Penny looked over at Ryvan as the pair of women stood outside the doors of the research and adoption facility. " Excited, nervous ?" She asked the other. The pink haired woman herself was a bit nervous. Although her household had been preparing for the arrival of another child and Nickle and Mareike were both waiting at home top welcome them she couldn't help but worry. First impressions were important, both her first meeting with Taylor, as she'd been told the child was called, and his first meeting with her family would decide very much how the next few weeks or even months went. She couldn't wait she wanted to do this to have a kid to call her own, it was just a little bit nerve wracking.
At least, she thought, Ryvan was there, the fellow society member having chosen to adopt at the same time as Penny. The young woman was good company and hopefully if their kids got along she could have the other woman over often so the kids could play. Or they'd go to her place becuase Mareike might not tolerate more than one intruder into her house, especially as a snarly hormonal pre-teen.
Ryvan smiled over at Penny smoothing out the front of her dress, "Not really. Why? Are you nervous?" It had taken some time but Ryvan had managed to get herself well over her nerves, she was ready for this, the house was clean and unpacked, her schedule was cleared for the next week and mentally she felt prepared. She had thought she would be nervous, fidgeting but she really was ready. She only hopped that the child she would be taking home with her would like her. All the other stuff would just happen.
Penny nodded as she reached for the door " A bit, mostly because adding new kids to a family is never supposed to be easy." That said she held the door open for Ryvan and followed the red headed woman inside.
At the far end of the foyer stood a somewhat nervous young man in a white labcoat. In front of him were what Penny assumed were the two children being adopted today. The girl Trinket was standing fairly still looking around in a bored manner with one dark tipped tentacle wrapped around the arm of the boy beside her. Penny stared somewhat in shock at the boy. Taylor, her little Taylor was something of a shock to her. Mareike was certainly a different looking child and she too had come from here but Taylor was a whole nother level to this woman.
He was adorable if unconventional with his green pebbled skin and long tail,His mix matched red and blue eyes moved from staring at His siblings appendage to Penny as the women entered. There was something about him ,from the tips of the dual headwings to the ends of his claw tipped feet that melted Penny's heart . "Not nervous anymore" she whispered to Ryvan. Maybe it was just silly sudden maternal instincts but penny wondered how anyone could not love him.
Ryvan smiled when she saw the little girl standing with one tentacle wrapped around her siblings arm the other fussing with the hem of her skirt, hands clasped in front of her. She was perfect, absolutely adorable. The girl flicked her green eyes up to meet Ryvan's and something in her melted, yes, this would work. She was going to finally have a family, even if it was just her and this adorable little girl.
The man in the labcoat nudged the kids in the direction of the two women. All the official business had been taken care of on previous visits and over the phone. There was nothing more to be said and he was just here to make sure the children were picked picked up. At least, he mused they weren't terrors that had made the wait unbearable like some of the others.
Penny moved forward and met Taylor in the middle of the room, she crouched down to be able to look him in the eyes better. " Hi , I'm Penny, I'm taking you home." She was unsure about asking him to call her mom or anything, in her mind it would happen or it wouldn't.
Wrestling himself free of Trinket's grasp Taylor placed his hands on Penny's knees and stared into her eyes. His tail curled forward to lay across his feet and all in all he seemed very focused " I'm Taylor."
Trinket pouted a bit as Taylor left her reach, lone tentacle trailing after him until it could no longer touch, then curling back in close to its owner. Ryvan made her way closer to the girl crouching down to be at about eye height as much as her skirt would allow her "Hey there, I'm Ryvan and you are gonna come live with me now sweetie."
Trinket nodded, watching as the more friendly of her tentacles made it's way up to touch the woman standing in front of her, when it seemed content she smiled at Ryvan "My name is Trinket." She thought this woman seemed nice and perhaps she would enjoy living with her.
Penny stood slowly and ruffled Taylor's hair " What do you say we get something to eat hmm, I don't imagine the cuisine here is all that appealing" Not to mention that food as a good way to help the kids relax if they were nervous themselves.
Taylor perked up at the mention of food and he nodded swiftly " Trinket too?" he asked curiously. He hadn't been aware of the world for very long but in that short time Trinket had always been there. Sometimes it was nice and sometimes not but it was a constant, it only made sense that she was coming too.
Trinket looked over at the mention of her name and then looked back to her new guardian, "Are we going to eat with them?" She wasn't sure but the way the two women had told them that they were their new guardians it seemed like her and Taylor weren't going to be going to the same house, and she wanted to spend more time with the boy before they were separated if that was the case. Her tentacles curled around her waist as if to comfort her as she looked up at the red-headed woman in front of her.
Ryvan smoothed out her skirt as she stood "I don't see why not sweetie." She hoped that Penny hadn't planned on separating the two right away because it seemed almost cruel to separate them right away.
Penny looked over and nodded at Ryvan " I figured we'd go eat together first. You pick the place and we'll follow you there?." Penny wasn't too fussy when it came to eating at fast food places since they were meant to be indulgent meals. She wasn't too familiar with Ryvan's eating habits though and the model might prefer a place that was at least slightly health conscious.
Having never actually gone anywhere under anything other than his own power Taylor hoped they weren't walking too far for food. Especially since there was weird looking stuff on the ground outside. The pads of his feet were pretty strong but the stuff looked mushy and Grey and gross which wouldn't be any fun to walk on. Plus he didn't want to have to drag his tail through it either.
Ryvan nodded "Any price range?" She didn't want to eat anywhere too cheap as usually the quality and health of the food decreased with the price but she didn't want to pick anywhere out of Penny's means either. She started walking towards the place where her and Penny parked leading Trinket along behind her.
" Something between greasy burgers and lamb with mint jelly" Penny suggested as she followed the other two females " Maybe a cafe with nice sandwiches or something. I could go for someplace with good caffeine about now." She'd been up most of the night with nerves and it was starting to get to her.
Taylor shadowed Penny avoiding the slush on the ground with careful hops and jumps to keep him on mostly dry patches of ground. " I like jelly , but I've never had mint jelly is it good? Can you eat it with peanut butter?"
Penny laughed and shook her head " No it's um a special kind of sauce that's just called a jelly but it's for meat." Thinking about it now why on Earth did they call it mint jelly when it only sort of resembled a typical jelly?
Ryvan nodded "I know a place nearby, with good coffee and really good food, it's not too expensive." She laughed "I know for a fact that they don't serve lamb with mint Jelly." She opened the back door to her car and settled Trinket in, doing up her seatbelt tucking the shoulder strap behind her. "Just follow me and I'll take you through the shortcuts." Making certain that Trinket was settled in she opened the drivers door and slid in herself switching her shoes as she did to something a bit more driving friendly. "Ready Trinket?" The girl nodded watching her reflection in the review mirror as she did. Waiting for the other woman to get her and Taylor settled into her car Ryvan started her own car and pulled out of the spot, heading for the restaurant.
Taylor climbed into the back of Penny's car at Penny's urging and sat still long enough for her to place a restrictive strap of fabric over his chest.' For his own safety' He couldn't imagine what the strap could possibly be good for, at least until the car move forward and he felt it holding him back, preventing him from lurching forward into the back of her seat. " How does a car work?" He asked curiously while holding his tail and running his fingers along the pebbled green parts.
Penny shrugged as she kept her car a few feet behind Ryvan's " It's sort of complicated to understand it all but basically there's a machine inside that makes the wheels turn and how it works." The woman might drive a car but the mechanics of how they ran weren't her strong point.
The ride to the restaurant was short and fairly quiet, neither Ryvan or Trinket really knowing what to say exactly, but neither feeling uncomfortable in the silence. Before they knew it the ride was done and they were sliding into seats in the restaurant. It was a nice place, with lots of booths and soft tablecloths for Trinket's tentacles to play with.
Penny slipped into her own side of the booth , directly opposite Ryvan so that Taylor could be closer to Trinket during what time they had left togeather for the day." Is Trinket going directly into the pre-school program after the holidays?" The pink haired woman asked. Since the boy seemed a lot less likely to be a danger to himself and other's like Mareike had been Penny felt safe putting him in the program that most fo the society children attended.
Ignoring Penny completely for the moment, Taylor reached under the table with his tail and tried to poke at Trinket's legs. His tail wasn't quite as fexible as her tentacles but it was longer and just as useful he thought." Do they have jelly here?" he asked curiously.
Ryvan nodded glancing down at the menu "I figure it'll be safe enough to send her there, and besides, she has to learn somewhere. Are you going to send Taylor?" She laughed a little at Taylor's question, "no sweetie, they don't have any Jelly here."
Trinket grinned and pet at Taylor's tail with her tentacles "Good, jelly is yucky anyway."
Taylor frowned and directed his eyes at the menu despite not having a clue what any of the words on it meant. Nor did her understand or care much about whatever pre-school was.
Penny nodded " Yeah , it only make sense to send him and I think he's going to be a bit better behaved in general even at this age. Plus it will be good for them to see each other often." As she spoke Penny glanced at the menu, a BLT sounded pretty good right about now and maybe some soup.
By now Taylor had gathered that he and Trinket were not going to be living togeather anymore. The idea bothered the little boy, after all the girl had been a constant in his short life. On the other hand he could make it on his own he was strong.
Ryvan nodded and gave the waitress her order "We should make sure they get together once a week, like on sundays or something. Some place outside of school."
Trinket's tentacles smoothed over Taylor's tail more, as the girl frowned, she didn't really want to be separated from him, but she guessed that so long as they still got to see each other sometimes it could be okay.
Penny ordered for herself and Taylor opting for soup for the boy and hoping he liked cream of broccoli or at least that he hadn't yet reached the conclusion that all vegetables were gross. " That sounds good, maybe a different place each week like swimming one week and then one of those weekend arts and crafts sessions." Penny was certainly in favour of letting the two see each other and on occasion she'd probably drag Mareike along for good measure. The girl needed to spend more time around other children like her, not just the society kids.
Taylor wiggled his tail and tried to loosely curl itself around the tentacles. It wasn't good enough to actually hold things by curling around them like the tentacles but it was still pretty neat, plus he'd heard the techs whisper that it'd have spikes some day that was what the two tiny nubs near the end were, baby spikes. "Tri, I bet I can eat faster today."
In the end there was no race becuase neither Penny nor Ryvan were inclined to watch the children attempt that for a variety of reasons. Instead the group ate in relative peace with the children and adults each mostly talking amongst themselves . Eventually they said their goodbyes , both women promising the children that they'd be able to see each other at school and often for visits before they went their separate ways.

Ebony Morgan Dartsmoore was in the habit of showing up in random places and meeting all sorts of people. Dartie had long since decided that questioning why the hell it happened that her daughter almost never seemed to leave the house without meeting someone was a stupid idea. She had also decided that questioning why Ebony was inexplicably drawn to odd places where she met these people wasn't a good plan either. So, that was the main reason she just agreed with no inquiries as to the reason when the purple spawn asked if they could enter the organic grocer's. The child had taken to baking lately, usually by herself or with Bailey as they seemed to be the only two in the house capable of the feat, and so she needed to buy ingredients. And since she'd heard somewhere that organic stuff might taste better, she had insisted on trying the organic grocer's. Well, Dartie couldn't taste anything anyway, so if it came out bad, it wasn't her problem.
Ryvan checked for the third time since they entered the store to make sure that Trinket was still beside her. It wasn't that she didn't trust the girl it was more that she didn't trust any number of people who could be in the store at any given time, but she wasn't about to make the girl suffer the indignity of being shoved in a cart for the entire trip. So instead she had Trinket keeping track of the list and taking things from the lower shelves.
Trinket was enjoying this so far, there were a lot of good smells and lots of people everywhere she looked. And Ryvan had said that everything here was healthy and good for you. It certainly smelled good for you. She liked that she could be of use to her guardian by actually helping with the shopping instead of just following along behind her, and Ryvan had promised that after the groceries were all at home that she would take the girl to get her nails done, whatever that meant, it certainly sounded fun if the smile on Ryvan's face was anything to go by.
Ebony, as she walked around the opposite direction from Trinket and her mother (the spawn had always been perverse that way) spotted up ahead what looked to be a child with the same skintone as her - a lovely purple color. And this girl, by the looks of it (though one never could be sure) seemed to have pretty tentacoos too. So, being her usual bouncy, cheerful, and sociable self, she rushed over to talk to the other child. "Hallo there." she said, her soft white wings fluttering behind her as she bounced on her toes before the pair.
Trinket and Ryvan stopped as the girl approached, Trinket taking a step towards the other girl, "Hello, you have wings." Taylor had wings, and he was nice, maybe this girl was nice as well. One of her tentacles reached out towards the girl, the darkened tip straining to touch one of the girl's wings.
Ryvan stayed back a step watching, it would be nice for her daughter to have a friend even if the friend was a random girl they had met in a grocery store, she kept an eye out for any parents that looked to be missing a child however, just in case the child had ran away from someone to greet them.
Dartsmoore wandered along after Ebony, keeping her distance but still mindful of her daughter. She also was looking at a few of the things Ebby had put on the list and actually getting them, since the child was socializing.
Ebby smiled warmly. "And you've got pretty dark tentacoos and purple skin like I have." Yay for someone else who was purple - it seemed almost all of the lust spawn were normal skinned with tentacles and she was just purple without them. Now she had a friend who was like her. Stretching her wing out a bit so the tentacle could reach it for pettings, the lust spawn grinned. "I'm Ebony, what's your name?"
Ryvan watched the two girls interacting, content to just watch unless it seemed that the two were about to get into a fight, then she would intervene.
Trinket smiled as she listened to the other girl talk, "My name 's Trinket. Ebony's a pretty name." The tentacle stroked at the edges of the wing contentedly.
"Trinket's a neat name too." she replied. "What are you guys shopping for? Just groceries or other stuff too?"
Trinket looked back at Ryvan briefly before returning her gaze to her new friend "Ryvan said that we were going for groceries but that afterwords we could go out and do something fun! What about you? Are you just doing groceries too?"
"No. I took Mommy here cause I need stuff for baking. I like to bake. I made cookies for the angels and demons at the facility the other day but now I'm out of ingredients. Plus I want to try brownies. What do you think?" Ebony offered, bouncing on her toes a bit. It was a rather ludicrous thing to be doing but she acted so natural about it - of course she was baking cookies for demons and angels. What the hell was going to start happening next? Movies about sparkly vampires?
"Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun, I wish I could help you!" It really did sound like fun, maybe one day soon she would ask Ryvan if she could make something for the Demons and Angels at the facility as well. "You should make them the brownies with candy in them." She had seen a picture of the aforementioned candy brownies in the menu at the restaurant when she had gone with Taylor and they had looked really yummy, maybe the angels and demons would think so too!
"I don't know. Sounds a bit advanced and sorta too sweet. I cant' take having too many sweets cause then I feel yucky. And they stop tasting good. Just all blah." the child said with a shrug. "We should get together and bake sometime!"
"Oh that's true" She looked thoughtful a moment "you should still try brownies though! Even if they are just normal brownies. Maybe sometime we can bake together and maybe I can help you take what we bake to them?"
"Sure! That sounds fun! I'm sure they'd love company. So long as you behave, I don't think they'll mind letting you in. I've been able to get in at least three times with my Mommy, and she's very dangerous. Only, she doesn't come with me into the angels or demons areas. Usually Almas goes with me.........or I go alone to the angels sections. They're safe though so it's not a problem. The only people you really gotta be careful about are the techs and we can avoid them if we watch out."
Ryvan looked at her cell phone and sighed, she hated to do this, but she was going to have to interrupt Trinket and her new friend, they had an appointment and if they wanted to get there on time they were going to have to finish up here and make it back to the house fairly quickly. She flipped open the phone and smiled down at the girls, "Ebony? If you want you can give me your phone number and I'll call your mother soon to set up a time that you girls can bake together, but we have to hurry up here or we'll be late for where we are going after this."
Trinket pouted a little bit, she had been enjoying talking to this new girl, it was nice meeting new people, but Ryvan had said that they could see each other again, which was a good thing. She smiled at Ebony hoping the other girl would want to see her too.
Ebony grinned broadly. "Sure-sure." and gave the numbers to her phone without any real worry. "Just don't call between ten am and noon cause that's when everyone's just starting to get out of bed or go to bed and they're a bit awkward to deal with."
Ryvan nodded "Not a problem sweetie, I'll probably call your mother in the next few days and then the two of you can get together and bake whatever you want."
Trinket grinned "I guess I'll see you soon Ebony! It was really fun meeting you. I'm glad you said hi."
"It'd be my big brother if anyone you'd talk to. Mom doesn't answer the phone." Ebby laughed and then hugged Trinket quickly. "Nice meeting you too, Trinket! I'll see you!" And with that, she ran back to Dartie who somewhat strode after her with no questions asked as to why she was giving her phone number out to random strangers she'd known for less than half an hour
One tentacle followed Ebony breifly before returning to slip around Trinket's waist stroking at the one that had remained around her waist during the exchange as the girl returned to Ryvan's side for the rest of the shopping trip.

Ryvan watched as Trinket fidgeted in her seat smiling as the girls tentacles attempted to sooth her by petting her hair. She was glad that Ebony was coming over today, Trinket had been looking forward to it since that first day at the grocery store and had begged Ryvan to take her out to get all sorts of baking supplies for when her friend came to visit.
Trinket really was excited, she was going to get to bake with Ebony today!
Ebony smiled broadly, holding onto Dartie's hand as she walked up to the house. The woman was going to be taking both girls to the Facility to drop off their baked treats later, but right then, she was going to drop Ebby off at Ryvan's house so they could bake the treats at all. The blue-silver haired woman wasn't very maternal, particularly at times like these, but the purple spawn wouldn't trade her for anyone in the world (even if she liked other people's families too.) Soon enough they had arrived at Trinket and Ryvan's door and were knocking at it. Yay, baking time!
Trinket jumped up and followed Ryvan to the door and was grinning by the time the door was opened to revel Ebony and her guardian. "Hi Ebony!"
Ryvan had to hold back a laugh at Trinkets enthusiasm, she reached her hand out to the guardian, "It's nice to finally meet you, I'm Trinket's guardian, Ryvan."
Dartie shrugged and took her hand for a moment. "Dartsmoore." Ebby grinned broadly and bounced on her toes. "Heyhey Trinket! How're you?" she asked before darting forward to give the other girl a hug.
Trinket wrapped both arms and tentacles around the other girl returning the hug quickly before pulling back, one tentacle remaining to wrap around the girls wrist "I'm okay, come on let me show you the stuff we bought for today!"
"Again, its a pleasure to meet you, when did you want them ready to go to the facility?" Ryvan had no problems letting the other woman take Trinket to deliver the baked goods, especially since she had a few phone calls she really should be making today, and she would feel guilty leaving the child alone all day while she talked on the phone.
"Just call me when the kids are ready to go. I really don't have any specific plans for the day." Dartie said with a shrug. "Just, remember to have Trinket leave any valuables she might have here when she comes along for the trip. There's the chance of running into the Greed demon and he's a bit of a thief, from what I'm told. And if you are attached to any of your tins, I'd suggest using ours. We don't mind if they get given away." the older woman finished with a shrug. Ebby giggled and followed her friend. "All right! I can't wait! I brought my favorite recipes with me." the child said, indicating a small black satchel she'd brought with her. "I even got a few new ones for us to try."
Ryvan nodded "Thank you for taking them, I would but I really don't have the time, and you've already been there so it seemed perfect, thank you." She smiled leaning against the door "would you like to come in and have a coffee or a tea?"
"I can't wait to try them!" She led her friend into the kitchen where Ryvan had already set up most of what they would need on the table, only leaving the milk and eggs in the fridge. She had already shown Trinket how to use everything, and the night before the spawn had made her first cookies ever!
"No, though thank you for the offer. I'll come back around later." the woman responded with a slight shrug of her shoulders, turning to leave. "Just call when you're ready." She'd have accepted but there was really no point. She didn't have any need for coffee or tea and couldn't taste them anyway. She'd much rather go home and have some of her own drinks. And given how most parents were about people being drunk when caring for their children, she figured it would probably be best not to leave unnecessary information out. It wouldn't come up anyway unless there was a sudden random blood test for no good reason and they found she didn't actually have any. Ebby smiled broadly. "Yay! What shall we make first?"
"Okay." Ryvan closed the door and made her way to the kitchen to watch the girls bake, and so she'd be ready when they needed her for the oven.
"Um. Do they have any favorites? The angels and the demons I mean?"
"Most of the ones I met didn't seem to care. They had either not tried it or just grabbed a handfull indascr-indescr-indiscri-without looking and just ate them. So they'll prolly like whatever we make so long as it comes out rihgt." The child responded with a smile.
"Well that's good, at least they aren't picky, maybe we should make peanut butter cookies first? I made some of them last night."
"Okay? I'm not fond of them myself, but I just don't really like peanut butter much. It's okay though. I didn't much like the gingerbread either but I made those before."
"Well if you don't like them we don't have too, maybe gingersnaps? I had one of them and they are yummy"
"Well they aren't for me, so it doesn't matter." the horned one giggled but shrugged. "Okay, I haven't made those before."
"Do you have a recipe for them? If not I got a recipe book and Ryvan read the names to me last night, I think there is one in there."
"I don't think I do since I haven't heard of them before. But if you have one in your book, that works then."
Trinket moved to the small bookshelf filled with recipe books and took out the one that Ryvan had bought for her, taking it back to the table and Ebony flipping though until she saw the picture of gingersnaps. "There"
"Oh. Those look interesting. We can try them." the other girl agreed, nodding a bit and smiling. "Lessee what we need here...."
Lots of giggles, mixing of ingredients, and batches of treats later, and the girls had gotten their delicious snacks all put nicely into tins, and had cleaned up the kitchen. They had both sat down to each have a brownie and some tea while Ryvan phoned up Dartie to let her know that the girls were ready to go. All in all, it had been a rather productive beginning to the day.
Sipping her tea while Ryvan phoned Dartie Trinket nibbled on her lower lip "So, what are they like?" She wouldn't say she was nervous, but she kinda was, what if they didn't like her?
"Hm.....well, they're all different. I've only met three of the angels and four of the demons. The three angels were Avis, Anani and Hyacinth. And the demons were Llewelyn, Enki, Charna, and Drake." "Auntie Avis - I call her Auntie cause she's chastity, so she's Lust's opposite so kinda like a sister to J'her and an aunt to us - is kinda awkward around boys but she's really nice and polite. Anani is a bit awkward to deal with and doesn't seem to like people around there much but I think it's cause the techs treat her bad. She doesn't eat anyway since she's Abstinence. Hyacinth's a real sweetie, but really shy and sad seeming. He's been getting happier lately though." "Llwelyn's not that interesting and we probably won't be offering him any cookies either cause he's sloth so he sleeps aaaaaaaaaaalll the time. Enki's all right but he talks about himself A LOT, but that's cause he's pride so it's kinda his nature. Charna's a bit spoiled but she's okay. They're sorta self-centered but they're okay once you're used to them. And Drake's a bit scary if you're not used to him, or people like that - he used to be a dragon or something and ate a princess and such. He likes to steal stuff and horde it so we cant' take any of our things in with us when we go to see him." Ebby explained, checking off on her fingers as she spoke, making sure she hadn't missed anyone.
Trinket nodded "Do you think... do you think they will like me?"
"Well........Drake and Anani I dunno about. Llew will be asleep so I don't think he'll have any opinion of you. Enki.......might not like you since you're his opposite halfway but he might also like you for that. Just kinda smile and nod and let him talk about himself and you should be fine with him. Charna.....um........I unno. Probably. And if you're polite, Avis probably won't have any problem with you. Hyacinth I am positive will like you though. He's really sweet."
"Okay, I can't wait to meet them! Is the facility really far from here?" Trinket was almost bouncy in her seat again with the thought that she was going to get to meet more people today, maybe she would make another friend!
"Not really. Mommy and I walk there most of the time. But then, we walk everywhere." Ebby said with a touch to her chin. About that time, there was a rap at the door, indicating that their escort had arrived to take them onward to meet the demons and angels at the facility.
They put their dishes on the counter and were bundled up and ready to go fairly quickly, but not before Ryvan gave them each a hug and told them to behave, and to be nice both to the angels and the demons.

Ryvan smiled as she watched Trinket walk a few steps ahead of her, the little girl had been excited ever since she had told her that she would be able to meet someone new, and maybe even take them some cookies or a treat. In the end cookies had won out and Trinket held a small heart shaped tin full of spicy gingersnaps in her little hands.
Trinket skipped a little as they approached the facility, she was going to get to meet someone new! Her tentacles smoothed out at her hair and skirt trying in vain to keep her hair all in one place and she slowed down a bit taking her mother's hand as they made their way inside the building, looking for whoever was going to be escorting them around.
The facility was a buzz, an unscheduled meeting with J'her usually meant something was up. Even if it was only a little girl bearing cookies to the demoness, nobody like risking their necks for something so..trifle. Still out of the more dangerous demons...J'her...was the least threatening. At least...as long as you wore the mask provided. Still a man waited just inside the doorway looking rather antsy. He had been before...actually many times before to check on the demoness. He was rather....fond of her...as she was every man's wet dream.
Ryvan stepped forward towards the man smoothing her skirt before offering him her hand, all business "Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to escort us on this visit." There was no point in being overly friendly to the man as she had a feeling he wasn't exactly volunteering to guide them, but nor was there any point to being rude to him.
Trinket nodded smiling "Thank you very much, if you want you can have a cookie too!" She reached into the little purse she had over her shoulder pulling out a small baggie containing three little gingersnaps, she had made them just in case someone else had wanted one too while she was visiting, she had a few more little baggies in her purse too, just in case.
The technician looked at the pro0offered hand like it was some foriegn object before finally releasing one hand on his clipboard to shake hers. "Uh...yeah....no problem." He muttered before he stared at the little spawn offering him a cookie. "Uh..." He started wanting to decline but ...seemed to be having a hard time deciding. "No..than..kyou. I just ate..." He finally responded before moving to withdraw his hand back to his clipboard. "Um...yes...if yiou would just...move this way..." He started as he then turned and walked down the hallway. He came to a door that was heavily locked and then began to unlock it.
Trinket sighed, putting the cookies back in her purse, following the man and her mother to the locked door, brightening at the idea she would get to meet this new person.
The technicial fiddled with the locks, fumbling around and finally getting the door undone. He opened the door and took a step inside gesturing that they both should follow. before moving down the steps he picked up three masks and then continued on wards. about halfway he paused and then offered the masks to them. "You will need to put these on...we can't approach any closer before we have them on securely." He explained in a mumble.
Ryvan nodded taking the masks from the tech, first securing one to her own face, knowing that she was going to get lipstick on it, and likely all around her lips from wearing it, and then securing the second one to Trinket, much to her Tentacles displeasure.
Trinket didn't like this at all, the mask was stupid and her tentacles kept poking at it and the elastic holding it to her head.
Noticing the girls discomfort the tech shifted on the spot a bit. "Its...regulations...you have to wear those if you want to meet J'her..." He mentioned before turning back towards the hallway they were heading down and forking to the left. They soon came to a door that was locked. Sliding the viewing window open he peered inside a bit hesitantly as if he had done this many times before.
"Ah...she is busy...let us..um...let her finish." He murmured quickly sliding the window closed before knocking loudly on the door. "J'her...y..you have some g..guests." he announced a loud moan seemed to penetrate through the door as an only reply.
Ryvan choked at the moan, imagining what the poor tech had just seen through that little viewing window. She wondered for a moment, just what they were getting into during this visit.
Trinket tilted her head a little bit when she heard the moan, one tentacle reaching out to tug on the tech's sleeve "What is she doing?" She was curious, as to what could make someone make that noise. She was also curious as to why the tech seemed so nervous all the time.
The technician looked down at the tentacle and then cleared his throat. "Uh..she..is just..um finishing off her morning...routine..." He replied not really explaining what the lust demon was doing as he had enough common sense to not tell her the details.
"Oh, okay." She paused "Since she's finished can we go in now?" She was getting fidgety with all this waiting.
Ryvan wanted to laugh at the poor man and his attempt at an explanation, making a mental note to discuss that with Trinket at some point, seeing as how she didn't exactly know the rate at which the little girl was going to grow, maybe sooner was better then later with her.
Sliding the viewer open again he then nodded his head and closed it. "p..please keep in mind to stay behind the line..." He explained as he opened the door to allow the pair to enter. J'her was laying on her stomach, her face a bit pink as sweat dripped down her face and arms. Whatever she had been doing apparently it had been quite the work out. She licked her lips eying the child,"hmmm brought me more toys to play with?" She murmured a tentacle moving to stroke her shoulder and arms the other moving to 'look' at the new people.
Trinket stepped forward to the very edge of the line on the floor "My name is Trinket, and I brought you cookies!" She held the tin forward a bit, one tentacle remaining close to her body, petting at her own hair, the other reaching out a bit towards the lust demon, J'her seemed very interesting to her, she was all pretty and purple like Trinket was. And she had never met anyone else with tentacles "Your tentacles are pretty."
Ryvan just leaned against the wall watching the exchange, as long as the demoness didn't attempt to harm or molest her child then she wouldn't interfere.
The demoness gave the girl a curious look before she moved to stand up. She was adorned in chains. one around her neck, one on either wrist and one attached to her ankle she wore no pants....or underwear...and a top that was barely there. The slip barely reached her groin level...and it was sheer enough there was almost no point to wear it. "My my another little Cherry has come to give me gifts?" She purred as she moved forward some.
Trinket was fairly oblivious as to the Demoness' state of dress or lack thereof "yes, I brought you cookies, they are really tasty too, I tried one so that I knew that they weren't yucky or anything." She regarded the demoness a bit "Why are you wearing chains? They don't look very comfortable."
The tech shifted uncomfortably at the question of the chains. he obviously didn't want J'her to answer that one. The demoness however only licked her lips as she eyed the child in a rather predatory way. "Little Cherry they bind me up like this cause the do not trust me." She murmured in response. Her left tentacle reached out toward Trinket in a pleasant manner whilst she stroked the other one.
"But why don't they trust you? You don't seem mean or like you'd hurt me." Her left tentacle remained close to her side, the other still extended towards the demoness reached a little further. She didn't understand why they wouldn't trust her, she wasn't scary or anything, it was sad, and it was mean of them to keep her chained up like that.
J'her licked her lips her tentacle reaching out as she came to the end of her chains. If she could get a hold of the girl...she would be hers. Her tentacle was trying hard as it strained to touch the younger girls. "Yes...but not everyone thinks like you do little Cherry." she murmured, an eye glancing at the parent and the technician.
Trinket tilted her head, right tentacle stretching forward a bit more towards the demoness' tentacle "Why do you keep calling me cherry?" It was a pretty name but it wasn't hers and it confused the girl greatly as to why J'her kept calling her by it.
Ryvan watched, not really concerned yet, seeing as the tech didn't seem too much more bothered by this then he did anything else.
The technician shifted he didn't like this ..and where it was going. He moved toward Ryvan looking at her with a look of worry. "Sh.e...can can't be gra..rabbed by J'her.." He whispered as he didn't want J'her to do anything drastic but wanted to alert the woman of the danger her child was in. J'her gave a low chuckle. Her voice was deep, rich like dark chocolate, the tentacle was only a hair's breadth way from Trinket's. "Because everyone is a Cherry to me little one...until I educated them of the ways of life.." she murmured her eyes almost glowing as she was coming so close to her desire.
"Trinket honey, you need to come back over here now." Ryvan's voice was calm, she trusted that the child would listen to her quickly.
Trinket turned towards her guardian her right tentacle stretching out even further towards the demoness' tentacle, curious and interested by the other limb and its interest "Why? She isn't hurting me." It didn't make any sense as to why her mother would want her to come back now and she really didn't want to.
It wasn't long but it took only a millisecond for J'her's tentacle to wrap itself around Trinkets. It was a firm hold but nothing seemed very threatening bout it. "Yes little Cherry...come closer to mother J'her. I understand you better than they.." she purred as she tugged the girl towards her. The tech was alarmed but he looked frozen on the spot. If...if he crossed the line to grab the girl then J'her would grab him!
Ryvan froze as the demoness caught hold of her child "Trinket! come back here."
Trinket took a step forward, crossing over the line, almost without realizing it "She isn't hurting me. I just want to give her the cookies." Her left tentacle moved from her side moving forward tentatively as if it were unsure.
Smiling the demoness's other tentacle reached forward finally joining the fray. A lust demons strength in their tentacles was astounding. She could easily yank this child into her arms..so easily.....yet she was also curious...curious to see if either of the other mortals in this room would risk their necks to save the girl. but she was satisfied if a bit disappointed by the technician's rather frozen state. Instead she pulled the girl closer to her...yes close to arms reach. Her other tentacle reached and grabbed for the other one as she came within range.
Ryvan looked at the Tech, useless absolutely useless, and she knew she wouldn't stand a chance against the demoness "Do something, or call someone who will damnit."
Trinket smiled up at J'her, her left tentacle slipping into J'her's grasp "Do you want a cookie now?" See, the lust demon wasn't hurting her, nothing bad was happening, silly techs keeping her chained up for nothing.
The tech seemed to snap out of his...rather zoned state and he immediately went and moved towards a button posted on he wall. Smashing his fist into it a fine hum rang out, the chains glowed an errie green color the demoness snarled knowing what was going to happen and yanked the girl towards herself. Her tentacles wrapped around the girl and she stroked the little girls cheek. She nearly seemed possessed. "Little cherry....do J'her a favor? Give mother J'her a kiss." She murmured as she lifted the girl in her arms pressing her tightly against her body. The technician looked panicked, the glow was strengthening brightening the room in its errie light but it had yet to do its purpose.
Trinket tilted her head "I can't with my mask on, and the man over there said I can't take it off. Or is it like the chains and its just another silly rule?" Maybe there was no reason for it, just like the chains and the line on the floor.
Ryvan was frozen now, could no one do anything?
Purring now the demoness seemed to flinch as a volt of power surged through her body. The pulse was enough she slowly sank to a knee. "Hmm little one...the mask can be forgotten..." she explained as she herself went to remove it. The tech looked nervous...he knew he was going to get it...and be lucky if he had his job after this. He had pressed the button...it looked to be working...
Trinket nodded, helping to remove her mask "Are you okay? You looked like you were hurt."
Ryvan could only watch, tears in her eyes afraid of what was going to happen.
J'her only smiled as she didn't reply and move to kiss the girl on the lips. It wasn't the kind of kiss any grownup should give a child. Not that it mattered as another volt stronger in pulse was sent through her. This time...it was enough to send the demoness unconscious. Though there was enough pheromones in the air to perhaps effect the child...usually it didn't with under age children. J'her's body slumped against the little girl and she was heavy.
Trinket's eyes opened wide at the kiss, tentacles clinging to the demoness even as she fell against the child's smaller form. She let out a little squeak as the demoness' body landed on her own, casting an accusing glare up at the tech "What did you do to her?! She wasn't hurting anybody!" There were tears in her eyes now and she shook at the demoness "Are you okay, I'm sorry they hurt you!"
Ryvan, eyes wide looked to the tech "How could you... how could you let a child into a place where this could happen that easily, what is wrong with you people, there should have been a plastic wall or something in the way. Get her out of there now!"
The tech didn't move even as the woman yelled at her he merely stood there looking over J'her's form. "We normally don't allow children to meet with their sins or virtues until they are older...this is why." He replied his tone firm for once. He then ..tentatively moved past the line and helped move J'her off the girl. The woman was big, perhaps her large breasts were the reason but he jumped when a tentacle wrapped itself around his ankle. It did nothing more ...but it seemed to still have some life in it. Shaking it loose he indicated the girl go towards her mother. "She may have acted nice...but she is a menace." He continued, "I am sorry this happened...I did warn you though.."
Trinket moved to her feet and glared at the tech, "That's what you say, but you are the one who hurt her!" Her left tentacle curled around her body while the other one still reached for J'her even as she moved to her mother. "She didn't hurt me."
Ryvan simply gathered the child up into her arms, they would indeed have to have a talk about Sex and kissing very soon. "C'mon baby lets get you home, we can leave the cookies for her, I'm sure she'll appreciate them."
Trinket nodded, glancing to where the tin of cookies had fallen when the lust demoness had pulled her close, before casting another glare at the tech.
The tech lingered a moment before he scurried after them. He didn't want to be around to face the demoness's wrath when she awoke. Ushering them both out he quickly locked the door again and didn't say anything to either of them as he looked at the ground and then pointed them towards the exit.
Ryvan made her way to the door, Trinket still curled in her arms tears shining in her eyes, heels clicking sharply as she went. There was most definitely going to be a talk about this later.

Wynni had finished her errands for her household and had decided to go for a walk. Just recently her family unit had moved and merged with another family unit and the two became one, kind of. There were still some issues about boundaries but other than that it was mostly a flawless move. The young pre-teen spawn had wandered her way to the park and was simply getting to know her way around from her new home. She liked doing things on her own, it made her feel independent and free. Wynni gazed up at the sky from where she stood under a tree at the beginning of the park and smiled at the bits of sky she saw between the leaves and branches. It was truly a nice day perhaps a day to find new friends. After that refreshing thought she sighed happily and moved forward once more.
Trinket closed her eyes and tilted her face towards the sky, the light filtering through the leaves of the tree she was sitting under to tickle at her skin. Her mother was at the other side of the park deep in discussion with her agent, soemthing about photographers and panty-lines, and so Trinket was left mostly to entertain herself while the women talked. She liked this park, even more since she had grown since she could actually go on the swings by herself now. But for the moment she was content to sit under the tree, the blanket she was sitting on was soft and the tree was letting just enough light in so that she was comfy. Her tentacles were content as well, one curling against her side and the other tracing the lines the sunlight was leaving on her skirt.
For the most part she was wandering aimlessly but now she paused and stopped and had tilted her head at the sight of what she could only assume was a fellow spawn, but of younger age. Then again it could be something similar from some other place unrelated. Still the tall pre-teen felt a certain amount of kinship toward the younger looking girl who sat peacefully beneath the tree. After a second or two of these thoughts she started to make her way toward the girl, "Hi! Why are you here alone?" it was a question of curiosity more than anything.
Hearing soemone speaking to her, Trinket smiled and opened her eyes turning a bright smile on the older spawn. "Hi! I'm not alone, my mother is over there talking with her agent, and it's boring so I came to sit over here. Did you want to sit down too? You're very pretty." Trinket hadn't met very many other spawn and so far all of the ones she had met had been very friendly, she had no reason to believe that she wouldn't get along wonderfully with the other girl. She scooted over a bit so that the other girl could have a spot with sun on it as well, swatting at the tentacle petting at her lap, it never seemed to stop touching her, unless it was touching soemone else.
"Aww! Thanks, you're pretty too!" She said cheerfully as she moved forward after having been invited by the small girl to sit down. Carefully the reptilian legged girl made her seating coiling her tail against her legs in a neat manner. Her hands folded upon her lap as she rested comfortably next to the small purple spawn, "I hear ya about your mom. They start talking and being busy, no fun at all," she sighed lightly and shrugged. "My name is Wynni."
"Thank you! My name is Trinket." She glanced up at the leaves above them once more, "so why are you here alone?" It wasn't like the older girl needed a reason, Trinket was just curious. One tentacle, the more touchy one, moved forward across the blanket to poke at the other girl's tail, Taylor had a tail too and the tentacle loved to pet his tail.
"Good to meet you." Wynni said with a small nod. When questioned upon her motives for being at the park the pre-teen shrugged and giggled, "Just going for a walk. I finished doing things for my family so I came here to walk for a bit and see if I can make friends with others." Though she was mostly still her feet still moved in a manner that was all in minor subtle twitches and ticks, and it couldn't be helped. The girl glanced at the tentacle that made its way to her tail and giggled, "Hi~." Wynni addressed it directly.
The tentacle bobbed at Wynni, as if to nod before returning to petting at her tail and attempting to pet at her feet. Trinket rolled her eyes at the tentacle, fingers petting at the one cuddling close to her side. "Sorry about that, I can't really control it, Mother said that she'd let me take ballet though and that, the classes should help me lean to control all of my limbs, even the tentacles." Trinket couldn't wait until she could control her tentacles, they were always doing things, touching her or other people, even when she was trying to sleep they would pet at her hair and skin until she fell asleep.
She giggled at the response and shook her head, "No, no it is quite alright. I have many friends with tentacles! They are all very nice, usually." The girl said cheerfully. Thus far she hadn't had any bad experiences with the odd appendages with personalities all of their own. "I just have a tail, wings that I can't really fly with. Hee, weird legs, too. I like 'em though." Wynni said with a firm nod as if to confirm to herself that she was pleased at how she appeared.
Trinket grinned "I wish I had wings, even if I couldn't fly, that would be awesome." It wasn't that she disliked her tentacles it was more that she disliked how they refused to listen to her. As if on cue the more adventurous tentacle reached out and poked at a wing before settling down to continue petting at Wynni's leg and tail.
Wynni grinned, "Yeah, wings are pretty nice!" she sat up a bit and stretched her own wings out even as the tentacle petted at it. "My blood-mother, she has wings kinda like mine. She is very nice." She said calmly with a small nod. "Sometimes I wish I had tentacles too, so I could name them and be like my friends that have tentacles of their own, but then ... I wouldn't really be myself." Wynni said with a thoughtful tilt of her head.
"People name their tentacles?" The idea was new to Trinket, no one had ever told her that she was supposed to name her tentacles. "Was I supposed to give them names?" She was worried now that she had done something wrong, maybe everyone was supposed to name their tentacles and she was the only one who hadn't, maybe other people with tentacles would laugh at her for not having names for them.
The pre-teen blinked at the younger girl's mild distress after she mentioned that she would name her tentacles. She shook her head and quickly went to soothing Trinket's distress, "No, not that I had noticed. I ended up naming the last tentacles I met because their...People didn't do it for them," She said thoughtfully and she shrugged. "So I guess it is not a normal thing to do, but the tentacles all seem to be like their own person so I think they deserve a name, but no one has to think like I do."
"Oh. I guess that makes sense, I don't know what I would name them though." She poked at the tentacle curled at her side as if hoping it would prompt her with a name. No such luck.
Wynni smiled and shrugged, "I can help if you want. If you don't like the names you can always say no." The spawn was always glad to help another person in need no matter the age or gender. Besides it was fun naming the tentacles!
"Okay!" Trinket was excited at the prospect of the other girl helping her name her tentacles, besides maybe they would listen to her more when she had proper names to call them! The girl's tentacles for their part perked up at the mention of getting named stroking at the other girl's wing once again.
Wynni gave each tentacle attached to the smaller girl a meaningful look before she giggled and nodded. She finally gestured to the left tentacle, "That one is Tiima," the older girl offered before she gestured to the right one, "and that one shall be Sia." To her the names sounded pleasing, and appeared to fit, even if Trinket disagreed to the sentiment forever more they'd be known to Wynni as Tiima or Sia, but she'd call them by their other names if alternate ones were given to them.
"Tiima and Sia... I think those are perfect. Thank you!" And with that she leaped forward wrapping the older girl in a hug and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Tiima and Sia wiggled pleased with their newly aquired names wrapping the girl in a hug as well.
Wynni uttered a soft but happy squeak of surprise as her arms wrapped around the smaller girl and returned the hug with a small giggle, "It was my pleasure! I like doing that sort of thing, plus you three are so cute! How could I not help you," she said cheerfully with a grin as she quietly released the girl from the sisterly embrace. It was always wonderful to make friends no matter the age.
Trinket smiled and sat back, smoothing out her skirt as she did. "It was still nice of you to help." Tiima and Sia reluctantly went back to petting at the older girl's knee as her wings were now too far away since Trinket had sat back down.
"Haha, well, you are very welcome in any case." She said happily and she seemed to let out a small sigh and seemed relaxed despite the minor twitches and ticks her toes made as she sat next to the smaller girl. Wynni didn't appear to mind the attention from the tentacles at the moment as it was something in her environs she could easily control. If it bothered her or made her uncomfortable she would quite simply move away and hope the girl didn't become offended or confused. Silence enveloped the pair for a brief time before Wynni offered, "Did you want to play a game or something real quick before your momma comes and takes you away?" the older girl offered playfully.
As if on cue Ryvan appeared behind Wynni "Actually, Trinket has to get going now, she has ballet in an hour and still has to get home and get changed first. But maybe the two of you could meet again and play another time."
Trinket pouted a bit as she heard that she had to leave now, but perked right up again at the mention of her ballet classes, her teacher had said that she had a special treat for them today! "Yeah, it would be nice to see you again if you wanted too!'
Ryvan smiled and handed the child a card with her phone number printed on it "If you want to come play with Trinket give us a call and I can come pick you up if you live too far away to walk by yourself.
She gave a small meep at the sudden voice behind her and glanced back a little and gave a giggle. Ah darn! There came the adult to drag them apart, oh well. Wynni took the card with a respectful bow of her head and held it between two of her index fingers and read it intently as she nodded to the mother-unit of her new found friend, "Yes, yes! Of course, I would love to play with Trin-Trin again!" She said happily giving the girl an odd little nickname.
Wynni lifted a hand to wave her farewells, "You have fun at ballet!" the tall girl offered happily as she moved to stand, it was about time for her to go home anyways! It was almost dinner time.
Trinket smiled "You have fun too!" She gathered up her blanket after Wynni was no longer sitting on it and passed it to her mother to fold up as it was too big for her to manage on her own. "I hope I get to see you soon!" She waved at the girl as she followed Ryvan to the car.
The pre-teen waved after them cheerfully before she turned to make her way back out of the park humming a cheerful tune to herself as she did so. Wynni had done what she had come to do and that was make a friend and while it didn't seem to take an enormous amount of time to do it was still close enough to dinner time to make her start her way toward home, maybe if she arrived early enough she could help!

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:
Letter Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following: Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue) Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs. Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc. Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up. Thank you.
You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)
