I don't remember anything about a German accent... eek Umm My guess would be that IF there was a german accent then maybe it was because the tank driver of the tank may have been german and she wa trying to fake them out? It has been soooo long since I've seen the movie. Another thing she does in her free time is rent her superior senses out for those pleasure games like you see in the manga becuase she has better senses people pay her to hook up to a machine and let them experience them (at least that is what I inturprited that to be. *shrugs* guess you would have to go to an offical fansite to find out all your answers. We here can only guess. I don't think it's supieor senses... she just has a top of the line body that makes it easier to record her emotions on...

This reminds me...If you put two pencil/pen tip about 2mm apart on the back of your neckm you onlt feel one tip...interesting...in a weird way...

She could probably feel both tips not just one.

She doesn't seem to get hurt very often but who knows what she's thinking and maybe they turn off at the sensation of pain? it would make sense.

you know i was indeed intrigued when the giant robot with the evil dude inside stepped on her face...i think she probably can turn off her sensations...who knows..she IS the major 3nodding

Why did she get a prostheic (sp) body? Yeah I know she was sick but what did she have that would push it to go that far at such a young age?
This one I can answer! ^^
* SPOILERS AHEAD!*
When the Major was 6 years old, she was involved in a plane crash, there were only 2 survivors.. Motoko herself ( well obviously ^^; ) ...and a young boy.
Motoko was in a coma for a while..and soon it turned out that the damage was really bad and her life hung in the balance.. a prosthetic body was pretty much the only option Motoko had..otherwise she would of died that day.
What in the world does she do in her free time? Other than hang around Section 9 or drink.
In the ' Ghost in the Shell' manga, there is a part where the Major goes out for a drink at a bar with Saito, Borma, Ishikawa and Paz ( LOL, drunk Motoko whee ) and I'm sure that in one of the 2nd GIG ep's, she does go on a vacation..I think ^^;
And yeah I know this one is stupid but you know in the episode in stand alone complex when her body malfuntioned because of that tank? Yeah, well why did she start yelling at him in a german accent? Was that part of the malfunction or did she do that on purpose?
Erm..I'm not too sure about that one ^^;

chibi_darkness_angel You know when you think about, Motoko is pretty mysterious. And she doesn't talk about her past much. There's tons of stuff that is left to be learned. (or at least in my case). Like:

As you can see I'm a dumbass who doesn't know much. It's a shame too since she's one of my fave anime girls. Answer: I'm not so sure as to why that happened myself but I believe when I read the manga, it did explain it. 2. What in the world does she do in her free time? Other than hang around section 9 or drink. Answer: She has two girls who are close to her that she spends free time with. They did appear in a GITS: 1st Gig Episode. And that's about all I know ^_^x

um the young boy is hideo kuze... um and I went to youtube to see some eps, and wikipedia to findout about the series, but I need to watch the real thing... sigh!
