Miranda sighed deeply, smiling as Andrew dropped to his usual post at the computer. "Agreed" she laughed, shifting her eyes between her comrades. "I would like to know if we actually got the Rock.... because I was in too much of a rush to get away to check in with you guys." Her question said she moved to join Andrew at the desk, "We were worried about you." she offered of the youngest of them. She ruffled his hair affectionately, having always seen their little genius as a brother.

Silence hung over Alex for some time as she watched first Miranda and then Andrew come through the door. Finally, after Andrew had inquired as to what they would do and knowing they would be waiting to hear from the leader. Alex was a perfectionist, she refused to let such a failure hang over her. Knowing that her fellows were safe she forced herself straight back into work mode. Glancing over at Andrew as he booted up his computer, Alex moved over to her table, where her plans were always laid out. Moving some books and papers she slammed both hands roughly on the table, mostly to grab the others' attention. She didn't bother moving into her bedroom to change into some else, she wanted to get things done now.
"First things first, we need to figure out what went wrong." Her bright gaze shifted to Miranda with that ferocious intensity that seemed so common for her. "Don't blame yourself, Miranda. We are all at fault, myself moreso than anyone else. But we don't linger on our failure, we analyze it and fix it. Something went wrong tonight, something we had not accounted for. I refuse to leave that ruby untouched. It will be ours, but first we have to figure out where we went wrong."
Her adament tone and rather dedicated manner was what usually seemed to win over the others. There was always a sparkle of pure joy in her bright eyes whenever she spoke of their next job. In this case they would be doing the same job as before though she had no intention of failing it this time around. Focusing herself, Alex bore her eyes around the room at the others, pausing at each in turn.
"Andrew what happened with our surveillance? Miranda? I'm thinking we need to find a better way of drawing attention from the rest of us. And I think we need to perhaps work on some sort of escape routine, in case things go bad again. Alerion? Any idea where we might get ahold of some sort of smoke screen or knock-out gas?" Her mind was working in overdrive now, thinking through every scenario. She took in what she knew from the night and was working around it, trying to derive a new plan from what she now knew. Into this equation in her mind she would be added the information from the others, working it out to the final plan for their most difficult and most rewarding job yet.

Andrew watched as Miranda walked towards him, "She's going to rub my hair again isn't she..." He let out a soft sigh while she expressed her concern for his late arrival. After she finished with his hair, he looked up at her smiling with only the left half of his mouth and shrugged. He didn't much like being treated like a kid, but for all intents and purposes he still was a kid. No matter how long 18 years felt he still had the social experience of a 6-year-old. Because of that he felt he demanded somewhat...less respect from the rest of his peers. Andrew's train of thought was cut short when Alex slammed her hands on her table. "Looks like I wasn't the only one being a noob." He thought to himself as Alex started to explain. Her tone demanded his attention, his parents were such pushovers compared to Alex. As he listened to her, his eyes started focusing off to the distance. "I wonder what I would've been like if I'd grown up with her."His eyes snapped back into the present situation after he heard his name. His job was surveillance but that was the hardest hack he'd ever encountered. He could hacked the Pentagon main frame twice in his life time both times completely untraceable, but this was a completely different story. Alright, about tapping the cameras. I'd pretty much need life hax in order to do it undetected. They're information and video feeds have all gone wireless so I can't just jack in somewhere out of the way, and all of there systems are on an Ad-hoc network instead of an infrastructure so I can't connect without setting off the silent alarm. What'd I'd need to do is get to the access point for there systems and hook my laptop directly into it, reset it, and give myself administrative privileges. Then I could see everything they see without being detected." His mind was going over the problems that could occur in this option. There were a lot, and if any of them did happen it would mean he would be discovered and security would know exactly where he was.

While Ellie was out, Delphi really did get some work done. Once she started she usually read thrings through pretty fast. She had a of files on each side of her desk. However she herself was sitting in a small couch she had put in her room. Sometimes sleeping at the office when there were much to do, she preferred sleeping in the couch.
Just as Ellie came in, she had finished reading one of the last ten files and put it down on the floor. As the coffee was offered to her she looked up and gave a brief smile to the girl, taking the coffee. "Thanks." Sipping on it silence she glanced out the window before saying anything. Another moment of thought went by before she said; "Hey Ellie... what do you think they are doing now?" Looking back at the girl Delphi added, "The thieves I mean. Since this was an obvious screw up for them as well..." The young ex-con had a thoughtful frown on her otherwise rather smooth face as she sat curled up in the couch, taking another sip of the hot coffee.
Having used to think in the ways of a criminal herself, it was no surprise to her that she was wondering what the thieves were trying to think of now. Obviously, no matter if failure or success, there was always a job after that or a fixing that had to be done. However, these were just Delphi's guesses and thoughts.

lerion listened as Alex spoke quickly to each of them. She asked him if he knew of a way to get a type of smoke screen or some knock out gas. He walked to his bedroom and typed in his password to the keypad on his closet door. As the door opened, he quickly removed a case from the closet and closed the door; the keypad beeping to confirm that it was securely locked. He walked back into the living room with the case and set it on the table that Alex was making her plans. He popped open the case to reveal a grenade launcher and many different grenades and canisters. Picking up one of the canisters, he looked at the metallic surface of it, tossing it up and down in his hand before setting it on the table in front of Alex. "This one here is a normal smoke grenade. I do not generally use the grenade launcher for such a purpose, so I don't have many of the smoke grenades. I have other smoke-like grenades, like this one," He picked up another one from the case and set it on the table, only this time with more caution. "This is a white phosphorus grenade. It catches fire when the phosphorus touches the outside air and it burns with a yellow flame, but it also produces a dense white smoke. As for the knock-out gas, I'm sorry but I do not have anything like that."

Miranda nodded, easing onto the desk slowly, "I agree. As much as I enjoyed flashing a little thigh and flipping my hair at these creeps... I think something more effective is in order." she voiced, tucking vibrant red locks behind her ears thoughtfully. She may be versed in the ways of distraction... but devising new strategies just wasn't Miranda's forte. Al's words leaked into her mind quickly. "I'm sure the PD has some knock-out gas... why don't we invest in a minor heist to steal some of theirs?"

((I'm posting for Felix here)) Aidan sat quietly in his office, the door was shut and the blinds closed so that the only light illuminating the small room was from the lamp on his desk. He sighed quietly, not many got away from him... but tonight four thieves had managed to escape. He shifted his feet on the desk and leaned back, his chair reclining to let him stare at the ceiling in a mix of confusion and disappointment.
On the other hand, these guys were good if they could escape someone as seasoned as the near legendary Detective Aidan Reynolds. And for all that he was worth and accredited to... he only knew the identity of one of the criminals. He had pegged the red-head as suspicious from the start... giving the guards flirty gazes and patronizing giggles. And then one by one his guards disappeared and didn't return, nor did they answer their walkies. He should have radioed for back up as soon as the third guard went MIA... but he had been over-confident. He was certain everything was under control.
When the red-head made her pass at him he'd played along nicely, admiring her ability to get the many guards before him to follow her into the empty mezzanine. He also was disappointed that all eight of them had been stupid enough to abandon their post for a quick romp in the closet with a sexy red-head... so he had followed, hoping she'd lead him to his men.
After that, the night went downhill. His grip on his gun hardened and the metal casing creaked only slightly beneath his grip, "Damn it." he cursed aloud, enraged at his ego.
His reputation told the rest of the force he got things done, and he didn't need the back up. But tonight was a huge mistake. The red-head would definitely see him again, and when she did she'd regret making him for a fool.

Alex slowly nodded as she heard the others, each in turn, speak of what she demanded. Though she didn’t always understand the full extent of what Andrew said – mostly because that was his area of expertise, not hers – she still knew the difficulty of what he had explained by the expression on his face. The calculating stare, the set of his jaw, it all pointed to something that left her uncomfortable but also backed into a corner. Alex did not like being backed into a corner.
“All right,” she finally said, once each had said their piece. “Andrew, whatever you need, we’ll get it. Whatever help you need, recon, back-up, look-out, I’ve got you. I want you to get into their network. You’re our fly-on-the-wall, so to speak. I want you to be a ghost. Get in, get linked, but don’t let them catch you. I don’t want this to turn into some kind of gun fight and I refuse to let any one of you get caught.” The finality of her tone made it clear that, should this turn bad, she was beyond willing to take the fall if it meant she could help the others escape. She was a smart woman but her loyalty outweighed that by far. If she had to take it all she would, and no amount of time with the police would ever make her talk. She was as stubborn as she was loyal.
Her bright eyes glanced up as Alerion brought the case to her table, her body pulling away from it slightly as she folded her arms over her chest, waiting for the little show. She nodded as he explained things, eyes focused on the canister but distant at the same time. It was clear her mind was already laying out the plan. “Whatever makes us invisible, Alerion. If we need a quick escape – and I know we will – I want to make it impossible for them to find us. Can you carry those with you? Are you able to set them off in a matter of seconds, without a launcher?” She had to know these things for what she had planned. It would be tough and there wouldn’t be much room for error, but in the end she had a good feeling that beautiful, tempting ruby would be in their hands and the four of them would go down in history for the greatest heist to ever be pulled…and never caught for it.
Turning at last to Miranda, Alex grinned slightly. “I’m sorry, Miranda, but I think we may have to pull in some outside sources. We need a bigger and better distraction, one that it more subtle and harder to see for what it is. I’m not sure yet, but I know we’ll need to find some help on this one. We’ll have to keep in need-to-know, of course, but you and I can discuss details later.” Her mind was swirling with so many thoughts that Alex thought she might faint. She let her body push against her table once more, arms still folded over her chest as her eyes drifted to the window once more. “We need more time to plan this out, time to let the pigs get comfortable before we strike. I want them to think we’ve moved on, maybe do a few smaller heists to throw them off the trail. When we hit them, we’ll hit them hard. They won’t know what’s happened until we’re long gone.” She turned her gaze over the other three and that delighted look took her, lighting up her features with the kind of joy she only got from pulling big jobs. There simply wasn’t any greater thrill than the careful planning and execution of a heist, especially when everything fell perfectly into place.

Ellie offered Delphi a weary smile and sighed, leaning against the ex-con's work bench and taking a spit of her coffee. There was a silence between the two that explained neither of them needed to say anything. Though, when Delphi did speak, ad grimace slowly made it's way onto Ellie's face - not that she hated the woman or anything, but the notion of the topic she'd bought up hadn't been a very pleasent one, and probably never would be. With a grown, Ellie could feel her temper coming to its end already, even though that had been absurdly fast. Taking a feep breath and ruffling her own hair, Ellie let out a grown and took a deep breath to calm herself down.
"I wouldn't like to think about the answer to that, but whatever it is it can't be good. Those shadows can't be knocked down by something as simple as that, noooo way, no no way. And if my intuition says so, it can't be wrong. I don't trust them - those theives. They're planning something, and something big - I can tell. I'll bet ya they'll try to strike that heart again... that's for sure. The problem is... we just don't know anything about them. ARG! This is all just so... so!"
Groaning again and messing her hair like crazy again, she streched her arms into the air until her body felt find again and sighed, running her fingers through her hair to straighten the slightly mussed strands up again. After some more silence and the minature girl felt composed once more, she sighed (and that's all she ever seemed to be doing lately) and glanced over at Delphie on the couch. "I'm gonna go give the cheif his coffee before it gets cold." Turning then, she took another drink of her coffe and picked up another cup that had been specially marked.
Delpihe knew that Ellie bore no ill will. Even if that was the way she acted, the girl simply had a short temper and she knew that, but it was remarkable how she could be under working conditions. They didn't chuck her into the special unit for nothing... but then again - having being placed here also brought up a few questions didn't it? Knocking on the closed door, there was a moment's pause before Ellie calmly asked "Cheif? Can I come in? I have some coffe here to ease up a little." After getting the go ahead, Ellie opened the door and blinked a few times as her eyes readjusted to the dimmer lighting within the detective's office.
Closing the door behind her she moved over to the man's table and offered him the coffe cup much like she had to Delphie, only it seemed her stance held much more respect. Of course, it was the legendary Detective Aidan Reynolds. He was both an object of admiration and respect.

A slash of light illuminated Aidan's form in his chair as Ellie, one of his subordinates, entered with his evening coffee. His eyes flew shut and he groaned aloud as his eyes struggled with the sudden light and darkness. He dropped his feet back to the floor and sat up in his chair to stare at the girl, "Thank you." he offered, taking the cup carefully from her hands. Carefully he inhaled the coffee, letting the aroma clear the fog from his head. Without taking a sip he set the mug on his desk and stared at it for a long moment, "How do you catch smoke?" he asked, lifting his piercing gaze to the rookie of his unit. He wouldn't let her leave until she had come up with a suitable answer to his question, and he seriously hoped she would realize that quickly. And of course, she would know he was referring to the heist that would make or break his reputation.

Miranda nodded quickly, "Of course. And with that Detective on my a**... well, lets say I don't wanna be out after dark for a little while." She mentally slapped herself, she'd said too much. None of the OTHERS had had their faces seen clear as day by any of the LEOs... she gritted her teeth, she'd been sloppy. "Before anyone else calls me on it... I was seen, clear as day... by the only man I didn't manage to knock out. And before anyone asks... it was who you think it was... sadly." she sighed, rubbing her face and glancing at her comrades... associates. "... although since he knows who I am already, it couldn't hurt to keep MY face in the front running of the investigation. Let me be seen more often, just doing anything."Quickly she sprung from the table, "Not a distraction. A decoy. IF that detective knows my face, the CCTV at ANY bank and government building will catch me... effectively putting the dogs on my trail and leaving you guys free to do whatever. I'd get arrested if I had to, just to make them think they got something."When she came to her sense she blushed, "Uh... assuming it fits into the grand scheme of things."
