"Wanna trade... i'd gladly take disappearing over this any day," Oriana laughed at the thought of her just randomly disappearing, and half of the realm just dropping off the map. "Now as for the men... Despite your amazing killing abilities, i don't need them killed, i just do not wish for their company..."

She looked at the fireplace and thought about her sister, "You see... i have a sister, who rules the other side of this realm... she seems to think i need a male in my life, so she keeps sending men to my house. I take them into town and buy them a room at a hotel, telling them to pick me up tomorrow at two in the afternoon the next day. Over night i would brew up a blizzard; not too bad, but enough to make seeing difficult, and see if they come."

She looked down at her dog and smirked, "None of them come. Hell, if one managed to make it i might give them a chance, but they either give up, or get lost." she looked up at her shivering guest and rested back in her chair, "I am 56 years old, and my family still thinks i need to be watched over..." she trailed off, getting lost in the flames of the fireplace again.

She stared at him for a moment then sighed, "You'll have to meet my parent's approval, but i don't care... If you really think you can tolerate me." she wiggled her toes indicating for her dog to get up, then she got to her feet, "Do you want more coffee?"

She went to the kitchen and returned with a pot of freshly brewed coffee. after pouring him a cup she brought it back and came back with a glass of iced tea for herself, "So... Basically my father likes Fishing... that's how he met my mother, but i don't want to get into that story; you'll hear it enough. He's very outgoing and isn't afraid to speak his mind, kind of like my sister..."

She took a sip of her iced tea and set it down on a corner table between the couch and chair. she continued, "My mom is quiet, and calm... you shouldn't have a hard time with her, because you probably won't get too many questions out of her. Thankfully, i happened to inherit a majority of her traits."

She paused for another sip and sighed, "Overall you shouldn't have too much of a problem... my sister on the other hand... she's your test... my parent's are just little mini quizzes. I don't even know how to explain her... I try not to be around her as much as possible, because she irritates me so much."

Oriana sat in silence to think for a moment, then asked, "Okay, what if they have us get married... and i want it to be clear that you are not to hurt or threaten any of my family members... not even my ignorant sister who has the mind of a 13 year old, and I have the power to break this off at any time." she leaned back in her chair with her iced tea and waited for his reply.

"They're not so bad, so long as you train them how to behave," Oriana mumbled thinking about how her parents spoiled her sister rotten.

"So?" Oriana pressed, "You know it's going to come up... my dad will have you in his precious trophy room and he'll open his curtains and look out at the tropical side of Aquious, then turn and look at you and say, "So when do you think you'll get married?" " she shivered at the thought of marriage, "What will you say then?"

"Then that sticks me back in the same damned situation... only you get to pocket some money for doing a silly trick that damned flea bag over there could do." she hissed as she pointed at the dog sitting by her side wagging his tail.

She began pacing in front of the fire, "This needs time to be planned... Maybe this isn't the way I should be going about things... Commitment is important in ruling... well, that's what dad always preached about, but i have yet to see what's it's brought him." she continued rambling for a few more minutes, then she noticed his empty coffee cup, and went to the kitchen continuing to mumble.

She returned with the pot of coffee and refilled his glass, "You could just say you were waiting on his permission to get engaged before you thought about the wedding... tell him you were taking one step at a time and love lasts forever, so you didn't want to rush it." she mumbled, "Hell you might get points with both of them."

She finished filling his mug and walked back to the kitchen thinking of what to do after that when she heard her dog growling in the living room. she set the pot down and ran back to the living room to find him crouched in an attack position looking like he was ready to rip Kaiser's throat out. She gave the dog a stern look and he backed off, but his hair was standing up and he was still growling slightly. "What's the matter with you, you stupid thing. Lay down!" she pointed to the floor at her feet and he gladly obeyed.

"Maybe after we get engaged you could plan out the wedding, and right before it you could do your little skit of disappearing." she mumbled as she rested her elbows on the arms of her chair.

Oriana gave him an odd look, "I guess that's fine... there's plenty of rooms here..." she studied him for a second then couldn't help but ask, "Are you alright?"
