"Nothing isn't so bad, its better then some things I could be doing." He said, looking over at the boy who was sitting next to him, "No to hard to do it either, just... relax, deep breaths, let your mind wander..." He explained it even though Dion didn't seem to be very comfortable with the idea of doing nothing... made one wonder didn't it?
"So which is it? The angel or the demon that makes you like that?" He knew having such blood cursed all of them, some more then others. He just hoped none were as bad as him when it came to how deeply the curse ran, how badly it impacted their life.

Dion listened closely as Duncan spoke. Deep breaths? Let his mind wander? It sounded simple enough but Dion knew that it wasn't that easy. Not for him at least. He started to breathe deeply, inhaling and exhaling slowly through his nose. He didn't feel relaxed but rather he felt stupid. He knew that he must have looked weird, sitting there with a death grip on the bar below him as he breathed deeply. He must have looked like he was about to have a panic attack.
Dion tried to loosen his grip on the bar, he wiggled his fingers gently which loosened them a little. He glanced down below and froze, his eyes staring directly in front of him as he answered Duncan's question out of pure fear of falling. "Angel. I'm part Diligence and part Envy." Dion said as his legs crossed over each other below the knee. He did his best to appear cool but he was failing. The rings around his tail and upper body spun quickly for a moment as Dion began to breathe deeply again. They helped in calming his nerves but Dion wasn't sure if doing this would help him when he wasn't scared.
"Is it bad to not be able to do nothing?" Dion asked, hoping to forget the fact that he was above ground. He had always wondered if he was doing something wrong because he couldn't stay still. He knew that Zach and Emilie didn't like waking up in the middle of the night because of him. He didn't like that neither of them could keep up with him and he always heard them talking to each other about finding a way to "slow him down." Dion couldn't tell if Zach and Emilie resented taking him in or not. Zach always said that, aside from living with Emilie, taking Dion in was the best thing he had ever done. And Emilie never went a day without fusing over him about one thing or another.
Dion always felt silly when he doubted their words and actions but then again, you never know.

"Diligence, yeah. I could see how that would make sitting around problematic." He murmured, half to himself before looking over at Dion for a long moment. After watching him closely, to make sure he didn't psyche himself out so much that he ended up falling down Duncan gave a shrug, "Probably not a bad thing. I like doing nothing because for me its relaxing, when I don't relax I end up getting exciting over thing and having rises in my temper and its just... not ever a good thing."
He pushed forward so that he could jump down off of the top of the jungle gym once more, "Come on, lets get your feet on the ground." The kid was trying to be strong and Duncan figured it was time to be nice and let him get down.

Dion gave a slight nod as Duncan spoke, that made enough sense though he wasn't so sure what was so bad at rising ones temper was. Everyone got angry though Dion figured Duncan was a really mean angry person. He seemed nice enough from what Dion had experienced so far. Dion was curious on how angry Duncan could get but he wouldn't try anything. He didn't want to make Duncan angry, nor did he want him to be angry when Dion was on top of the jungle gyms.
Dion watched him as he jumped off the jungle gym. JUMPED off. What he said next would have made Dion laugh in sarcasm if he wasn't so worried. Yeah, get his feet on the ground. That was easier said then done. Dion hadn't planned out the process of getting back in touch with Earth as he made the brave journey up. He looked to Duncan and then to his lap, and then to the ground. He did that for a few minutes before looking to Duncan with a frown. "How?!?!" He ordered in a shaky tone. How exactly was he supposed to do that? Dion clung to the bar underneath him tightly as he stared at the ground.
Maybe if he slowly lowered himself down, holding onto the bar and dropping down slowly. Dion wasn't tall enough, he wouldn't reach the ground. Dion clinched his jaw tightly, angry at himself for getting himself into this mess. He must look like a big baby to Duncan, a big baby who might burst into tears any second.
Angry and embarrassed, Dion decided to go with his flawed first plan. He quickly switched his grip from the bar below him to the one in front of him and readied himself. Then he slipped off the bar and descended down, he tried to lower himself but had overestimated his upper body strength. HAs soon as his bottom left the bar he slipped down quickly due to gravity. He tried to tighten his grip on the other bar in an attempt to stop himself but he was too slow. His grasp on the bar slipped and his body tilted in the air so it seemed that he was laying down. He was surprised by his miscalculation and even more embarrassed now that he was falling.
Eyes wide and scared, Dion hit the ground with a thud. A puff of playground dust was shot into the air as Dion landed, his rings had spun wildly in the air and now that he was laying on his upper body one it stopped. Dion was silent though it was obvious that the fall had hurt. The crystals on his ring were surly digging into his back and the impact had caused his head to bounce some on the ground. He was silent and laid there still on the ground. His expression was that of someone who had felt pain but was now experiencing the aftermath. Most likely a throbbing that would turn to a dull ache. Dion frowned, staring up at the jungle gym. "I don't like the Jungle Gym." He tried to say in a flat tone but it came out shaky, as if he was about to cry. He really wanted to but he wouldn't allow himself. Not in front of Duncan and defiantly not below the jungle gym.
A short distance away, a small green caterpillar rolled off it's back and back onto its feet. Slowly and steadily it moved off on its multiple legs.

Duncan watched the boy as he fumbled with his attempt at getting down, falling instead of jumping landing on his back instead of his feet... and he starred for a long moment before he stepped closer to Dion. He knelt down next to him, giving him a once over then a bit of a smile. He was still alive so the fall must not have been that bad.
He held one clawed hand out to him, offering him help up. He wasn't going to ask him if he was alright, that would just be another blow to the kid's pride. He would just help him up and act as though nothing had happened. He doubted the boy wanted someone hovering around him, worrying... and neither of those things were something that came easily to Duncan.
"We can find something else to do, any ideas?" He asked, leaving it up to Dion what they did next since when it came down to him he didn't really care to much. So long as it wasn't something that would cause a flare in his temper he was game.

He didn't show it, but Dion was so relieved that Duncan didn't ask if he was hurt. He hated when people did that to him, he could handle his own injuries or at least the ones that didn't hurt really bad. The fall had hurt but Dion was okay for the most part. His back and the back of his head throbbed dully but aside from that he was in one piece. Dion stared at the offered hand for a moment before reaching over and grabbing it. He pulled himself to his feet in silence, he slapped his hands across his clothe and got some of the dust off of himself. What should they do? He wasn't sure. The other children around them were staring at Duncan wearily again and the longer they did so the more annoyed Dion became. He glared at one kid before looking up to Dion, subconsciously rubbing the back of his head with his hand.
"I don't know." He said with a frown. "Anything, just not the Jungle Gym." He said this in a slightly aggressive tone. He stared between Duncan's third eye to his other two. Still very much fascinated by the idea of having an extra eye that never blinked.

Duncan looked at the smaller spawn for a long while before he looked around at the kids that were starring at them. He only gave them a once over before turning back to Dion, "Sure, we can find something else to do." He said, not really caring about what they did or really caring about the brats around them were thinking. They were only starring after all and if they said anything he would just give them all a swift kick. There were some kids, mostly the really normal looking ones, that really ticked him off. They were normal so they starred at everyone else who weren't.

Dion stared around for a moment, looking over the kids to see what the playground had to offer. With the Jungle Gyms now an immediate no there wasn't much else to do. A pair of swings, an enclosed spiral slide and a few bridges and tunnels to crawl through and over. Dion wasn't exactly sure what to do, he assumed that the decision was up to him since Duncan showed no sigh of actually caring. From what Dion had learned, Duncan liked things to be quiet and away from others. He liked to do nothing but Dion would much rather do something.
Dion thought, staring around and glancing back to Duncan continuously. Soon his mind drifted away from thinking about something to do and over to Duncan's wings. They were very different from Ebony's and Adhara's, not feathery at all. "Can you fly?" Dion asked him. Dion had never seen someone fly before.
Meanwhile, Emilie stood silently under the shade of a tree near the exit. She had lost track of Dion once he had gotten off the jungle gym with his new friend. Well, actually, he fell off. Emilie stood there, worried that Dion might have gotten hurt during his fall. She walked towards the jungle gym at a hurried pace.
