Amelia looked back ahead as the town loomed nearby. She checked the tip of her lance, then gulped and steadied her nerves. Things would go fine. With any luck, they could get to his shop and back without any trouble.
And my head will sprout wings and fly me back to Magvel.

Nils closed his eyes briefly. "Hm... Yeah, they're really close. If I had to guess a distance away... two-hundred feet away from the first. They're starting to spread a bit, though..." His eyes opened again, and he unhooked his flute from his belt.
"Get ready, guys."

Amelia held her lance at her side, nodding as she shifted a little more to the side. "All right... time to fight." She held back a sigh and kicked away some snow near her shin. She let out a long breath, the exhale condensing in the air. She tensed her stance, watching warily.

Sword already in hand and ignoring who just spoke, Ashnard charged forward at a great speed considering the heavy armor he wore. It was obvious that he had a bloodlust just from thinking about the inevitable battle.

It was not what they expected.
They expected Mauthe Doogs and Mogalls, perhaps.
They did not expect the bodies of those who had been killed by the monsters to reanimate and suddenly burst up through the snow. One horrible, clawed hand grabbed at Nils' ankle and tugged hard, trying to pull him under as other Revenants began to climb up, their skin blackened by frostbite, and they began to drag themselves toward the group on top of the sturdy snow. It was supporting them well enough as it was, but with all this shifting beneath it, its integrity was weakening.
Somewhere ahead of them, a rumble under the snow manifested itself as several large lumps that began to move toward the group. If they had been paying attention to that poor Mauthe Doog earlier, they'd know what that meant.

Nils let out a sound of surprise as a hand grabbed at his ankle.
The sound turned into a scream when he realized the hand was trying to pull him under the snow. With his free foot, he frantically kicked at the hand, trying to break free of the surprisingly-strong grip.
"Let... go!!"

Renault jumped back in shock as the creatures began to claw their way from the ground. This was. . . disgusting, and unholy. . . the bodies of the dead were being desecrated to use as weapons. The bishop said a silent prayer for these poor souls, wishing the blessing of St. Elimine upon them, then spun towards the nearest and unleashed a bolt of Divine light upon it. Due to his Slayer skill, this creature did not fall back; it simply vanished, leaving behind only a sprinkling of dust that floated down to mar the pure white surface of the snow.

Amelia leaped up in shock at the sound of so many Revenants bursting out of the snow. She brandished her lands and stabbed at the zombie that was attempting to drag the poor Nils under the snow. There were a lot of them coming, and only a small amount of them. Hopefully they would have enough firepower.
"Everyone watch out! Their claws are sharp!" Amelia said loudly for the other five to hear.

"******** OFF OF KAORU!" The Fire Dragon tore out the Revenant out of the ground after Amelia stabbed it and began to maul the grimy reanimated hand that touched Nils and, with breathes of the occasional Flametongue until all that was left of the corpse was dust. He let out a roar that could pierce even the blizzard.

Although not that far away from the group, he had enough distance to not be of help to any of them. But at this point in time, it didn't matter, for some more enemies revealed themselves around him. Thinking quickly, Ashnard cleaved the visible body parts of the undead soldiers, rendering them either headless, hand-less, or armless.
