Xelaina held back a sigh as the girl sitting next to her in the car continued to drown on about all manner of celebrity and local gossip as the car entered the last town before the school. In all honesty she could hardily have cared less about it wondered why some people found it so interesting. Had she know about the occupant of the back seat she never would have accepted the invitation for a lift, but some of the things she had with her were awkward to carry. For a moment her thoughts drifted to her sword and bow hidden in her packs in the truck. Fortunately for Xel the driver cut off the other girl’s stream of chatter.
" So, Miss, anywhere in particular you want me drop you off in town?” He asked speaking with a slight Irish accent.
“It doesn’t really matter to me. I’m actually going a further then this town.” She answered, relieved for hear someone else speak.
“ To Raven Wood?”
“Yes.”
The other girl snorted and rolled her eyes.
“Why on earth would you want to go there? It’s been abandoned.” She said in an irritating know-it-all tone.
“No it hasn’t Abby.” The young man contradicted.
Abby, rolled her eyes again.
“Don’t tell me you’re like my cousin here who believes the stories about that place.” She said. “ That there’s a school in the old castle past the town for fairies and elves and such, as well as humans. And about how there’s werewolves and vampires and the like in the woods. I think we’re all old enough to know they’re all just fairy tales and boogey stories for little kids. Anyways I see my friends.Let me out Darmait.”
As soon as she had gotten out and walked away he began laughing.
“So how do you feel about being called a fairy tale and boogey story?” He asked.
“I’m wondering what she’d say if she knew she’d been sitting next to one for the last hour and a half.”She responded with a grin.
Xelaina wasn’t very surprised that he’d made the connection about what she was. The people with Gaelic backgrounds were said to be among larger groups of people with the Sight, and he definitely seemed far smarter then his cousin.
“I’ll take you the rest of the way as far as the road goes. I know the area well enough and it can be easy to miss the path if you’re not familiar with it.” He offered.
“So you aren’t afraid of what’s in the woods around here, even though you know it’s true? You’re an odd one then.”
“ When I was a boy I was cased into the woods by some other kids. There’d been a lot of rain and the hill path I was on turned into a landslide; I broke a leg and an arm in the fall. A group of elves found me and healed me. They sort of took to watching over me when I was in the woods and I still talk to them when I see them . On top of that I know what’s in the forests, I know to respect it and I rarely ever go past the elves’ territory.” He explained.
By now they had been driving for a while and left the town behind them. It was a little over another half hour before the paved road ended. Darmait stopped and helped Xel get her things from the trunk. She thanked him and began to away but called her back.
“Miss, I thought I should tell you, though I don’t doubt you’d notice and could take care of yourself. My elven friends say lately they’ve felt a strange presence or some type magic disturbance in the area around the school. They don’t know what it is but they said to be careful.”
Xelaina reattached her sword to her belt and slung her quiver and bow on her back.
“I’m always careful.” She said before waving a final goodbye and heading down the trail.

" Come on Demetri... It's not that hard to find this place, you have a good sense of direction so it should be a piece of cake!" I mumbled to myself as i paced along a narrow strip of cement in front of a boutique that I had just come out of after buying an almost entirely new wardrobe in. Soon i heard a engine purr in the distance, then i saw a red mustang speeding down a road and whipping around the corner. Then i saw a very apologetic looking Demetri looking out the window. i sighed in relief as she spun around so the passenger side door was right next to me.
"God! you took long enough Demetri! I almost maxed out all of my credit cards in this store i was so bored! i even bought you something! Let's go before i damage something just because i am so effing bored."

Crap crap crap I'm gonna die. She going to kill me until i die from it! I'm ssssooo late! Demetri thought to herself, listening to the tires squeal on the asphalt as she whipped around the corner violently not caring what sort of destruction and mayhem she caused by doing that. Now where the heck is that midget of mine?! AH HA! there she-oh god... she looks pissed. I really am going to die. She spun around so it was easier for Fallon to get in the car. Might as well die on her good side right? She smiled apologetically as Fallon plopped down into the passenger seat. Fallon began screaming nonsense at Demetri until she was seething, breathing heavily, and glaring out the windshield. She sat there and started at Fallon dumbstruck before Fallon glared at her burning holes in her forehead until Demetri started the car. Fallon started glaring out the front window again and they peeled away in the opposite direction as fast as the car could possibly go so they could make up for the lost time. Demetri flipped through her collection of CDs and randomly picked one out. She kept her eyes on the road ahead of her and slid the Cd in and 'In The Jungle' started blaring from her oversized speakers. Fallon and Demetri looked at eachother in utter confusion then burst into hysterics almost immediately. Demetri struggled to keep her eyes on the road.

"Why do you even have this CD Demetri??" i asked laughing. She shrugged and continued driving. We pulled up to a beautiful, old looking school and she parked the car and got out of it. She looked at me like i was insane and i got out of the car and grabbed my bag out of the back of the car. I saw a lot of students walking around. I felt oddly out of place, like i wasn't welcome. Some people were staring at me... like i was a freak. "why is everyone staring at me?" I whispered to Demetri. She shrugged and started hauling some of her numerous bags out of the back of the car. "Jesus Dem, could you have packed anymore? i only brought 2 bags completely full of clothes. What are in those bags of yours?" She got pissed, she hates it when i rag on her about stuff like that. I know exactly why they are staring at you. its becasue you smell good. you are half human you know. they all want you. its complete and total blood-lust. Demetri thought just to scare me. drop your stuff and do the chicken dance i commanded completely pissed. she did exactly that. "Fallon stop! I am not kidding!!" She screamed at me. Maybe you will think of that the next time you try to scare the crap out of me! i said with a slightly menacing tone. "You got it. Just make me stop!" she yelled, and i complied. She stopped and walked over to me and hugged me. "Why exactly are you hugging me?" i asked slightly confused. to say sorry. you know if anyone gets within 3 feet of you they will get smacked upside the head, get pinned to the ground, and earn a menacing smile and a growl as a warning. you know that. she thought. i smiled and hugged her back. come on. lets get this show on the road. Let's go before someone notices we are standing here like idiots. i thought as we both grabbed our bags and walked toward the school.

Cecil's dark hair streamed out behind him as he ran through the woods. The others would have most of his possession sent to the school already so there had been no need to get involved with humans and draw attention to himself by going through the towns. As he neared the school he could sense the presence of the humans and other creatures who had already gathered there. Up ahead he could see that the trees thinned out and gave to school campus. With a final burst of speed he leap clear of the rest of the woods and landed on a stone path that lead into the campus, ignoring the startled looks of some of the passing students and he stood and surveyed the nearby buildings and people with intense gold eyes.
'Well, this might be interesting after all,' He thought with a slight smile.
{{Meh, kind of half assed right now but I felt like posting something to get him started. The last of my exams is tomorrow and I'll probably be able to write better when I don't have to think about them any more.}}

" Oh come on- you said 10:30- it is now 11:52! Wait- did you leave me a voice mail this morning? I had like 4 messages that went unchecked..." Demetri mumbled, pulling out her phone. " 4 voice mails...#1...'Demetri, I’m running early, be in town- same place- at 8:30 instead...'" She said, repeating the message Fallon had left her earlier. " Fal- I wasn't even awake at 8:30..." She said, trying not to laugh. " I thought you knew me better!" She laughed.

"Honestly. I didn't think you would stay up ALL night like you usually do on this one occasion. I didn't even stay up that late." I said looking at her, actually glaring at her. "Come on. Let's go. I actually want to see what the inside of this place looks like." pulling Demetri behind me. Honestly Demetri. Do you ever keep your phone on?

" Hey! I didn't stay up THAT late. Only until...12:15 I think...And I don't even remember coming home either, but I had a note on my forehead from Felix. It said 'Next time I’m just leaving you in our car...you get heavy after a while- love your other bestest friend Felix P.s you need to call me when you get settled in, I hate to worry about you! Say hi to Fallon for me'. I thought it was funny- because I normally start falling asleep randomly at 3am- but I guess my brain was just telling me to go to sleep so you don't do something stupid." Demetri said as Fallon pulled her along. "So Felix says hi."
Felix was one of those kind-hearted people who cared about everyone- but he paid attention mostly to Demetri and Fallon. Demetri laughed, remembering the time in the 8th grade when someone put gum in Felix's hair and while they were jumping around being strange and having fun, they got stuck together because of the gum. Both of them had to sit in the middle of Fallon's kitchen floor with their heads together for 2 hours while She combed/cut the gum out. It was so uneven on Demetri’s side, she had to cut her hair fairly short- but she liked it. Felix just decided to deal with uneven hair for a few weeks before cutting it again.

"I remember that Demetri! Felix was so stubborn. He wouldn't let me even cut his hair to make it even! You liked how I cut yours right?" I asked self concious. Demetri, Felix, and I were inseperable. "Is Felix coming to school with us Demetri? Demetri. Tell me the truth."

"Yeah, Felix has always been that way. Very strong headed when he wants to be. And yes, I love the way you cut mine back then- but I don't like how short Felix's was… it's still growing back out...Well, I guess that’s what we get for being an abnormal breed of vampire. Our hair must grow slowly" She said, laughing and thinking about how long he usually kept his hair- straight, long, and black. His hair was super dark- pitch black. It was always hanging at his shoulders- the gum incident changed that, and it was still growing back to it's original length.
" Maybe he is... He always avoids that question when I ask him- he's been acting weird since he went to France... It's nothing I'm sure..." She trailed off.

"I remember that. I do miss his long hair. It made me sad to have to cut it. It was beautiful and long and lusious. I loved it. It was so much fun cutting your hair!!" I said remembering how Felix acted before France. "You are right Demetri. He has been acting weird. Maybe I should look into it..." I said mischiviosuly.
