Midas looked up towards the stars and said as a matter of fact, "No I don't come here often, I read that there will be a meteor shower today so I thought the park would be an ideal place to see the shower. That's why I brought Neffy." Turning his attention back to Thali, Midas continued "Neffy is an only child, I might get more, but that's only after he grows up a bit more. How about Joshua?"

Neflheim was intrigued by Joshua's wishes. He hadn't thought about it yet and was curious about what he could be when he grew up. Muttering under his breath, Neflheim said "I dunno what I can be when I grow up. People can barely touch me long enough and I kinda create frost everywhere I go. " Suddenly thinking of an idea, Neflheim exclaimed "Maybe you can tell me what I can be!"

Filling their cups with more lemonade, Midas offered the last of the sandwiches to the rest saying "That's all the sandwiches left, I have some jelly in the chiller box for dessert. You guys want some?"

Neflheim nodded excitedly at Midas and helped take out the jelly from the chiller box. As he took them out, he noticed that the jellies hadn't set well and were still a little watery. Disappointed, Neflheim sighed and announced "The jellies are watery!"

Neflheim thought for a moment and realised he could help to make the jellies solidify. Touching all the glasses for a few minutes, the jellies started to harden and were no longer watery. Happily clapping, Neflheim announced to the rest "They are ready to eat!"

Midas smiled as he received one of the cups Neflheim passed around and began to eat the jelly. Nodding his approval, Midas praised Joshua saying "That's good thinking Joshua!"

After passing all the jellies out, Neflheim replied Thali saying "I would love to! I want to make more friends, the more the merrier my Daddy says." While he wasn't a social butterfly, Neflheim was one to love making friends. He didn't like to be alone and always preferred to be in the company of another.

Neflheim beamed at the three of them, proud that he was able to put his abilities to good use instead of hurting someone. Happily digging into his cup of jelly, Neflheim slurped the solidified jelly then replied Thali saying "I'll be his friend! I don't know many people yet too..." with his voice trailing off.

Turning around to reply Joshua, Neflheim said "I like snow! I can create it if I try hard enough. Daddy said I made frost the other day and it was quite cool!" Pausing for a moment to think, Neflheim added "How about you Joshua? What can you do?"

Midas sat quietly on the tarp and looked at the sky. The shower had passed and it was getting late. He didn't want to initiate a departure especially since Neflheim seemed to clique so well with Joshua, plus he was having fun. Glancing down at his watch, Midas decided that there was sufficient time for the journey back and a bath for Neflheim if they stayed awhile more.

Neflheim smiled, showing his rows of crystal clear icy teeth. Nodding at Thali, he replied her saying "Thanks! Daddy did most of the work though, I just helped a little here and there." Turning back to Joshua, Neflheim suggested, "Maybe I'll try to make some frost for you to see now! Then next time you can make some music for me!"

Neflheim closed his eyes and concentrated hard on the cup in his hands, his brows knitted together tightly. Soon, a thin layer of frost formed on the surface of the cup. Opening his eyes to see the cup, Neflheim was happy with the success and passed the cup to Joshua. "That's what I can make! Frost!" said Neflheim.

Midas smiled back at Thali and nodded. He was happy that Neflheim had made another friend since the social little boy often craved for a friend to talk to and play with. Glancing down at his watch once more, Midas decided to announce their departure. Midas gently said to Neflheim "Neffy, we gotta go back, its late." Turning to Thali and Joshua he continued "It was nice meeting both of you, but its getting late and I need to get Neflheim to bed, we'll meet again soon though!"

Fishing a pen from his pocket, Midas neatly wrote his home and cellphone number on a picnic napkin and passed it to Thali and said "Here is my number, feel free to call me and we can arrange another meeting!"

Neflheim sulked when Midas announce their departure, looking at Joshua and Thali, he said "I guess I'll see you again soon." Directing a question at Joshua, he asked "Do you go to the Liberty Center Daycare?"

Folding the paper neatly and tucking it away into his pocket, Midas said "Thanks for the company Thali, and you too Joshua. It was nice meeting you guys. I look forward to meeting you again! I'll bring Neflheim to come play with you guys some time." He was keen on taking up Thali's offer to arrange another meeting over at her house. I''ll have to note that down so I can remember to do something about arranging a day.

Neflheim clapped his hands together and replied Joshua excitedly saying "Yes I do go there! There are many children like us, with special abilities too! Maybe you can ask your mum to enrol you there?", thinking of Maddy who had butterfly wings and antennae.
