Hum... Thanks for the advice!!! Mock smiled at Suri.
MockaDash was making an effort to get it right the first time. He thought that getting accustomed with the shape of the kidou, would be a good way to improve his focus over it. He did however strayed from his objective. Suri was right. If he was trying to cast a kidou, the casting itself would be the secret to its effectiveness.
This wasn't however a total waste of time... He had now grown tired of performing the same task over and over again... This always allowed for his mind to wander about his surroundings instead of focusing on the task at hand. He knew that... He was unconsciously using that to his advantage. Because now that he was going for the real thing, it would come somewhat natural. If he thought to much about the casting, chances were he was going to get really nervous and - literally - blew things up!
Opening his right palm facing up, Mock's eyes shined in vibrant red, as blazing reiatsu quickly gathered and formed a small sphere on his hand. For an instant, the reiatsu actually seemed more like flames dancing at the wind, than a stream of spirit particles. Let's do this... He said to himself, with a certain tone of aloofness in his voice. For his mind to hold a certain "detachment" from what he was doing, could turn up to be a positive thing. But this personality... Too much, and it could turn out to be a negative one.
Mock sighed before pronouncing the following words... Bakudou # 39 -- Enkosen. With his nose stuck up high, Mock observed from the corner of his eyes, and a faint smile on his face, as the spiraling reiatsu instantaneously increased the speed at which it revolved around itself at an exponential rate. As it did this, it began spreading itself to the sides and condensing into the shape of a perfect round shield. The spiraling forces came to a stop, and resting on his hand was a crystalline barrier resembling a fire opal - ironically enough - in color and texture.
The feeling of accomplishment didn't last long however, as the shades across the shiny surface of the shield began to move once more, and the solid nature of it was disrupted, to manifest itself once more in the form of wheeling flames. Flames that expanded so fast, they didn't even gave Mock enough time to simply "cut the source" of reiatsu.
A large explosion sent rocks and other debris flying, along with MockaDash who was thrown backwards into the air, with his face all covered in ash and dust.
(( I was going to end it with this post... But I thought of having some fun first xp Hope you didn't had more important things to do... xd ))

(( Not a problem. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post sooner. My internet wasn't working. ))
:Alarmed by the flying debris and loose chunks of dirt, Suri quickly flashed out her palm, intoning, "Bakudo number 39, enkosen!" A wall of amber colored reiatsu shimmered to life in front of her, twisting itself so that it ended up circling her left and right and over her head. It was a complicated process, but one that Suri had mastered over time. Effectively shielding her body from the brunt of the shrapnel, Suri kept her eyes open, casting about for Mock.
Mock was not yet used to the kidou though. Since it had backfired on him, he could not summon it now to protect him. Worried that he would hurt himself in the fall, Suri flashed out her left palm towards Mock, shouting, "Bakudo number 37, Tsuriboshi!" A tarp of reiatsu instantly sprouted behind Mock, catching him and pillowing his fall as tentacles of reiatsu reached out, snaking around sturdy rocks and tree trunks. The tarp stretched wide, loose enough that Mock did not bounse, but taut enough that his weight and force would not hit the ground.
Once she was sure the initial explosion was over, Suri dropped her shield and prepared herself to deal with the spiraling flames. It had been a dangerous method that Mock had chosen to mold his shield at first. Shaping reiatsu from just the simple orb shape could be bad enough, but trying to create a circular spiral was far more difficult. Seeing the fire spiral away, missing the waterfall, Suri's lips tightened at the grim prospect.
She used her left thumb to click out her zanpaku~to before unsheathing it with a swift and fluid motion from her right wrist. Taking a light step so that she could skim over the water, not quite using shunpo but still manipulating reiatsu to keep herself afloat, Suri came to the other side quickly and sliced out at the flaming spiral. Her pure white katana blade gleamed in the air, reflecting both the natural sunlight and the sunlight reflected by the water from the waterfalls. It was cold and deadly, but it served it's purpose, dissipating the fire as steam rose into the air.
Once she was certain that the fire could do no more harm, Suri rushed back over to Mock, trying to assess his wounds as best as she could from afar. Upon closer inspections, she realized that some of the burns might be bad, but they could wait to treat them later in the fourth squad.
"You should be more careful next time," Suri chastised. "I understand you are an adept Lieutenant, but reiatsu manipulation and kidou still does not come easily to some people, regardless of rank." She ran the flat side of her katana along his face, bringing the blade far closer than most people would have liked, but a thin sheet of ice instantly coated his wounds, soothing them. "My ice is the best remedy I can offer you for now. There is no doubt you will have to visit squad four later, although their healing kidou should be able to fix you up with no problems. If you are feeling up to the task, we can try to wrap up this lesson now, or else we will need to bring you to squad four."
Allowing the ice to soothe Mock's cuts and burns before he responded, Suri drew out a bottle from the folds her clothes and uncorked the top. With swift steps, she drew herself up to the waterfall's shores and scooped up as much of the clear, cool liquid as could fit in the bottle. Walking carefully back to Mock, she offered the bottle to her student, anxious to know that he would be alright.:

Mock stood silent, as he witnessed Suri attending his burns. After the Shinigami handed him the bottle of water, he smiled as he gratefully accepted it. his attitude had changed. I was kind of hoping that you would catch me with your arms, instead of this kidou net!... he flirted.
As MockaDash stood on his own two feet, he examined his burns. Don't worry... I've dealt with much worse than this!!! He took a sip of the water as a gesture of appreciation for Suri's concern, and handed the bottle over to her once more. He then reached for his own bottle - a bottle of sake - and took a long sip. This is way better!!! He said.
I believe I owe you an explanation... Unlike most Shinigamis, who have one kind of reiatsu signature - let's call it that. I have several distinct ones... The one I used was a fire one!!! My "fire reiatsu" - sort of speaking - is both for offense and defense! Think of it like a phoenix. If I was aware that this was going to happen, I would've summoned my fire shield and not get burned at all... But I guess I was caught by surprise!!! Mock said, as he scratched his forehead in a silly awkward manner.
I can manage these burns for a while longer, don't worry... and thanks for the "ice patches" - they are refreshing!!! He gave her a warm smile. I believe I can go at it one more time... Are you comfortable with that??? This time I promise I will be more aware of myself!!! He said, and awaited for his teacher's response. He was indeed capable of pushing himself much more than this, but he didn't wanted to be troublesome to Suri.

:As lighthearted as Mock's comment may have been, made in good jest, Suri ignored it. She felt no need to respond to such a remark, especially in the current teacher-student relationship. Mock may have been equal to her in rank, probably soon to be higher in rank, but she still clung to the formality of teaching situations. She also found his choice of alcohol distasteful. It was not her place to preach to him about morality though. Instead, she chose to address his choice of continuing on with the kido.
"Well then," Suri nodded, "If you believe that you can continue, feel free to keep on trying. If anything starts to hurt, tell me though. They may be minor wounds, but you always want to stay in good shape. We do not know when the arrancars might decide to attack us next. As a Vice-Captain, we cannot afford to have you already injured going into battle."
Suri was nervous - perhaps paranoid - but everything had been quiet and dull in the Sereitei for far too long. She had reasons to think that Las Noches was planning something large, or else they would not have left the shinigami alone for so long. Since Mock was more adept that she was on the battlefield, Suri hoped that he would heal soon - the squads would probably find him a more valuable close-range fighter than she could be. Her best bet would probably to stay more to the side and help the shinigami by hindering their opponents. In that respect, she was always sure to never drain her reiatsu too much.
"Now then," Suri came back to the kido lesson, "While I find it highly interesting that you have several distinct reiatsu signatures, I think that right now, using your most defensive type would be best. Reiatsu in general may be used for offense, but if you use a reiatsu that is too strong in offensive capabilities, anytime it backfires it would have a far more detrimental effect on yourself, the people around you, and the environment. Perhaps you can try combining it after you are certain you can maintain the shield shape of the kido."
She stepped back, allowing Mock to prepare himself. However, she was certain to not be too far away, in case Mock accidentally messed up again. The closer she was, the better she could monitor kido gone awry before it could hurt Mock or damage the surroundings.:

Mock scratched the back of his head as he apologized Gomen na!!! After that, he felt even more uneasy, for just using such casual speech to Suri. He noticed how Suri chose to ignore his remarks, and that made him feel embarrassed. He never made those kind of remarks on purpose, but he always spoke in a blithe way - and always too late did he realize that!
I know that I shouldn't be drinking during a training session... But it makes me feel more at ease with myself, and others... he said as he strapped the sake bottle back on his waist. I really need to forget about everything else right now, other than this training... Not that I'm unease or anything like that at the moment!!! He inelegantly frowned...
Suri started talking about the Arrancars, and MockaDash bit his lower lip. That's right!!! He thought to himself. I cannot act so casual, when I have a duty to uphold!!! Now... Now... Suri-san... Don't concern yourself with my current state, or my value to Seretei!!! Somehow... I can always find a way to pull through!!!
Suddenly, something sparkled in his mind! As Suri had finished mentioning something, Mocka repeated those words out loud... ...maintain the shield shape of the kidou... His eyes were flaming again. I just thought of something... this time it will work!
Opening his right palm, facing up, Mock started to gather orange reiatsu there. This time, it did not resemble fire at all. Actually, it seemed kind of solid in nature... A shield... I was using KaijinZenchou because it is my guardian deity... Not only does it harms, it also protects! How could I not thought of this before? When protecting me, it always acts as a circular shield. Maybe it's natural on taking on that form when its purpose is defense... I must stop thinking of its nature as fiery, and begin to recall its shielding capabilities!
Bakudou #39 -- Enkosen!!! The reiatsu on his hand snapped and swiftly flattened to the shape of a shield! Mock smiled to himself, after seeing how easy it had been! Yatta!!! I did it!!! He kept the shield hovering over his hand for a few more seconds, to make sure that it wasn't simply a fluke. After that, he released the bakudou and directed his attention to his teacher.
So... What's next???
(( Thanks for your compliment! xp But how did you knew I was Portuguese? And btw, I've never been to England or America, but I started speaking English since I was about 5 or 6. xd ))

:Watching, Suri started to get a glimpse at how Mock's reiatsu worked. It was somewhat similar to hers, but she had yet to discover her next level. There had been times when she had felt it, especially when training with Captain Tansen, but it was probably something she would not tangibly know until she reached the level of Bankai. There had been offers to train her, but she was waiting until she could master her current shikai level first - there was still an arsenal of tricks she had to explore with her shikai. However, watching Mock perform his kidou gave her a couple ideas as to how she could manipulate her own. That had always been her favorite part of teaching - learning something new from her students that she could try herself.
"I do not think there is any more to teach you right now," Suri answered, picking up her water bottle to take a drink from it. "After learning two new kidos, it is usually best to rest. I would not recommend pushing yourself right now. Take a nap or go relax before trying to improve with the kidos. If you ever need my help again, or if you want a training match of kido only, feel free to find me in the Vice-Captain's office in Fifth Squad. I seem to have a sedentary lifestyle lately. Visit fourth squad if ever you feel like your wounds are not healing properly."
Bowing at a forty-five degree angle, acknowledging Mock's skill and equal status with her own, Suri then proceeded to disappear into the forest, lingering only long enough to see if Mock required any other assistance or had any questions.:
(( I remember from the OOC thread of "Where are you from?" or something like that. I thought it was interesting since I have been to Macao recently. ))

Thanks, Suri-san!!! I'll visit you at 5th squad, one of these days!!! Mock smiled. I also think that we should stop the training now... It was productive enough!!! I believe that there's still a lot I could learn from you, but I'll make sure not to make that, my sole purpose for visiting you!!!
Watching Suri taking a sip from her bottle of water, Mock thought of also refreshing himself. He retrieved his bottle of sake and drank from it. As he did, from the corner of his eye he witness the 5th squad Vice-Captain bowing. He choked a little, while drinking...
Suri-san... Suri-san... There's no need to be so formal with me!!! And I just thought of something... I want to repay the favor, so if you need my help with something... anything at all!... I'll be more than glad to give you a hand!!!The Shinigami grinned as he put away the sake bottle. I should be the one showing you respect, and not the other way around... Having said that, MockaDash bowed to her. As he raised his head, Suri was leaving the place...
Mock started thinking aloud... I really need to get some rest, maybe chill out a bit... Oh!!! Suri-san!!!... He yelled, as she was leaving into the forest. Do you wanna do something??? Maybe I can repay your kindness in having the time to teach me, by paying you a drink!!!... Hum... Water??? I guess... Do you wanna go somewhere??? He awaited to see if she had heard him...
((Macau? Awesome! Were you there on vacation? May I ask you where are you from? It's not everyday than I can find somewhere in this guild who knows about this stuff! ))

:Suri paused in her steps, turning around to face Mock. She could not think of many places to go for a drink, and personally, she was rather reclusive. Bars and meeting halls were not generally frequented by her. There were alternatives, and she decided to suggest one to Mock.
"I often prepare tea in my office, but I also have a variety of other drinks. if you would like to come by right now..." Suri trailed off, leaving the option open to Mock. "I do not want to be gone too long from my squad since Captain Nagi is currently away on leave, and there is a large backlog of people awaiting kido training."
(( Yeah, I was just visiting Macau. There's so many casinos there now though, and I couldn't go into any of them while I was there since I was under 18 then. I'm from the U.S. actually, I just really like International stuff. Traveling <3 hahaha ))

((I don't know if I shall make this an exit post or not... How do you wanna RP things? Are you going to directly post on your office thread? ))
Mock shumpoed to pick up his stuff (Zanpakutous, haori, etc.) that was laying on a nearby boulder. He flash-stepped once more, appearing behind Suri... Hum... I'll follow if you want me to... But shouldn't this be the other way around??? Me, inviting you???... he said, as he covered his burns with the haori, while following Suri's footsteps.
Suri-san... I really don't want to be a bother!!!... If you don't want to, I really don't need to follow... He gazed at the sky, scarcely visible from "behind" the tree branches. As he did, he begin to ramble... I don't mind though... I really like matcha... I have it in my office, since I'm drinking it all the time... Hey!!! Suri-san... Do you like matcha??? I can go get some for us!!!...
Suri-san???... Suri-san??? Want me to get some??? He insisted...
(( We "handed over" Macau on 1999 I guess... It didn't make sense anyway to keep it as a colony on this day and age. (( Since this is a PRP and my office is an ORP, I'm already "there." You can post an entrance post over there if you want to continue RPing. ))
:Suri closed her eyes as Mock shunpoed about. It was not something that she could physically see since she had never been trained in shunpo. However, her affinity to reiatsu allowed her to track him by sensing the reiatsu that he had to release from his feet in order to execute the technique. There was a masterful flow of movement, no doubt. As demonstrated earlier, Suri's version only allowed her to walk on air, a technique that was so basic most shinigami knew it.
"I actually do enjoy drinking matcha," Suri replied, realizing that she had none in the cupboard in her office at the moment. "It would be delightful if you could bring some over to my office. If I had more free time I would follow you to yours, but I really do believe the need for kido training back in squad five is urgent. However..." a sly grin tugged slightly at Suri's lip, although she never lost her serious composure, "if you think it would be a fair trade, I would enjoy learning shunpo. It embarrasses me to think that I have been a lieutenant for over six months, yet I do not know such a technique."
Hopefully Mock would be open to the training, but Suri understood that it was a long and complicated process. If he did not have the time at current, she would not pursue the issue any further. There were also strict regulations on who could be taught the technique. Her ranking as a Vice-Captain was probably good enough, but she did not want to break any of the Sereitei rules. When she got back to her desk, she would have to review the stipulations carefully for shunpo training.:
(( I wouldn't say the colonization is too apparent. The buildings and such were definitely more Westernized, and the Customs area I went through had signs in Portuguese, Chinese, and English. Portuguese passport holders had their own lines XD There were still a couple Portuguese people working there too. Anyways, how are you up at such odd hours? XD ))

Mock shook his index finger, as if gesturing a "no", while he spoke. First things first!!! I'll go get the tea on my office... We'll chill out a bit at your office... And then I can teach Shumpo!!!
Actually!!! I'll be delighted to do that!!! It will be my way to retribute you for your teachings!!!
Mock stood still for a second, while contemplating something... I just had an idea... I can grab you, and we'll shumpo together!!! Not only will we get there faster... But with your ability to sense reiatsu, you will witness firsthand how flash-step works!!!
Not that you don't already know the basis... But you have to see it to believe it!!! He laughed to himself for a moment... No... Just joking!!!... Anyhow... What do you say???

:Mock's playful nature, so contrary to Suri's own, made her smile a bit, but it was a brief one that flitted across her face. His offer seemed to make some sense, but it would be hard for her to deal with. Odd as it seemed, she preferred to walk between the squads since it gave her time to contemplate her surroundings and the state of the Sereitei, along with its inhabitants. She usually left running and training to the open fields where she could go for long periods of time without having to encounter many other people besides her students or teachers.
"Thank you for the offer. While it might be an effective way to learn, I do think I am better off approaching my squad slowly. I would not want to overdo myself and run into any walls or buildings on the way back. I doubt my squad would take kindly to their Lieutenant returning in such poor condition," Suri commented. "As for the first offer though, I will gladly meet you back in my office. Feel free to take as long as you please, especially if you need to find some gauze or bandages back in your office. I may have some in mine too."
Waving to Mock, gesturing that she intended to see him in her squad soon, Suri disappeared into the forest, her footsteps and clothes silently in the leafy understudy.:

Covering his head with his favored kasa hat, Mock started walking in a leisurely pace... He examined his burns... They were almost healed now. Seldom does KaijinKami's fire hurts Mocka. Actually, while damaging others, the fire acts like a reiatsu protective mantle. This time however, the reiatsu backfired, so it did leave burns on his body... Those burns were starting to heal quite nicely, thanks to a number of factors. Mamorigami's own ability. The healing reiatsu Mock had been gathering for quite some time, as he was walking. And also, Suri's ice patches.
Reaching for his kiseru and tobacco pouch, Mock filled the pipe. A small portion of ash flew around the Shinigami as he placed the kiseru on his mouth. Resting on top of the tobacco, the ash burst into a small flame and lit the pipe.
Taking a large puff, MockaDash shumpoed, leaving the smoke from the pipe to linger in the air, as he exited the area.

[ENTERS from Captain's Office]
Making his way towards the waterfall, MockaDash arrived from the 13th Squad. He was accustomed to reach this place from the 1st Squad, but since the 1st and 13th Squads are actually close together (having this woods in between), Mock was happy that he did not have to give up on his favored meditation spot and secluded training ground.
Kintaro should be following Mock closely, but they still had to wait for Xavier - Whom Mock informed of this place via Hell Butterfly. Upon reaching the clearing, Mock sat on top of a moss-covered large boulder, near the lake. We'll be waiting for another squad member here. Only then can your training begin. he said to Kintaro, already with his eyes closed and entering a meditation stated. Please, have a little patience.

Xavier stumbled out of a cluster of bushes that were off to the side of the waterfall. While that was in and of itself a very ungraceful entrance it was merely emphasized when he tripped on a root and almost fell face first into the small pool at the foot of the waterfall. Twisting his body suddenly he managed to dodge the pool and land right next to it, but only just. He pulled himself to his feet and dusted off before walking over to where the new squad member and his captain were.
“Hello Captain Mockadash,” said Xavier as he bowed to his captain, “hello to you too.” He directed the last comment to the new person he had never seen before.
After the hellos were done all around; he settled himself on the ground next to his captain and Kintaro. He let his eyes slip shut and let the sounds of nature surround him and lull him into a deep state of meditation. The gushing of the waterfall seemed to erode all his problems, the gentle chirping of the birds singing a melody that was deep and light, the feeling of the ground beneath him and the knowledge that life itself was brought forth from this power, the gentle breeze caressing his face, all of the brought him up above the troubles of his daily life and allowed him to become more than he was. He became part of everything in the clearing; he waited for his captain to give him instructions on what to do next.
