punkanimefreec Derek looked up and saw Demitrius and Victoria still chatting away. *silly boy.* Lutharian walked over to Derek and introduced himself. They chatted for a few moments before Lu said he also had to take a leave. he quietly left the Glade and went home, where his older brother lived aslo.

Derek, wondered about the elf. he wondered if he would see him again, and in what circumstance. he put his pen set away and sprinkled sand on his papers and climbed up the stairs to his rented apartment in the tavern and fell asleep.

Sagone was working in her aunts garden the next morning when she heard a rustle. she looked around but saw no one. so she returned to her gardening. then she heard it a second time. with hand on the hilt of her crossbow mini gun(picture enclosed), which was concealed under her cloak, she looked around again but still saw nothing. so she once again returned to pruning her rose bush. once she heard the rustle a third time, she waited a moment, then sprang up and turned around with bow in hand, cocked, and ready to shoot at the man in front of her. * photo of crossbow mini gun(only imagine very medieval looking) - click here

Derek woke before the sun came up. he walked down the stairs and into the tavern, the bartender called him over to the bar and handed him a slip of paper. he gave him a shady look, "I hope you're not getting too involved with the wrong people." Derek nodded and turned to walk away, but the bartender's hand grabbed him and pulled him a little closer. "Derek, I'm serious, if this gets out of hand, if you bring any problems on us, I'll...."
Derek grasped the burly man's arm. "I promise, I won't let anything bad happen to this place. I love this place too. I'll do everything in my power to keep this place safe." he promised. the bartender nodded and let him go. Derek paid him for the room and walked outside. he opened the slip of paper and read its contents. he crumpled the paper and tossed it into his bag, and walked away.

[sorry, it was the only pic of a dude that looked kinda how i wanted. no he is not a bad guy. although i will eventually make a bad char....]
Sagone gasped and lowered her bow. she put it back on her belt and ran to greet Lu. "so how was your trip? was it tiring? did you lose anything? did you meet any robbers? how was your father? did you see any old friends? did he have a good funeral? where did you get that beautiful necklace? my goodness you have grown up in 2 years! when did you get your other ear pierced? are you in a ..." Sagone was asking in a rush but Lu interrupted her. He put his hand over her mouth and gently traced her face and hair and made her sit down in the grass with him. "slow down cricket!" he always called her Cricket. "you needn't rush me! and geesh, you have changed even more. last time i seen you were a mere girl, but now....you are the most beautiful woman i ever beheld," Lu said as he blushed slightly. Sagone giggled and blushed even more. she started to ask him a question which was nagging her, but then a man walked up the yard....

Derek disappeared into a bit of woods and got ready. he tightened his numerous belts and pulled his hood on and pulled up his mask so that only his eyes showed. he took out a small vial and dropped one drop of liquid in each eye. he put his cloak on and pulled the hood over his head. he glanced at the sky. it was getting lighter, he must hurry. he ran out into the deserted streets, keeping to the shadows and then leaped onto the roof of one house. he crawled through the window and stood darkly over a man in his bed. "Your mistress dismisses you. sleep well. or not, either way you won't wake up again." He muttered and then brought his blade down, cutting off the man's head. he didn't even feel anything. Derek wiped his katana off on a cloth and sheathed it. he then disappeared from the room.
