Sai shrugged. "Alright." He ate the bird and disposed of the bones elsewhere before coming back. "My name? My name is Sai. Might I ask yours?"

Ginger watched as Amelia dashed off. She shrugged it off, a life in the lowlands was one that could be lived alone, though she would like to see her some time later. She quickly tore the weasel in half, and ate her half. She didn't eat much, or often, so it was no problem leaving the rest of her kill to someone else. She stood up, shook, and trotted off, not bothering to try and find Amelia, she would look for her in a bit, right now she needed to take a nap.

Sai shrugged. "I guess although I like it that way." He looked up to the sky. "It's going to rain today." However when he said it the sun was shining down powerfully and there were no clouds in sight.

Amelia looked a tad startled at that reading of the weather. "How do you know?" she asked curious, "The weather can change quickly but I've never been able to predict it..." She looked at him a little closer, "Or are you just being pessimistic?"

Sai looked at her. "Pessimistic or not resides within what you want to believe." He looked around the area to see if other foxes were watching him. "Well let's just say that normally when one good day goes by...there is the opposite to follow." He climbed up one of the trees to get a lookout from above.

Amelia's brow wrinkled in confusion. The expression lingered a few seconds before she shrugged. She looked at Sai "Where are you going anyway?" she questioned. On the whole she rather hoped that it wouldn't rain. It stopped her from hunting and that could make things difficult. And Sai was confusing her with his rhetoric. Despite that he seemed nice enough, and he was at least company in the lonely foothills.

Sai was still looking towards the horizon. "Yep...there are clouds on the horizon. I thought I smelled something like rain." He darted back down the tree. "What do you mean?" He sat down a bit bored wondering what this fox wanted.

Amelia looked rather embarrassed. "I thought you were going somewhere...," she stated quietly, almost muttering. Then she sniffed the air. It did spell rain. Crap. Sometimes it rained for days, and she didn't have much food stocked in her burrow. "If it's going to rain I better stock up on food. I can't hunt in the rain." she said ever so slightly annoyed at the stupid weather, but glad it had been pointed out in time for her to keep herself from starvation. "Uhh," she said a little awkwardly, "Do you have a burrow around here?"

Sai noticed that she was really worried. Normally he wouldn't take other foxes in since it would slow him down. He bit his lip for a moment before looking back up to the clouds. "Well I do have a den...it's more like in a cave on the mountains, but yeah...I guess I could spare it for a while." He looked back at her. She did seem scared and it would not be fair to leave her in the rain helpless. "Alright...well follow me." He then darted off into the bushes expecting her to follow.

Amelia very nearly burst out laughing. She couldn't help but grin "No, I have a very nice burrow. I just didn't want anyone to have to stay out in the rain." She called. She looked a little worriedly at the horizon. If he didn't answer she'd just have to leave anyway. She really did need to hunt.

Sai came back with some pheasants and rabbits slung over his back. "Here you be." He sighed a bit. "I really don't care if I get caught out in the rain trying to make it back. I'm used to it. I've been training all my life to survive out in the wild since I never had a true family."

"Thank you!" Amelia said somewhat surprised. She took the food. "Umm," she said unsure of what to say to that, "I'm sorry?" She shifted her weight awkwardly. She decided to leave it at that and began to turn around slowly. "Good bye for now then, I guess. Perhaps I will see you later." With that she began to walk to her little burrow.

Sai nodded his head. "No problem." He raised an eyebrow in interest. "Sorry?" He shook his head. "It's not a problem. When one doesn't have one thing they normally make up for it in other ways." He watched as she left. "Perhaps you will. Only fate can tell." He then began to head back towards his den.
