"Okay," she agreed, shifting the box about in her arms. Bright green eyes scanned the room, looking for people-- Oh! There's the blue prince from daycare -- and finding a fairly deserted part of the bleachers. "Over there?" Risking the present falling to the ground- it wasn't that it was fragile, it just would get all tangled and icky inside- she pointed to the area she meant.

Carlisle, meanwhile, having ascertained that the neighbor girl whose name, he was sure, started with an E, ended up drifting towards Ophelia and Casca. "Happy holidays," he said, gingerly setting down the gift near the bleachers. He didn't want to get stabbed or anything. Looking back over the group of people filtering inside, he added, "You guys look nice." He had argued his aunt down from the suit he wore to family parties and into a red dress shirt and black slacks, which he was glad for. "Do you mind if I sit with you?"

Heaven knew he certainly wasn't going to go roaming about, not with the gift he had for this Kaeden kid.

Casca had immediately brightened on seeing Carlisle: attempted to keep the faint, chic air of ennui as well, but couldn't help but immediately seem a little more alert, patting the seat next to him so that he would be bracketed by both Carl and Ophelia. "C'mon, sit, mon ami," he said, "you don't clean up half bad yourself."

He leant back on the bleachers. Ophelia was there: it was a safe time to make a better overture as a friend, he thought, so that if it all went wrong he could try to reverse back out of it, just in case Lisle didn't actually want to hang out with him. Worst came to worst, he could use Phels as a distraction. "You know you can always sit over my way anyway," he said, "I mean -- "

Unfortunately, bursting in on his awkward beginning, Wisp Darnell immediately jumped up on the bleachers: with a "Ho ho ho! Merry rad Christmas!" she immediately reached out to grasp Carlisle's hand. "I've been looking for you for all of five minutes it was a long time. Can I steal him?"

The blonde teenager looked winsomely-not waiting for an answer, turned to Carl instead. "Yes? Yes? Wicked cool. Mer-ry Christ-mas to Car-lisle. Can I just drag you off for a couple seconds?"

Joshua smiled and nodded, "Alright," He said, careful to not shake up the present for Nef. He set it carefully on the bleachers as he sat. His eyes kept veering to it. He didn't want anyone bumping it.

Kaimi grinned at Maddy. "Yeah, I got Chris. He's the big one over there, by Antony. I had a heck of a time figuring out a final gift for him." She was peering around the gym and spotted Ophelia and Casca and, for a second Carlisle before he got dragged away, on the other side. She gave them a cheery, inviting wave before turning back to Maddy. "Who did you get?" The christmasy spirit finally seemed to be claiming Kaimi, who was starting to get excited about presenting Chris with his final gift.

Neflheim held the box in his hands carefully, making sure he was cautious with it. Midas had instructed him to bring the nicely wrapped box to the party to give to little Ginger. Knowing what was inside, Neflheim secretly hoped the girl would be happy to receive her presents. While they didn't cost much, he did spend a fair amount of time, together with Midas, to prepare them.

Ophelia blinked at the suddenly-intruding blonde girl who had just attached herself to Carlisle. She looked terribly familiar, just... so much older. Wait a second...

"Wisp?" she asked, leaning around Casca. Eclectic fashion sense? Check. So that was where her friend had run off to after their adventures in Urbanie. Had her hair always been so light? "What happened to your hair?"

"Thanks," Carlisle had started to say (with a smile!) but out of nowhere was the crazy girl from art class, or was it the crazy girl? she looked older or something which was not quite as disturbing as it might have been. He gave Casca and Ophelia a look that said quite clearly what drugs is she on, please save me or surely I will explode, but apparently no was not an answer so he said, "Ah, yes? Um... I guess I'll be back, could you keep an eye on that bag, please?" Because he took it with him he did not doubt he would get impaled on it.

Elizabeth sat down and set the heavy box down gratefully. "Who's your secret santa," she asked cheerfully, looking down at the gift. "You're bein' real careful with his present, he must appreciate it!"

Wisp had let out sort of an air-siren squeal at Ophelia -- she had reached forward to give her a one-armed hug, with an "oh my GOD you're cute tonight," before she pulled back and gave her the thumbs-up. "Bleach," she said, "decidedly awesome, yes? Oh my gosh Phelly you and I are going to spend the time talking, okay? Once I bring back Carlisle I am stealing you! I'm so sorry I didn't talk to you sooner -- it is annoying being a grown-up."

She reached forward to touch Ophelia's cheek briefly and cheerfully in greeting, and then pretty much dragged Carlisle down off the bleachers, picking up another present she had left there. Casca gave something of a sigh as he saw them both leave.

"Is she always full on like that?" he said.

After walking through the gymnasium doors with two neatly wrapped boxes tucked under his arms, Lucien found himself lingering awkwardly in the corner of the brightly decorated room, his eyes watching the door warily. The room was filled with unfamiliar faces that caused him unease; it wasn't that he thought they were bad people, he just didn't know them and therefore didn't feel comfortable with them. Sliding down the wall into a sitting position, he watched the various conversations with vague interest and placed his two presents before him casually with a smile.

Chris finished his plate of food and crumpled the trash into a ball, tossing it into the nearest trashcan and getting a few dark looks as it passed over well dressed people. "So who are you looking for?" he asked Antony, since the teenager was still just standing there.

"A fellow named Merroth," Antony said calmly, watching with amusement as Chris's expression went dark. So Missy hadn't been lying about Chris's dislike of the other boy. Fascinating. "Do you know him?"

"He doesn't deserve a Christmas gift," Chris growled. "He's annoying."

"I see," Antony said, not really agreeing or disagreeing. "Who are you here for?"

"Rhye," Chris said, cheering up at the reminder. "She should be here sooner or later."

Kisala was determined to enjoy Christmas this year. Ajiiel had finally gotten big enough to stop trying to bite her, after all, and that was a huge plus. Besides, this Christmas party was for Patch kids only, nobody else. So, she got to actually be -away- from her sister for a while and not have to worry about being attacked by fireworks or something.

And so, the brunette entered the gym and looked around, straightening the skirt of her dress. It was something she was particularly proud of-- she'd found it herself, after all, picked it out. All white with little silver sparkles throughout that made her look a bit like a gigantic snowflake. Or at least, that's the impression -she- thought it gave off.

A small frown lit her lips as she looked around, though. She didn't particularly recognize anybody, though a few gave off familiar vibes. One she was pretty sure she -did- know, but he looked different so she wasn't entirely certain.

She scuffed her shoe on the floor a minute, trying to decide what to do. She didn't mind talking to strangers, but everybody seemed to be busy talking with somebody else and she knew better than to interrupt. Hmm.

Bishop was starting to regret her choice in gift. It was becoming pain to carry already. The brightly wrapped box the gift lay in wasn't heavy so much as long and awkward to hold. Entering the gymnasium the young girl immediately began looking for Josh. Spotting the dark skinned boy over on some bleachers next to a girl she didn't Bishop grinned and headed in their direction.

The young girl was cloaked in a mint green dress, with green and white stripped stockings to match. Bishop thought the dress itself was pretty and fun to wear but the snug black dress shoes she wore were less than comfortable. Maybe she could slip them off later if it didn't look like her feet might get trampled.

"Hi Josh " she smiled at the boy and clutched his present carefully before turning her amber eyes on the girl next to him . " Hi I'm Bishop." She introduced herself politely while wondering who they were and who they were looking for.

Maddy had been waving at Wisp, glad to see the girl, even if she did look somewhat different. Wonder why that was? Well, no matter - she was too far away to see properly, anyway, so she'd just have to find her later or something.

"Ohh, Kashmira mentioned him. Is it true that he's nicer than he looks?" The silver-haired girl had seemed quite sure of that, but Maddy couldn't help but think that he seemed right intimidating all the same. She was glad he wasn't her secret Santa, even if the one she'd got was intimidating too - at least he didn't look like he could break her in half, like Chris did.
"Kash is my Secret Santa, by the way." She looked around, but didn't spot the other girl or her sister; "She's not here yet, I think, but she's that girl with the silver hair and the tail and the twin."

She turned curious eyes back on Kaimi, lowering her voice again. "What did you get him?"

"You're Bishop?" Elizabeth grinned, but eyed the long box in the other's arms and decided now would not be a good time for gift-giving. It looked like the girl with the wings on her head was a little busy right now. "I got to borrow you later, okay?"

The orange haired girl nodded " Yeah , sure, hey what's your name?." Bishop thought the girl was friendly enough but she was still a stranger at the moment.
