If this at all helps with this thread, I've read briefly of a legend concerning Stonehenge being created by the Druids (another legend referring to Merlin), though my knowledge extends to this much. Stonehenge is, after all, known for being riddled in myths, but the true reason for its creation is unknown as of yet, this including who the actual creator was: possibly Druids, Merlin, or even Giants, as some claim.

♦ I know of an author, Juliet marilier, who wrote the Sevenwaters series, a series about a particular noble family in in Ireland during a time where the old Druids and Christianity in general were living side by side. Marilier herself belongs to a world wide organization of modern druids. (or so the about the author section of her books would have me believe.)
Now in her seven waters series certain holiday rituals were preformed. In these rituals actually deities were called upon for this or that standard reason (more rain, make him love me tell my dead grandma i wish her well etc) The druidic theme was so strong in this series that it lead me to believe that the irish druids at the very least had and still have a pantheistic religion but here the thing is it/was it the same in other countries where one might find a native druid such as scottland or part of ye old england (brittion)? ♦

Thanks for reviving the thread, both of you! 3nodding
Yeah, Stonehenge is still a big mystery and who knows if it's ever gonna get solved. I had never even heard about Druids being involved in there somehow. eek
That's funny cuz I hadn't heard of Juliet Marilier till now. I wonder if those Seven Waters series are gonna be made into movies like Harry Potter, he-he.
They sound quite interesting so I guess it wouldn't be a stretch for that to happen, right Wolf Silver?
