julian knew what she was doing, and she wanted to keep it that way. To try and calm down she started to put things which had been pulled out back into her bag, tears still falling onto her dirty and scratched legs.
While she placed things back in her bag, she took the time to write something in the dirt next to her. "Thank you Ben..." She went back to putting their things away and tried to put away this terrible new memory, not as bad as... no she couldn't remember it, this was her baddest memory, she couldn't remember what happened, this was the worst thing to have happened to her. More tears came out as she knew in reality she was lying directly to herself but she couldn't live if she ever did remember what had happened. She was a sad sight, she knew Ben was trying to help her, but yet she still felt terrible for having to turn to him, she was scared, frightened, she was near breaking point for a serious panic attack.

What does a normal male do in these types of situations? Ben was as lost and confused as much as Catherine was distraught and detached, and though he was probably the last person on earth to be comforting, he was the only person nearby at the time. That crazy b*****d would not come back again to start trouble, atleast that much was true. Had he been direct in his instructions for the two of them, meaning, not to split up. Ben could measure on his lonesome, but it was clear that Catherine was not on his level, just yet.
"Just... Stick close by. We shall travel together from now on." Ben allowed his eyes to graze the shadows about the town, paying close attention to everything that was moving, but not entirely interested in any of it, to be precise. His worries had nothing to do with humans. They were easy targets when it came to fighting and battles. He had been in enough street fights as an adolescent to understand the build of a fight pertaining two or more human beings, however, fighting a vampire was more complex. There were only a select few places where a vampire could be seriously injured, and if not killed right away, could turn out to be problematic. Ben knew that all to well...
"Let's get moving. Don't want to stand here longer than we have too..." Ben could feel trouble arising, but with Catherine in his care, he wasn't about to go looking for it, until he was sure she could be out of the way and more on her feet. From the looks of it, she might fall apart if something else similar happened. And he couldn't be forced into battle and knowing she was in harms way...
Maybe that was what it meant to be a gentleman?

The group wasted no time getting to their destination. Kagetoki moved so that the pouring rain barely touched him. His feet seemed to glide over the ground. It might have been an illusion because he moved so fast but the fact remained that his feet barely touched the road. His group of thugs ran their fastest behind him but despite their efforts they were left behind.
Kariya waited outside the tea shop for the group to catch up. From where he stood he could not see inside the shop but he could sense somebody inside. His anxiety began to build up, his animals instincts risings. He had fed on a couple the night before, but a Hunter's blood was so delicious and invigorating, he could not deny himself this meal. He did not know who the person inside actually was but there were little hints that indicated his instincts were right. Only one type of person would tell those thugs to go and get their boss, a Hunter.
"Sir, what are you waiting for?" The goons had finally arrived.
"You first," Kariya ordered. The men looked at each other in surprise but they walked inside, Kariya behind them. If there was an ambush or a trap waiting inside then he wanted to make sure he was not the victim.
Inside, there was only one person. No ambush, no tricks, no traps, no nets fell from to roof to catch them, simply nothing. There was a person with his back to them, long braids covering his head. His back was turned to them, on the tea table he spun an empty tea cup impatiently with his hands.
"Well... I've arrived. Is this it?" Kariya asked. Marc turned around suddenly, looking surprised and no longer spinning the cup. "He didn't notice us come in. Is he really a Hunter?" Kariya examined him suspiciously.
"What?" Marc looked confused as if he no longer expected them.
"You've requested for me. I'm Kagetoki Kariya, what is your name?"
"Oh yeah, you're that one guy. I see, so let's fight," Marc stood up, a smirk on his face and a childish look of delight in his eyes.
"How dare you speak to the boss that way?! He could kill you in a second if he wanted to! Right... boss?" One of the goons said.
"Guard the door outside, this is my fight now," Kariya ordered
"Yes boss," They looked dissapointed to have to go out in the rain instead of having the privalege of seeing their boss in a fight.
"Now that that's settled, I have a matter to discuss with you as to why we are fighting." Kariya walked slowly to Marc, his movements weren't deliberate and he didn't appear to be threatening to attack.
"What?" Marc did not let his guard down. His hands were balled into fists, not wanting to use his gun to end the fight quick.
"I can't have Hunters like you walking into this town and undermining my authority, y-"
"So this is your town, hm?" Marc asked sceptically.
"Indeed it is. I don't hate Hunters but they- you- aren't welcome here. Even though I would like to drink your blood... so bad..." Kariya's eyes glazed over and he licked his lips a little. He opened his mouth just enough to reveal fangs.
"What?! You sick freak! Don't think I'm just gonna let you do it, either, so why don't you eat this instead?!" Marc ran up and threw a punch towards Kariya's face. Kariya dodged easily, letting Marc brush up against him. He stuck his foot out, causing Marc to trip. Somewhat elegantly he rolled and picked himself up, facing Kariya again.
"There are so many things wrong with you. Could you really be a Hunter? Or was I just hoping too ******** you!"
(((I'll stop it here. I'd like to continue the fight with just them but I've left a few goons outside for you guys. Feel free to add more if you really want to.)))
