For any other mare there was a rather good chance they would have taken a long stroll. However, Numielle was quite unlike any other mare and once she had found Penance she wouldn't let him go in much the same fashion that he wouldn't. His panic and his search may have appeared premature to those who didn't understand this unique bond but Penance could respect the stallion's views at the very least. There would have been no use in him snarling and informing said stallion that he knew nothing of the subject or the mare he doted on. Instead he released a sigh in reply to his remarks and shook his head slowly.

"She is my princess, yes..." he agreed at last and pursed his lips. "However, while it would be normal for any other mare to take a stroll it is not in Numielle's nature to simply vanish. If she had wanted to walk she would have joined me as I gathered a few plants," he explained patiently. It was easier not to explained Numielle's complex circumstances but Penance could guarantee that she wouldn't leave her spot, just so he could 'find' her again. She had always been so scared of losing him or forgetting where he was, so to lose herself... No, she was better to remain in the same place.

"She is not what you would call a normal mare, if she has disappeared then something has forced her to move and the fact that she did not call for me makes it all the more worrying," he added. Still, he hesitated after uttering these words and released a small hiss from his parted lips and gritted teeth. "That being said I have no clues to her whereabouts... I heard nothing and I had not even wandered that far so if something had happened I should have known."

"My trail is cold to put it simply but if you had seen a petite white mare with a spiked tail, a horn upon her head and many feathered wings then that would have been her."
