Emmett held back a laugh. He was extremely good at running and it was almost his favorite thing to do, well other than burn things. He checked out his classmates and sighed, not for any reason in particular. Emmett just liked raising the tension and annoying people for some reason

"Well there is no need to worry about that" Emmett told the girl, "I'm quite capable of moving at high speeds"
Emmett didn't even know the girl, but he sorta felt an awkward connection between himself and the girl.

Emmett smiled and iginited some flames under his feet and pushed off jetting his way through the coarse and ran at speeds not capable of a lot of things on the planet, including cheetahs

Emmett wheeled himself to look behind him and laugh at the girl, but in his cockiness he tripped and fell backwards falling into a stream and stopping completely. Once he had crawled out he spewed out some of the water and sighed. He dryed himself off instantly by placing a flame around himself. He then looked as the girl passed him by

Emmett wouldn't be able to use the fire at such great intensities for awhile. The water would have cooled his internal temperature and therefore the ability to produce intense heat. Emmett than ran at his normal pace, which was still quite fast

violet kept going at the rate she was as she looked back at the boy who was still 5 people behind....

she said in normal english, beside the fact she was still a cheetah with weels for feet...
