 Grinch growled in anger at missed attack and the counter-attack that was going towards him.
Unforunately, all he could do block it as much as possible but even that didn't stop the damage from being inflicted on him.
Kayla sighed in frustration as the battle was already starting to go badly. "Again, Grinch! Ice Beam!"
Grinch powered up another beam again and sent it flying towards Anima, hoping this time it worked.

"You know what to do!" Renekai called.
Anima did a back flip off of the platform and paddled out of the way. In a moment, Anima had created another Water Pulse that rushed towards Grinch.
Renekai could only hope that the Ice Beams would continue to miss.

"What the hell!?" Kayla shouted in anger. Can't they get a break? Poor Grinch is getting pummelled out there and that little weasel is getting not a single scratch.
Kayla could see that the last attack was already taking affect on him and she could see that he was trembling and growing weaker by each attack. They have to stop this now.
Maybe once more will be the trick. Like they say...third time's the charm?

Anima took a deep breath and dove once more. While she was under, she swam until she was directly under Grinch's platform. Concentrating hard, she created a Water Pulse that shot her up like a rocket, and hopefully taking Grinch with her.
Renekai laughed as she saw the water under Grinch's platform erupt. It flew like a sort of geyser, with Anima squished between the water and platform, but not hurt.

With Grinch now being so weak, the water pulse made contact with Grinch and sent him fumbling almost into the water. He had managed to grip the ends of the platform and dragged himself up as he panted in exhaustion.
Sighing, Kayla knew that it was a lost cause now. What they can do now is do as much damage as they could to assist the next team member to take this slick Anima down. Hopefully.
"Go on, Grinch. Use Focus Punch!"
Grinch slowly got into his hind-legs and dashed straight towards Anima. This was his last stand and he want to make it count. Maybe one of his team mates will seek revenge for him.

"Okay, one more Water Pulse."
Anima winced at the punch, but she called up another little wave to finish off Grinch. She hoped that this would finish him off; those punches really hurt!

Being too weak to do anything, Grinch took the hit and fell into the pool. Within seconds, he floated back to the top of the pool, fainted.
Smiling weakly, Kayla reached for his pokeball and called him back. "Good run, Grinch. We tried."
Grinch was sucked back into his pokeball where he could rest after a difficult battle.
Kayla looked up at Anima and Rene, pausing as she pondered. Which pokemon should she use next. She could see what Rene had but she doesn't know hers.
With determined eyes, she reached behind her and grabbed the pokemon she had in mind to start on round two.
"Go Quintrell! Let's do this!"
Quin popped out of his pokeball with alot of flare and dived into the water as if it was his oxygen. He took a good swim around the water before surfacing on Kayla's side of the field.
"Por! Vaporeon!" Quin trilled happily before turning his attention towards Anima.
Would Rene stick with Anima or would she switch?Quote: 1050/1050 I cannot attack being that I just switched pokemon.

"Defense Curl!" Renekai commanded swiftly.
Anima struggled up and onto a platform, wary of her new opponent. A water type. Anima clung to the edges of the platform and shook most of the wet from her fur, then curled up tightly into a ball for protection.

Kayla grimanced again at the defense Anima was already going for. Well that will hinder what she had planned but not much.
"Lets finish what Grinch started. Ice Beam!"
Quin leaped out of the water briefly to gather energy in his mouth that formed a very light blue ball. It grew until suddenly, it was released and aimed straight for the curled up Furret.
Come on, come on! Kayla pleaded with the fates. Hoping that this will work. Mother F----!!!! gonk stressed =___=

Anima dodged the Ice Beam and leaped back onto the Trainer's podium. She licked her fur to help it dry, then begged Renekai for treats for being such a good battler.
"You're up, Bell," Renekai said, patting Anima on her damp head.
Bell fluttered down and carefully landed on the platform. She had left her bag behind so that it wouldn't get wet. Giving Quintrell a cold stare, she waited for her turn to fight.

Kayla was surprised that Rene had switched out but wasn't going to say anything. Now she had to rethink her game plan to come out on top. Quin is not at the advantage this time HP wise but then again, he wasn't back then either. It's more even now but still.
Kayla stared at Bell for a while and glanced back at Quin, who was back in the water treading water as he waited for my command of attack.
"Quin, use Iron Tail!" Kayla shouted.
Quin went under the water at the command and sped towards the platform where Bell was at. He could see clearly underwater and out of it. WHen he was close enough, Quin leaped out of the water and the already steel-like tail swung at the Delibird.Quote: 1050/1050 Just so you know (if you didn't already), the defense thing doesn't carry over to the next pokemon. ^__^;;;

Bell fell backwards into the pool from the power of the blow. She burst back up and flew into the air angrily, her eyes flashing more dangerously than ever.
"Seed Bomb!"
Bell aimed carefully, then dropped a load of seeds from her beak. It was a rather nasty business, but it had to be done.

Kayla eyes widen again. Totally forgot Delibirds can do Seed Bomb.
Grinding her teeth, Kayla watched as Quin tried to aviod the attack by going under water but it still made contact.
This won't be good for much longer either. "Ice Beam!"
Quin looked from out of the water when the seeds had stopped hitting him and glanced at Kayla in wariness but obeyed.
Before they knew it, Quin released another Ice Beam but this time at Bell. Quote: 900/1050 I hate my life and luck

Before Renekai could tell her to do so, Bell dodged the ice beam and fired more seeds. She did not like Quin. Now that he had evolved, she liked him even less. Therefore, he deserved no mercy!
Renekai watched hopelessly. Bell had a big problem with controlling her temper.

Kayla threw her hands in the air at another miss of the Ice Beam. Why can't she get a break for once! Vaporeon was belted with more Seed Bombs but this time Quin had managed to dodge every single seed that was thrown at him.
Whoo Hoo! Kayal grinned happily. Maybe their luck was changing but they weren't going to take any chances right now. Kayla thought. Now it's time to get serious.
Quintrell popped out of the water again and jumped onto the platform and gave an unhappy look at Kayla but smiled afterwards. "Yeah, sorry Q. I'll make this right. Use Iron Tail again!"
With that, Quin jumped from platform to platform while powering his tail inthe process before swinging it at the penguin.
