If you know your history, Druids where not large in the modern england area until ceasar had pushed the gaulic ones out....and also your right about seeking knowledg, but really not until recently has this become the overwhelming thing, before the druids acted as the leaders of the celtic people, and of course seeing as how modern goverment has taken control of the people of today this really isn't possible. Although there is still alot we cannot know because the ancient druids didn't write things down, and anything by the Romans, Greeks, and even possibly the Catholics would most likely be prejudiced due to the fact that they all thought themselve the more civilized and.....*is stoping for fear of rambling on about things that only pertain to himself sweatdrop *

A good source for reading up on the history of druidry is A Brief History of the Druids by Peter Beresford Ellis. I just finished this book recently it's very good and talks all about what Mozart is talking about here.
