Wynn really did seem young. Not in age but more in spirit. Wei felt a flare of brotherly affection towards this kid. Again, he sighed, running both hands through his hair. He wasn't that good with comforting others. He liked being blunt. But he couldn't really handle crying. He sat next to the kid, putting his head ontop of the other's, gently massaging it. "Okay now, hush hush. It's okay. You're new here of course you're lonely. But just give it time, it gets better. You'll make friends. I promise."

Wynn accepted the comforting hand but that doesn't mean that he took the other's words for granted. The words he said made sense, but they weren't strong enough to make him feel better or feel any less lonely. The Inuit lanced up at Wei, his mouth pulled into a sorrowful frown. His eyes were still moist, "It's hard." he mumbled, meaning the "making friends" part. His idea of friends in his village were other adults and here, there were only teachers and students, both of which didn't hold any resemblance to the weather beaten townsfolk of the Alaskan frontier. "It's different here. I don't see where start."

The brunette continued to pet the other's head, trying to not look at the kid. Tears were not his specialty. Wei looked around, really unsure of himself at the moment. Gods what he would give if Rui was here to help. "Well, you're a magic student right? There are lots of magic students here, you can start being friends like that. They're all curious and such. And many students here are friendly. All you have to do is just say hi."

The Inuk nodded his head underneath the older student's hand. He was going to begin taking classes soon now that he was settled and he looked forward to being with other people but at the same time, he was very apprehensive and distrustful. He was nervous that he wouldn't be accepted, or that people would make fun of his hands, which were peeling and gross as well as constantly sweaty. They were embarrassing to him and he forced himself to put on gloves whenever he went outside, which, in the end, didn't help his condition at all.
Leaning to the side, Wynn picked up his hot coco hand which had rolled to the side and he held it close to him, glad that it hadn't spilled, "...Mm'okay." the dark-skinned lad said softly. "Do you...know way back to dorm?"

Wei got up slowly, dusting off his clothes. He offered his hand to the younger boy. "I do. Let me take you back. Unless you wanted a tour of the island so you don't get lost again." Though he never needed one, he wasn't much of an explorer. His first year he was in his dorm, the classrooms, .....or Ry's dorm. He still had a lot of catching up to do.

Wynn shook his head in response to the other's question. He didn't think he needed another tour after the one Micajah gave him, even though that it was short and limited to what his interests and needs were. Wynn felt that now he had discovered this section of the school, he was apt to get around much better than before. Besides, if Wynn was to get lost again, so be it. He would learn something along the way. That is what lost was for, wasn't it? One gets lost because they don't know something, they're looking for knowledge. So in some shape or form, being lost as a surefire way to learning something new. In this case, Wynn's absent-minded wanderings taught him about the Science and Tech area of the school as well as introduced him to another potential friend.
"No...No," the young Inuk replied, "I like being lost. I learn. Thanks. I just want back, back to rooms."

The teen nodded slowly, not really understanding the logic. He didn't like being lost. Waste of time. "Well then I suppose I'll take you back to your dorm then." And then go for a run, because it was cold now and his workout time had been cut in half.

Wynn ignored the helping hand and pushed himself up onto his feet. With the careful dust of his clothes, Wynn bent down and picked up his travel mug that he left on the ground. He dusted it off as well and took a small sip. With a nod at his guide, the Inuk started walking in the direction back to his dorm room. It had been worth while getting lost today, Wynn thought, not only had he become more familiar with the school, but he had also met someone new. He decided then, that it was a good day to go out after all. --- End of RP ---
