I met a girl at school who was from Sweden and her accent was somewhat English. I don't know if that was because of where she was from (and I just mistook it as English because I suck) or who taught her English. I'd imagine if you learned English from an Englishman you would speak more like him than an American.

Heh, I was at an internet cafe yesterday and the bloke next me asked me a question twice and I had absolutely no idea what he was saying. Somewhat pissed off, he asked my friend instead and I finally got it - "What's Sydney's postcode?" - but he spoke with a bloody thick Irish accent!
Moral of the story: Aussies, Englishmen and North Americans are the only people who speak understandable English. xd

I knew a couple fellas from the deep south who when they got talking spoke near jibberish. I couldn't understand a word they were saying.
On another note, I just got done watching Fargo and I'm thinking Minnesotans are speaking some weird English.
