Ezru realized that she was so far gone that he would need to convey a message some other way. An animal... Doesn't think, it reacts. Therefore it will react to warmth... With warmth. Ezru concluded as he placed one hand on Kurai's arm and allowed his reiatsu to barely trickle out, so as not to alert Hawk of what he was doing.
This was not his reiatsu when he prepared for battle, but rather the reiatsu he had when he thought of his family; Aine, the children she was bearing, Kurai, and everyone else. It was an endless warmth imbued with a message for her Please... Be strong. It will be over soon.
Ezru repeated this over and over in his mind, hoping the sentence would catch with his reiatsu and be delivered to Kurai/Datenshi. While he did this he also checked her vitals.

Hawk's hand dropped away, and Datenshi could feel again. Immediately, she tensed, straining against her shackles. Veins corded in suddenly-apparent muscle. It seemed odd that her soft skin would hide such brute power, but then, Datenshi herself seemed to defy most laws.
She didn't relax her body even a fraction as she fought her bonds. She strained and writhed, a growl ripping from her grimly clenched jaws as she willed the metal to bend and break. A few strips of cold steel separated her from freedom. Not enough to hold me.
Datenshi had been unaware of Ezru's hand on her arm until a sudden warmth flooded her. It was so at odds with the chilled metal of this icy environment that, for the briefest instant, she sagged in her bonds, blind eyes registering vague surprise.
"I will be," She responded through clenched teeth to a phrase she wasn't sure had been spoken. Strong? I'll give you strong. She renewed her struggle, twisting violently. The metal shackles were groaning and screeching under the strain. They've sadly underestimated me.
She was sure the metal was bending under her efforts, and she fought even harder, disregarding the pain as the metal dug bloody welts into her skin.

Hawk heard the commotion, and walked over to Datenshi, and stared into her blank eyes. "If you do that again, I will exterminate your presence right here. You will learn respect Datenshi, respect me! Or fear me!" he said. Hawk placed both hands on the bracser holding her wrists, leaning in close to her face, so she could see his mask under the hair covering his face. [Looks like Halibels, except has a part that reaches up to his eye too]He squeezed on the restraints, making it warp to the shape of his hand around her wrists. The steel was now compacted, and would not break as easily. He leaned back, and looked at Ezru. "Please, watch her." he told him, then returned to the control pnael. He pushed a button, and the table leaned back, slightly making Datenshi's headrest decline so that hte table was diagonal to some extent. A lght on the cieling turned on, but did not have any effect because she could not se it anyways.

"Datenshi... Or Kurai, or whoever you are." Ezru sighed "I would stop making such an effort... You're just making him angry. Please... Stop." Ezru said looking at Datenshi secured to the table

The metal bracers, now all but welded to Datenshi's skin, sliced into her wrists, but the pain brought sharp clarity that even the sedative in the air couldn't leech away.
"I'm not afraid of you," Datenshi snarled, redoubling her efforts. The table shook under the strain even as it tilted back, disturbing her equilibrium. "And I sure as hell don't respect you!"
She was thrashing in her shackles, back arcing up from the metal tabletop as she vented her fury. The bands about her wrists were painfully tight, but she threw herself against those encircling her ankles as well as the straps around her calves, forarms, and waist.
Ezru's supplication for her to stop went unheeded, though she cast an anguished glare in his direction. Datenshi had no guarantee that Hawk wouldn't make good on her promise to 'exterminate' her, but she didn't really care. She was already doing herself a good deal of harm by struggling in her restraints.

"Datenshi... I know you have access to all of Kurai's memories..." Ezru said as he started to feel despair "Due to the fact that you know who I am..." Ezru trailed on as he thought of how he was going to deal with this "So you also know who my father was, correct?" Ezru asked as he finally realized one way that might help her calm down

Hawk rolled a shiny tray over towards where they were, that had a bunch of metal utinsels and syringes lying on it. He acted as if they were nothing and proceeded to check the scan's readings on her faceplate. "I am not going to try and persuade you to learn that you are nothing compared to me. You will accept fear, and understand its nature child, know this." Hawk said, then paused momentarily, before looking up to Ezru. "Step back." He instructed. As they did, the table that Datenshi was on began to glow yellow, as if she were laying on a lighted table. That was when Datenshi started going into violent convultions. She shook and shook, looking as if she was having a seizure, thrashing about. Datenshi's face became indescribable by the bright light, and there were electric sparks covering Datenshi's body. "They do not burn, for only the silly rabbid girl will feel the pain of her own suffereing." Hawk muttered under his breath. He knew Ezru could also make out what he said, all though not much elsewas understood over Datenshi's screams. More like howls, like that of a beast in the night. A beast just wanting to get revenge.. Then, that is when the light faded, to leave an unscathed Kuraime, who was not burn, but still had steam rising from her skin. [edited]

Datenshi's throat was raw from her screams, but the table soon stopped glowing, and the pain subsided. She hated that she'd screamed at all. It felt like she was giving Hawk what he wanted. It made him think he could hurt her. She hated to seem vulnerable, and she swallowed a groan, biting the inside of her lip.
Her canine punctured the skin, and a small trickle of coppery blood filled her mouth and painted her lips a vivid red. The sharp, new pain helped her focus.
"Think you're tough because you can torture a bound captive?" She taunted, face dark with her customary fury. "I don't get you, arrancar. What do you want? To see me in pain? You can't hurt me. I might scream, but there are things you can't touch. That you can't take away. You can't break us,"
She'd said it a thousand times. Every arrancar seemed to think she could be tamed. That she had to be subdued, made docile. Let them try, she thought fiercely.

Hawk leaned over her, looming closely... He proceeded to pull out a white napkin from his pocket, and wiped the blood from under the visor she had over her face. "Do not take me the wrong way, do you see what I did there? All it took was the proper analysis.." he thought of Lemo for a second there. "And one could tell directly how to effect a being. You do not understand this yet, but fully, I could do anything to you Datenshi. Understand, anything..."
He leaned upright again, letting his words sink in. She must have by now realized that not only could Hawk effect Datenshi directly, but banish her into what in Kuriame's mind produced her in the first place. "I alone hold the key to your secrets Datenshi, you're the one who is weak. What if I taught Kuraime how to get rid of you? What if I gave her the power to beat you now? I am telling you this because you need to know this animal, you are weak. Weaker than you know."
Hawk wanted the entity to understand that she has her own role, and she plays it as she chooses. Though she is strong, she is still under the influence of Kuraime's decisions regardless. It is Kurai's body, but if only Datenshi had it permanently, there would be endless possibilities.

[Not a chance, Torsin ^^ That was a one-time thing -_-]
"You really don't get it, do you? The high and mighty scientist has me all figured out? You couldn't be more wrong," Datenshi laughed derisively. She was not afraid, no matter what this arrogant arrancar told her. "Oh, you might know how to hurt me. How to make me scream. But you have no idea what I am,"
Datenshi want to explain herself to Hawk. She didn't like the idea that he might actually come to understand her, but she also knew she'd have him entirely distracted if she kept talking.
And she could feel the shackle around her right wrist bending.
Datenshi's smile became hard, and her frosted eyes glinted. "I've been with Kurai since she was born. You and others like you seem to think that I need some sort of cage. That we need to be restrained, but it's that exact thinking that created me! Who was there in the dark to quiet her cries? Not Yoruichi. Not at first. Oh, our darling sister came for us, eventually, but I comforted Kurai in the Maggot's Nest. I was born because she needed me,"
Yoruichi 'rescued' her baby sister, eventually. She and Urahara had 'tamed' Kurai in a manner of speaking, and Datenshi had faded--if a little resentfully--assuming, perhaps, that she wasn't needed. But then Yoruichi left, and Kurai was alone again. Datenshi's thinking might differ from Kurai's, and they had two entirely different sets of morals, but Datenshi never forgot why she was created.
It was true she hated being controlled by Kurai's zanpaku-to. That was something both she and Kurai shared-- a love of freedom. So, in those brief instances when she was awake, she reveled in her liberty, and wasn't always willing to sleep again. But she always instinctively protected Kurai.
"I'm here because Kurai can't handle what people do to her. She needs me. I wake so that she can sleep. My eyes are open so she doesn't have to see this ugliness. I grit my teeth to quiet her screams. And, when it becomes too much, I scream so she doesn't have to. I will always exist, because she will always need me. Because of people like you,"
As she spoke, she twisted her hand, feeling her wrist slipping in the blood from the welt the metal was digging into her skin. But it was bending, so she could ignore the pain. This was too important.
Almost there...
Hawk was leaning close. It was too perfect. With a snarl, she snapped free of the restraint, and her hand, still slick with blood, shot up as she clamped it around Hawk's neck and squeezed. There was nothing on her mind but the intent to snap his neck

When Datenshi attacked Hawk, she did it out of instinct, andher movements were precise. But her grasp met only Hawk's left wrist, for his sonido was much too fast for her right now. "Pity, a little more strength in you, and we would have had an issue." Hawk said, looking into her eyes with his big yellow ones, blinking just once. Datenshi was now undoubtedly upset with Hawk, beacuse she was destroying his restraints with ease. He found that slightly rude in a guest, but it could not be helped. Datenshi would not be the first unwilling person defying Hawk in this place. Though, most of the subjects that were studied here were hollows; and he did not test shinigami much through his years.

Datenshi growled in disgust. If she'd been just a second faster. If the Primero Espada hadn't used his damned soul distortion, she'd probably already be free. Still, a wrist was better than empty air. She squeezed it for all she was worth, feeling the satisfying groan of the fragile bones of the arrancar's wrist.
"I think you'll still have an issue," Datenshi grinned as she applied pressure to the joint. "Still think I'm weak?"
She didn't care if he responded yes or no, really. It was just a taunt. And her left shackle was bending as the first had. They can't hold me forever. I'm too much for them. They just don't see it, yet.

"I am the only one in the room who understands what you truly are Datenshi... And your secret is safe with me. I will not tell Kurai." Ezru said calmly, looking at the bout that was beginning. Ezru stepped forward and placed a seed on Datenshi's wrist; immediatly it began to grow, but it stopped at around 5 inches. "Datenshi, I would release Hawk. Otherwise the Distortion Tree will begin to grow again." Ezru said his eyes not staring with warmth, or hatred, but simple sadness "This tree is your worst nightmare as it disrupts the Reiatsu anad Reishi proportionate to the size of the tree. With your sight this tree must be killing you slowly. If you release Hawk and lay back down on the table I will remove the plant. If you do not, I will force the roots of the tree to grow into your body, instead of simply growing around it." Ezru looked at her again and grabbed her forearm and began to hold on tightly, but not with crushing force, just a enough controlling force to stop any further movements.
"I'm sorry Hawk, but I will monitor her from now on..." Ezru said quietly.
