Not welcome? Even when she asked for it? How could such beautiful and intelligent and fascinating people be so cruel? So unfired with no propriety, not caring who they injure with their clever way of hiding and then revealing the truth?
Kouyo slumps against Setsushi and continues to weep. Perhaps Kumoru can still redeem himself. Kouyo has to hope for that much, at least....

...Setsushi doesn't quite follow that last outburst, but he folds Kouyo in his arms gently. Perhaps he will. Indeed, perhaps... he was asking for Kouyo's help? Setsushi is just grasping at straws, but...
... Kouyo can stay home today, if he is sure that he will be safe. Then perhaps tomorrow, or the next day if Kouyo needs it, Setsushi can go to work with him so that he will feel safe, and Kouyo can talk to the human mage?

Kouyo gasps and sobs, trying to calm down, but is still clearly in pain. He at least tries to pull himself together enough to make sure he does not hurt Setsushi as well.
He still needs time to think. If he wants to fix things between them, then Kouyo must talk to the human himself.... He cannot make Setsushi fix all of his problems.

As much time as Kouyo needs...
... that is what Setsushi would like to give him, but he fears that if Kouyo really wishes to keep the possibility of friendship open with the human, Kouyo needs to act quickly before bad feelings between them solidify and become irreparable.
But Setsushi will lend Kouyo his support. This is indeed something Kouyo must do himself, but Setsushi can still give his reassurance and protection...

Kouyo will go tomorrow, then, once this pain has had time to fade. And perhaps...
Perhaps today, when he has calmed himself down, Kouyo can work more on finding out the answer to Setsushi's question, from so long ago. He promises he is still working on finding the meaning in his visions, it is just taking him a little longer.
The High Priest finally quiets down, but holds onto Setsushi for a few more moments. He is sorry his friend must see him sick all the time like this. Kouyo will do his best to get better so he can better repay Setsushi's infinite patience with him....
