A few Hours Later

twisting to the side she head-butted someone, hearing a growled curse. someone grabed her chin and forced her head to the side, pain cutting into her neck. wakeing to the sound of a scream she paniced, grabbing the pillow next to her and curling into a ball. realizeing that she as the one screaming she stoped, breathing heavily and holding the pillow against her chest. just the nightmare, it wasnt happening agian.. and yet her neck still throbed, stinging as it had in the dream. shakeing she sat up against the headboard, hideing her face in the pillow as she tried to calm down. slowly she remembered where she was, and she was able to relax a bit. she didnt realize she was crying, the pillow catching her tears before she could feel them. it was the nightmare.. the only one she had sense she had been caught by the vampires. it never went away.. not even after the years that had passed.

still shakeing she didnt think, just hugged Viktor and hid her face against his chest. still reliveing her nightmare she made a pained sound and held a hand tightly to her neck, closeing her eyes tightly. " v-vampires.."

it was what had started her as a hunter.. being attacked one night. she hadnt beleived in vampires or lycans, hadnt really cared about anything but doing her work and helping her brother finish school.. vampires had attacked them both on their nightly walk, killing her 11 year old brother and nearly killing her. she survived.. the vampires leaveing both her and brothers body in the feild and moveing on. she had tracked them.. and managed to kill two. three had gotten away. opening her eyes she swallowed, slowly becomeing aware of where she was. to tiered to care what Viktor thought of her she just closed her eyes again, feeling tears welling up again and hideng her face against his chest. " just a nightmare.. im sorry, Viktor i.. i didnt mean to.."

opening her eyes she tried to breath calmly, letting herself relax slowly. swallowing she brushed at her face, trying to wipe the tears away. horrified that Viktor had seen her like this she tried to find a way to save what pride she had left. trying to keep her voice from breaking she managed to say lowly. " i know.. you wont hurt me. there are good people in the world too Vik.." trying to forget the memory for his sake she put a hand on his chest, resting her forhead against his shoulder. " all i need right now is a really cold beer, and a coffin for my pride." decideing she would die of humiliation she added the last part, attempting to take both of their minds from before. if she could sink any lower.. she didnt want to know how. she woke up screaming in someone else's house, then cried on that someone like a complete idiot. rubbing her forhead she kept her eyes closed, saying in a bit stronger voice. " just really.. really dont want to be alone."

shakeing her head she tried to clear her throat, her mouth going dry. she wouldnt be able to get over it, but mabye she could make it just a bit less horrible. puting her hands on either of his shoulders she backed up a bit, looking at him calmly as she said softly. " Vik.. i need you to bite me." it was the only thing Raven could think of. she trusted him, as odd as it was, and knew he wouldnt hurt her.. mabye then when her neck hurt she would remember Vik instead of the nightmares. that.. or it would just make them worse. winceing she wasnt sure what to do, though being near him was helping her calm down. she let her head fall forward a bit, her hair hideing her face as she murmered quietly. " i dont want to use you that way, your a friend to me.. so it has to be your choice."

hugging him back she murmered. " i have to. if i hurt anyone i know you can stop me.. im already tainted, the vampires that attacked me made sure of it. i could hurt someone.. you know it as well as i do, i cant control myself in sleep." takeng a breath she looked to the side, hateing herself as she admited. " three of them got away. that leaves three vampires that can control me when im sleeping.. i cant fight them when im like this." her shoulders droped and she let her head fall forward against his shoulder. " i dont know why, but i trust you.. i know you wont let me do anything wrong."

nodding she thought about what she could say, trying to think of anything that may help relax both of them. in the end all she could manage was to tilt her head to the side and bare her throat. " i understand.. ill be ok Vik." it wasnt so scary.. not when she knew Vik would help her.

relaxing she nodded, resting a hand on his chest to reasure him. " im sure, Vik."

winceing she rubbed her neck, closeing one eye as she fought off her memories. " not that ba.." paleing she froze for a moment, her teeth slaming together as a pain started in her neck. looking at Viktor she held a hand to his bite mark, fighting her instincts to tense up. staying relaxed she tightened her other hand in Viktors shirt. " hasnt started yet.. has it?" she had heard vampires talk about being turned before, and about how much it had hurt while their bodys had adjusted to the change. if what they said was right.. this was going to hurt like hell.
