Zach chuckled a little bit. "Dion will always consider me weird. I can't imagine him ever thinking otherwise." Zach said with a smile as he watched Cera opened the box and pull out the doll. Zach glanced to Laura, "I'm sorry. I never got your name." He said with the same smile as before. He glanced to Dion and Cera through the corner of his eye occasionally. Cera had offered him a hug and Zach didn't know how he was going to take it. He watched him closely, hoping he didn't do anything bad.
Dion watched as she took his advice and opened the box. A smug smirk formed slightly at the edge of his lips. Of course it worked, Dion was a genius. Well...no. He wasn't but he was sure he was smarter then this girl. The doll that she pulled out disappointed Dion. Sure it was...pretty but boring pretty. It was a boring doll. Golden hair, blue eyes and, all around boring. Dion's eyes moved from the doll to Cera quickly, back and forth as he was trying to make sense of something. She held out her arms, an offer? She was offering him a hug?
Dion frowned at her, he pointed to the doll in her hand and spoke. "She's boring." He said flatly. The doll did resemble Cera some, both had blond hair and blue eyes but the bottom half of the doll had normal legs while Cera had dinosaur legs. Cera's legs were awesome, this dolls legs were not. Still, Dion had nothing else to say to this girl, he still resented her for crying and running to her mother. None the less Dion grasped her free hand and shook it in a sort an odd apology to her. He was still frowning though now it was more of a "You're welcome, don't get me in trouble again" rather then a, "I don't like you, don't look at me you cry baby"one.

"Yeah, I know..." She blinked, realizing that she never introduced herself. "Oh! I'm Laura..." And already, she'd forgotten if he ever told her his name... and even so, she couldn't remember what it was. Great.
Cera didn't noticed the smug look from Dion, just happy to have the doll. But, she didn't understand what Dion's reluctance to hug her mean... did he not want a hug from her? She understood that... she didn't liked being touched a lot.
"Yeah...though, pretty. But, also..." She stopped herself, remembering that one word getting her into trouble with the boy, so she quickly changed her statement. "She's got no tail." She pointed to the back, with the skirt pulled up and the underwear pulled down slightly to look for the tail. But there was nothing, which really confused her. She was sure that EVERYONE had tails, but that lots of people, in fact most people had short tails that could be covered by clothing. She liked her big tail, in that everyone could see it.
Though, she was happy that he wasn't so upset with her anymore, and at least held her hand and waved it up and down... though, she didn't really understand what that meant.

Zach nodded his head at her, "Pleasure to meet you and your daughter Laura." Zach said politely before looking back to the two children.
Dion wasn't sure why Cera had trailed off as she spoke. But also what? What was she going to say? Dion was curious but he didn't push for it, he didn't feel like it. It probably was nothing.
Cera proceeded to speak, pointing out that the doll had no tail and thus proving why Dion deemed it as boring. "Yeah, people like that don't got'em." Dion said with a nod as he released Cera's hand and motioned to the doll. "They don't have wings or horns or tentacles." Dion said, motioning each part with his arms. He flapped his arms up and down for wings, wiggled them out at his sides for tentacles and pointed two fingers up against his head to show horns. Dion's tail flicked about behind him as he spoke, "They're really boring. They all look a like too." Dion added as he glanced around at the kids that zoomed in and out of the science center.
Dion looked down at Cera's legs though he said nothing. "Hey." He said, looking back up to Cera with a questionable frown. "What're you?" He asked. He had met other children from the facility and though he hadn't really asked any of them what they were he decided he might as well do so now. Besides, those legs were killing him. Who had dragon legs? Dion was sure you could do a lot with a pair of those.

Laura smiled. "No, the pleasure's all mine." She wondered if he'll ever see this guy again... and if he was single. Mmm... (( Future Cera: MAAAAAM! You're embarrassing me! )) Cera looked COMPLETELY shocked by this revelation. "They don'!?" She looked at her own tail, and then at Dion. THEY both had tails! Why wouldn't the others? But, she blinked at the last thing Dion said. "Tentacles? What those?" She hadn't learned about those yet. She frowned when they were called boring, and looked at her own mother, lifting an eyebrow. "She boring?" The girl who wanted to be a superhero when she grew up when she was 14 years old? The one who sang theme songs in the shower? The one who always was dressing her up as different things from cartoons? The one who could (or, so they both thought) spoke cat? That's boring!? She blinked when he suddenly asked what he was... she had been hearing that a lot lately... so she decided to repeat what her mother would say. "Geed and Casity."

((Cera and Dion must meet up again after this PD. :3 CERA'S TOO CUTE!! X3))
"Nope." Dion said to Cera's first question, moving his head in a matter-of-fact way. When she asked her tentacle question he paused. He had seen them only on one person and he didn't like that person. "They're wiggly and mean, they grab you and smash food into your hair." Dion said with a frown, taking one step closer and slamming his right fist into his left palm. It was meant as a warning for Cera, a warning to stay away from tentacles. Sadly it looked more like a threat then anything else.
"Dion." Zach warned softly. Dion froze for a moment before glancing to Zach through the corner of his eyes. He rolled them and brought his gaze back to Cera.
Zach released a half sigh as he watched them. He looked to Laura for a moment and smiled, "Lets call it a draw. The pleasure is ours." Zach said with a nod of his head. It was corny but Zach was a corny guy. No, actually he was all out lame. Corney was perhaps the closest thing he could ever get to being funny but Laura didn't know that. Nor did Zach, he thought himself to be a funny guy. Sure he'd gained a more proper and polite manner outside of the house when Dion came to live with him and Emilie but he was still the big goofball that he was at home. He just had to set an example for Dion, lord knows no one else in the family would.
Dion glanced behind him as Cera asked if her mother was boring. Dion looked back to Cera, "Yes." He said flatly. He didn't know the woman, he hadn't spoken a word to her so for all Dion knew she was boring. Dion deemed anyone with no extra limbs or appendages boring. Emilie was exempt because she had mix matched colored skin and Zach had light blue, transparent wings. "She has no wings, no horns, no tentacles that smash food in your hair. She's boring." Dion folded his arms over his chest and nodded his head. As if he dared Cera to say otherwise, which he half did. Dion knew that he'd have said something if someone called Zach boring but Cera wasn't him so he wasn't sure if she would.
Dion deemed her boring in appearance, that was all. Zach sighed again as he watched the two children, Dion's bluntness would be the end of him one day. Sadly, Zach knew where he got it from...

(( SHE SURE IS! 83 ))
That... that was so strange to her. No tail... she just couldn't imagine life without one. It must have been VERY strange... Cera shivered a little when Dion gave his description. Firstly, Dion gave it in a very terrifying way. Secondly, that didn't seem like a description for something good. It scared her a little.
"Alright." She smiled, not realizing how corny (or lame) that was. Her own father was the grand pooba of lame and corny jokes. In fact, it seemed to attract her more. Lord knows she wasn't a good role model at all, being as serious as cheese.
Cera actually seemed freaked out at this. She was NORMAL? Then what the heck was WEIRD? When he explained it, she understood. "Yeah... she look weird, but..." She looked back at her mother, not knowing how to explain how strange the woman was.

Dion stared at Cera, waiting for her answer. "But....?" He rolled his hand around in a motion for her to go on. He opened his mouth to say something but Zach clapped his hands together and walked over to Cera. "Okay I think that's enough." Zach knew whatever Dion was about to say wasn't going to be good. best to stop him while he was ahead.
"Laura, Cera. It was lovely meeting you." He said with a nod and a smile. "Once again, I apologize for Dion's rudeness and I hope that we meet again soon...when Dion isn't in such a cranky mood." Zach said as he placed a hand on Dion's shoulder and squeezed it some. Dion frowned up at him before looking to Cera. "You should get a better doll. one that's not so boring." he said with a nod.

Cera was confused by what happened next, and wondered why the man slapped his son like that. She hoped he'd never be slapped like that. Then, she thought of something. "You Dion's Mama?" She hadn't seen any other boys other than Dion and the men at the scary place, so she hadn't learned about fathers. Ergo, in her mind, all parents were "Mamas". She frowned when Dion suggested that she'd trade in her doll, and held it closer. She was never going to let it go. Not to anyone.

((Zach didn't slap Dion, he clapped his hands together. :3))
Zach and Dion stared at Cera for a moment, surprised by her question. Zach grinned as Dion rolled his eyes. Dion opened his mouth to speak but Zach beat him to it. "No, I'm not Dion's Mama. I'm Dion's Dada." Zach said with a nod. Dion rolled his eyes again, folding his arms over his chest as if he was bored, which he was. Zach noticed how she held her doll close to her chest, Zach pointed to it with a smile. "That's a very pretty doll you have there. What's her name?" Zach asked and Dion groaned. He turned around, looking to Laura with a frown. "You should buy her a less boring doll." Dion said to her.

(( ... *DUMB RAY* XD By the way... I think the PD's about over, don't you? ))
"Oh..." She held her doll up, inspecting it, before looking up at him again. "What that mean?"
She smiled. "Thank. Don' know yet though." She played with her hair. "Just got her." Laura sighed. "She already has so many, though..." Well, Laura did, anyway. And she was always willing to share.

"Well, sometimes when people get something new they give it a name." Zach said with a slight nod. "Why?" He paused. "I'm not sure. They just do it." He said this with a shrug and a silly grin.
"Then give her another one." Dion said to her low so Cera wouldn't hear and get offended. With that he turned back to Zach who was just beginning to stand up. "Well." Zach said with a smile to the two girls. "We really should be heading off." Zach said, offering his hand to Laura in a handshake and then to Cera. "I'm sorry again for the trouble Dion caused. I hope we didn't completely ruin your visit here." Zach said this with an apologetic grin. Dion stood besides Zach silently, staring up at the ceiling and rocking back and forth on his feet looking bored.
Zach glanced to him. "I'm saying good bye because that's what cool people do. Weird and boring people don't do it because they're weird and boring." He said loudly. Once he was done Dion shoved him out of the way and offered his hand to Laura and Cera in a handshake. "Good bye." He said with a frown.
"Oh Dion! You're so cool." Zach said behind him with a smile.
