While I am disappointed in his choice, I'm glad he's reaching out to the other side. One issue with the two party system of this country is that is often tears people apart. Obama said something along the lines of "This is not a liberal America or conservative America. This is the United States of America." Glad he's trying to bring people together instead of completely ignoring the other side.

Dumb question, as I've long since ignored most "versions" of the Christian Bible --- what does NCV stand for? I know about NIV (New International Version) and KJV (KIng James Version), and the New American Standard...but that doesn't fit any of them....

PhaedraMcSpiffy Hmm... maybe it is smart to try to include the other side, but this side is all about excluding people. Which is why we have to be the bigger people. :3

The most irritating part for me is where he has the audacity to assume marriage is an abrahamic tradition. Shamanism is something like 5000 years older than judaism and they had marriage, almost all civilizations had a ritual along the lines of marriage, and yet when I see right wing christians claiming dominion over it it pisses me the ******** off.
When I get married it won't be in a church because of that reason. Congratulations right wing christians here's another person who wants your influence so far away from my marriage I'll keep religion out altogether. rolleyes
