A tall, thin figure in a dark green robe strode through the chaos of the storm. He knew it would get worse very soon, so he strode towards a place of safety. He, unlike the other mysterious robed people that had been moving through the area recently, did leave footprints. He may be strange, but he was still definately mortal.
As he walked towards a group of fleeing villagers, a Mogall hovered into his line of sight, but had it's back to him. It began casting it's profane spell, intent on causing harm to the innocents. This, the man could not stand.
His hand flew out of his robes, and he withdrew a tome of light magic. He began speaking in eldritch words, and as he completed the spell, he spoke in a monotone voice, "You shall burn under Elimine's holy fire." He fired the spell.
The withered husk of the monster fell to the ground, utterly destroyed under his assault. He walked past the townspeople, and towards the FEFGA house. As he walked in, he set down an Elfire tome, to give it to the one known as Melethia, and he withdrew a Mend staff to heal the wounded, and he used a fire tome to start a roaring fire, and to warm Amelia. He began to speak, also in a monotone voice.
"My name is Bramimond. Long ago, I helped to defend this land, and I have been away for far too long. You have my strength, to use as you see fit. We shall retake this land."
Even as he approached the warriors, he could feel their minds pressing in on his. His experimentations with Dark magic had left his mind shattered, and he knew that the closer he got, the more of himself he would lose. Losing his individuality is worth it, though, in order to protect the ones he cares about. He already lost his love. He would not lose any more lives.

Merlinus bustled out of the kitchen with a tray of hot cocoa mugs, which he set on the coffee table. "Here, everyone, you all must be freezing..." He answered the door for the next group that had managed to stagger back to Fefga's, then rushed off to the kitchen again to see what he could whip up for the no-doubt hungry warriors.
Tibarn never strayed too far from where Ayra was resting on the couch, and eventually he settled, sitting down on the floor and leaning back against the sofa. He waved at Lyre, silently thanking her for bringing down more blankets.

Soren was bunched up in a corner, hugging the Warp staff and the tome to his chest, blood splayed across his sleeves and the fabric around his ankle. His eyes wore the same vacant expression as they did during the worst occasions, seeming not to acknowledge anyone in the room, his focus fixed on the ground. He was still shivering.

Marshmallow Kitty "A-As for what happened... I'm not sure," Amelia said, now able to actually articulate her thoughts without sounding like a stuttering drunkard. "There were a-all those Mauthe Doogs, and then Mogalls appeared, and then that b-blizzard... like something r-ripped right out of someone's i-idea of Hell," she told Tibarn. Amelia snugly covered her toes, which had been exposed for a few moments, and paused before taking off her water-soaked boots. They weren't doing anything to warm her up. If anything, they made things worse. Blossom, who seemed to have gotten to the house before the blizzard began, ran down the stairs as people arrived in throes. "What's going on? You all look like popsicles!" she half-shouted. Blossom ran over to the stack of blankets where Lyre stood, sniffling and sneezing, and tugged one out to hand to Alihi. She then moved to get one for Anna as well.Tibarn frowned. "Yeah, but... where the hell did they all come from? And where's Nino?" His brow furrowed. He'd heard something about Nino, but he had been a little too busy with Ayra to pay much attention.

Alihi smiled weakly. "Thanks, Blossom..." Carefully, she unbundled Leaf from her cloak and took the blanket from Blossom. She then rebundled the child in the blanket. The smile grew a bit stronger after the task was complete, and she wandered over to hang up her cloak, which was partly soaked due to the snow.
She looked to the newcomer, Bramimond. Memories rushed back to her, from her days as a tactician. Reluctantly, she shook them off for now: at the moment, they lacked importance.

Blossom looked nervously over at Soren. He really looked a wreck, holding onto that staff and book like they were a lifeline in this wailing inferno of wind and ice. She removed one of the thick, soft blankets from the rapidly-diminishing pile and draped it around his narrow shoulders. "That help?" she asked curiously, keeping her voice down for once. "Want some cocoa? That could help. Warm you up and calm you down."
Amelia's eyes scanned over to the newcomer curiously, but she stayed where she was sitting. Her boots were drying near the fireplace -- far enough away to stay out of the range of any pops or sparks, of course -- and she was comfortably warming up by now. "We can't retake it 'till this storm has died down a little... we'd all turn to icicles if we spent more than a couple minutes out there. Nils or Ninian could be an exception, but that's a stretch..." Amelia looked back at the flickering fire.
"She got taken," Amelia said quietly. "I didn't arrive soon enough to know exactly what happened. I do know she's not here, it's got to be something with whatever sent all those beasts of Formortiis after us. Maybe he's trying to get a ransom from us... Or he wants to trade her for someone... Or he's after her and he's keeping us out, I don't know..."

Anna blinked at Blossom. "Uhm... a blanket?" She looked at it for a second, then accepted it. "Thank you! But I don't really need it... I'm not very cold. I'll find someone to share it with then!" She twirled, then noticed Soren sitting by himself and immediately rushed over to squat next to him. "Hi! You look lonely!" She smiled up at Blossom, too. "If you need some help with that I'm not doing anything!"

(Thanks Nils. Feel free to use the Fire Dragon however you see appropriate when I'm not around.)
"Kaoru, you must be freezing to death after all that! Let me warm you." The Fire Dragon blew a very light stream of fire so as to provide a momentary pseudo-campfire.

For one moment, Soren had a violent convulsion when his eyes acknowledged movement. But when he glanced up to see it was merely a friend he relaxed. Soren hesitated, then shakily put down the tome and staff, clutching the blanket around himself with a thankful expression. He shuddered once more though his tongue seemed frozen. Soren attempted a 'thank you' twice before giving up on speaking. Instead, the mage nodded to Blossom.
It was then Soren also acknowledged their guest, his attention traveling to Brammimond as he tightened his hold on the blanket. He jumped when a girl plopped down by him.

(( Same to you with Nils. ))
Nils smiled. "Thank you, Hikaru... I was a bit cold, but it wasn't too bad... I was more worried about you."

Blossom frowned and knelt down next to Soren. She still wore her skirt, pants, sweater, and jacket, and by now she was quite toasty, especially with all the fire. "Are... you okay?" she asked. She paused. "No, stupid question. Are you going to be okay? What's wrong, exactly? Still cold?" She put a hand on his shoulder, trying to make him feel better.

Anna looked at blossom and Soren for a second, then pouted. "Aww," she muttered to herself. "Everybody else is talking to people." She wandered over and sat by the door. Maybe somebody else would come in that she could talk to.

Soren put the blanket to his nose in an attempt to keep it warm. He numbly nodded, though his gaze spoke of fear. When the bright-haired girl stood and left, he frowned a bit, but his voice refused to work.

(Great! We should have thought of this MUCH sooner xd )
"Oh Kaoru..." Fire Dragon gazed into Nils' eyes, " thank you so much... But, you're more important to me than even myself. So long as I can breathe fire, you shall never be cold..."

Blossom frowned at Soren's actions, pursing her lips. "...Really... what's wrong? I can't help if you're mute!" She flopped down onto her butt and pulled her legs against her chest, staying near Soren. Something was obviously wrong, and if she started to help, she should continue helping. "I want to help. Really. I do. But you gotta talk to me!"
