Dhar flicked his ears at the name. He knew her.
"Thats why you look recognisable. I knew your mother." He wasn't going to talk about the circumstances surrounding their meeting and while thinking about that a thought popped into his head.
The youngster said about his father... he didn't believe to be his real father. Could he? No surely not but.... its possible. Well at least he didn't have a mate to worry about if he did indeed have another son. However that would mean he had 7 children. That was rather alot.

Nazih blinked a few times as the other male said that he knew his mother. He was surprised, after all of the traveling he did around here he never ran into anyone who knew his mother. It was a surprise, he wasn't that sure what to think about it though, he wanted to as a few questions about her, refresh his memory some.
"Wow. I haven't ran into anyone who had even heard of our pride." He looked at the male once more, so many thoughts were going through his head, he was still unsure of what to think.

"I hadn't heard of your pride." He was being honest, she hadn't mentioned any pride or mate, not that he could remember. The idea of this possibly being his son couldn't escape his head. It annoyed him slightly because he really wanted to ask the youngster some more questions but he didn't know and how would he ever know if this boy is his son?
"Did you ever know of her leaving the pride at all?" He was curious now.

Nazih made a small face as he thought more. That was a surprise to see some one who didn't know about his old pride. They were pretty big... Then again he knew the world was bigger. The males question made his attention snap back into focus. "Yeah, she did. A few times. Rarely more than a day but she did when she was mad at dad... After a while she stopped going out as much and stayed home a lot..." His voice trailed thinking back to when he was a cub. She used to go out a lot when he was younger, very young. That was one thing he could faintly remember.

"I knew her, though I knew nothing of your father." He was going to be honest now. Well at least he hadn't got lionesses mixed up. This male in front of him looked alot like Dhar's mother, too much like Dhar's mother. It worried him a little but he didn't want to say anything to the youngster to upset him.
"You can remember a lot from your cub-hood, I am impressed. I remember very little of my own now."

Nazih arched a small brow at the other male. He was sure that almost everyone knew of his mother's mate. As he looked at the male in front of him he was wondering if this could have been his father... That upseted him, his mother never told him...
He cleared his throat before nodding forcing a smile on his maw. "Yes... I try to think about my past as much as I can. Its the only thing I have left of my mother. She was killed.." His voice dropped before he looked at the male and arched a small brow and nodded to him.
"How..." He wasn't that sure how to word it. "How much of a friend were you to my mother?" He asked he wanted to know. He really did.

Dhar wasn't sure what to say. She was dead, which he had already guessed by the way the youngster had spoken but if this was true then surely she would have told him if his father wasn't his father right? Yes, so there wasn't a chance, it was safe to tell him, most of the truth.
"I didn't know her well, we met not long after a good friend of mine hurt me, we wandered a little for a couple of days. Spent a lot of time together in those two days, she then went home and I never saw her again." There that was the truth.

Nazih listened to the male carefully and as he did he got a little more and more scared. He wanted to know one thing. He just wasn't sure of how to say it, or if he even wanted to say it. He let out a small sigh before nodding to the male."I hope you don't mind me asking you but... Is there a chance that you might be my... fahter?" He asked arching a brow, to a point he wanted it not to be true. He was never told he never had the chance of knowing it. He bit his lip as he waited for a answer, not sure at all of what kind of responce that he was going to have. "Because if there is a chance something tells me you are." He blurted out.

Dhar really wasn't sure what to say to the youngster. There was indeed a chance, a rather large chance infact.
He looked up at the sky and sighed. After a while he started nodding.
"Yes there is a chance."
The youngster seemed oddly sure that Dhar was his father and moving to look at him again. Well it wouldn't be that hard to believe. The youngster looked so much like Dhar's own mother. How strange.

Nazih'Matata looked Dharba before looking down at his paws with a sigh. A surge of emotions ran through him before he shook his head. He felt angry, confused, sad... A bit of everything wrapped into one. Even a little happy knowing that some one in his family was alive. He cleared his throat then looked up at the male again and nodded.
"Well..." He let out a nervous laugh and forced a smile toward the male. "That isn't something you expect everyday, meeting your real father." He nodded before looking over his shoulder and nodding to the male. "Rana is expecting me home some time soon." He cleared his throat and shuffled his paws.
"I will see you soon dad." The word slipped out, he couldn't help it... It was his dad and all. He flicked his tail before turning around and starting his trot away not really sure of how he felt. He knew he wanted to cry though. He needed to be alone for that.
