wing1933 The lost gallifreyan The main things I want to see: -a companion that is not from earth(and more male companions at that) -a new Tardis key(i loved the ones from the classic series, the newer ones are too normal looking) -Some more classic series villains/monsters to appear -The doctor visiting Susan I would like to see a male companion on a regular basis, and maybe multiple companions for more than an episode or 2. Since they brought Sarah Jane back, maybe another "old" companion making an appearance?

He said it to Donna in "The Doctor's Daughter".
And he implied it again in "The Next Doctor" .. "to the ones we have lost" .. this obviously refers to Donna and possibly even Rose, but it can also mean his family & the other Time Lords.
He didn't say, specifically, that she was dead, BUT the implication is that there are none of his family left alive in his universe now (if, indeed, Susan was biologically related and not adopted--that was never explained). There are always possibilities, when you're dealling with something as crazy open-ended as this. Fan fic, anyone?

Now, of course, we're splitting hairs. wink I just meant to point out that pretty much anything goes in a story with cloning, progenation, time travel, alternate universes, etc. Back to the topic at hand, I agree with Prof. Song there that it would be nice to see all the romance sub-plots back on the companions. There's just been a little too much of the "looking for love in all the wrong places" with DT.

ThPriestess Oh, yeah, but it's never been stated specifically that Susan was the genetic offspring of the afore-mentioned offspring. On the topic of Susan...hm...it does bring up interesting ideas, because as far as I'd heard, the Doctor was genetically engineered (via the "Looms" Rassilon created) because of some deathbed "curse" by the previous ruler (Pythia) making the entire species sterile, which I would think would include him. It was said to only be lifted later on...
...But then there's this explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Other_(Doctor_Who) which seems odd but at the same time somewhat intriguing.

If he were genetically engineered, how can he have a human mother and a father? (The movie) _____________________________________________________ >>> <<<

faerie_ophelia knightofthe21stcentury pikalex88 Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Queen banish the Doctor from England in Tooth and Claw? I thought that was why she was freaking out, because she said he could never come back to England. I really hope we get an episode with the Master, he is too awesome to only be back for 3 episodes. It would also be kinda nice if there are no Cybermen or Dalek, we've had a lot of them in the past few seasons and I don't want this season to be more of the same. I think that was a different queen. One is from the middle ages, arond Shakespeare's time, and one is from a time when people had guns... (18/19th century?) I'm not good with years, you should ask Babara... If I remember right, it was Queen Victoria in "Tooth and Claw". They were shooed off by Queen Elizabeth I in "The Shakespeare Code". Victoria was after Elizabeth's time. A long, long time afterwards. >_< I want to see more of the Master, the REAL cybermen (as in, the ones from Mondas), and... Matt Smith in a bowler hat.

Frantic Femme Fatale I think Jenny will probably return in some way. I really would like it if the Cybermen (not the parallel universe one's we're accustomed to in the new series) show up. My mom came up with this idea. Her theory is that Professor River Song is actually Jenny after she finally does regenerate. Just an idea. whee

If he were genetically engineered, how can he have a human mother and a father? (The movie) _____________________________________________________ >>> <<<I don't think anyone out there really believes he has a human mother . . . we just explain it away by saing he was post-regen-stoned or something rofl In my FANFIC (which has no bearing on anything official, unless someday I get paid to write an ep, ha!), I have the females of Gallifrey being sterile, but not the males . . . which, of course, leads to all sorts of awkward situations, like Tegan's real reason for leaving was because she'd just discovered she was pregnant wink . I'm kinda surprized Sarah Jane had to adopt, if you know what I mean . . . I figure she was just exposed to too much radiation during her adventures to have the Doctor's baby. Again, this is all FANFIC opinions, and is worth the pixels it's typed in . . . rofl Seriously, though, I'd love to see the Doctor and River together. I'd love to see them have kids. I'm sorry we can't see DT's brain melt at the sight of a new baby. He'd utterly flip. Esp. if it were a baby girl, and she were ginger. Really. Imagine River holding out a newborn daughter to Doc 10. He'd completely lose his mind. In a good way. HOWEVER, I doubt any of that sort of domestiity really has a place in the serious business of saving the universe. I wouldn't expose a kid to that sort of danger. I mean, I love the Doctor to bits, and his hearts are in the right places, but as a custodial parent, he's sadly full of fail. Exhibit A: Earthshock Best we can hope for is an occasional cryptic reference of the "I was a dad once" sort. I'd like to see him turn down advances from other men/women/aliens with the line "Sorry, I've got someone waiting at home/at the University of Wallamaloo/in The Library for me." I'd like to see the writers play against Matt Smith's age--you know, have everyone expect him to be just a kid, but he behaves with this amazing old-soul maturity. Not have him act like an old fart, mind you, because even when he was an old fart, he didn't like being an old fart (honestly, I think he had a crush on Barbara, and just wished she could see past his outer appearance. Of course, I'm an incorrigible shipper). Dang, this post is long! mrgreen Must go write fan-fic . . .
