Julius ran outside as fast as he could. When he got outside he fell to his knees he threw his arms out and looked up at the sky "Thank you Father! and thank you God! Thank you everyone!" He exclaimed. He then got up and ran over to Cassie. "Thanks for finding the way out" he said as he hugged her.

"ahah!" Cassie exclaimed when he hugged her. "no problem." she wheezed.

As Julius let go of Cassie he said "I'm sorry was a squeezing you too hard?" He sat down on the ground and laughed.

"a little, but nothing compared to those straps." she replied. Cassie looked around, finally accustomed to the light. "so.... what do we do now?" she asked.

Julius Laughed "Yeah those straps sucked. But who knows what we will do now? It's a new day." Said Julius.

Cassie nodded and inhaled deeply. "it smells so good out here she said, walking around, her eyes closed. she outstretched her arms and felt the sun soak into her skin.

Julius Yawned and fell asleep on the ground.

Cassie saw a plane over head. she laughed, the world was still the same! smoke was ejected out of the turbine engines and the plane rocked back and forth. Cassie's eyes grew large with worry. she rushed to Julius and shook him. "hey! look!?" she whispered pointing to the plane. the nose was now pointing straight at the ground and it crashed into the ground a mile and half away. Cassie screwed her eyes shut as it blew up. "oh my gosh! we should go see if there are any survivors!" she said, jumping up and pulling on Julius's arm.

Half asleep and in a daze he followed Cassie to the plane crash "Hey I haven't slept in two days I'm tired." Said Julius.

"oh," Cassie let go of his hand. "Well, i'm going to look for survivors." she informed him. running toward the the blazing plane.

Cassie approached the burning plane. the heat was almost unbearable, but she inched closer. the door was crunched and she was able to wrench it off. she poked her head inside and saw two bodies, they were moving but they looked like they had been dead for a long time. they were leaning over two people and Cassie realized that they were going to eat them. she jumped in and somehow, immediately knew what to do. her wings flared out and her nails turned razor sharp and long and she tore the first one's head off. she spat blood out of her mouth and converged onto the second one, dealing the same damage. then she found those who still had a heartbeat and and lugged them out of the plane. after she was done, she collapsed onto the soft green grass someways away from the plane and fell asleep.

after sleeping on the ground for 3 hours Julius woke up and was a little sore. "Man sleeping on gravel sucks! I'm not doing that again." Said Julius as he stood up. "Hey where did Cassie go?" He asked himself. He thought for a while and then he said "Oh yeah, she went to go check for survivors in that one plane that crashed not too long ago. I should probably go find her." Then Julius walked over to the area where the plane crashed and searched for Cassie.

Cassie woke up to a setting sun. she laid back down after a wave of lightheadedness engulfed her. when it passed she sat back up and looked around her. she saw some of the people she had saved from the plane milling around, helping each other. she got up and looked for Julius. he wasn't in the same place as he was before when he was sleeping but that was to be expected. Cassie wondered how long she had been out.

As soon as Julius got to the plane he saw that no one was there, not even Cassie. "Ah dammit!" he exclaimed. "Now i gotta walk ALL the way back to where i was to see if she went to look for me!" he yelled as he walked back to where he was sleeping. About half way there he said "I'm soooooo tired, i think i'll lie down for a moment." he then sat down, then he fell asleep.
