asjkfdhlkasewaljwe Setsushi looks down bashfully. It seems that his steely resolve has been effectively diffused.
"Madame Lucretia," he greets her in a polite tone. And "Jilan," whose voice he sense and whose feet he can see. Kouyo is here? Is it all right if Setsushi enters to see him, even if Kumoru is not home?
He doesn't seem too concerned about awakening Kouyo...

Someone attempting to get into the house in Kumoru's absence? This is Lucretia's chance to prove herself! ... Even if Setsushi is a friend.
Well, this will be good practice, then, because if he is a friend, he will not want to put up a fight.
The girl grins a little and flares out her little blue wings, telling the Porcelain, "No one allowed inside while Kumoru is out."
Jilan squeezes out under Lucretia's arm, shivering a little as he briefly gets too close to her glowing rune. Then, wringing his hands a little, he tells Setsushi that Kouyo seems okay, just a bit nervous because there are so many strangers. Jilan has been keeping an eye on him, though.

Setsushi tenses, his expression turning to one of profound worry.
"Then Kouyo must come out; I must speak with him," Setsushi insists, and it must be in person.
He looks at Jilan. Will he help Setsushi and fetch Kouyo for him?

Jilan nods and hurries back into the house.
In the young Porcelain's absence, Lucretia fixes Setsushi with an intense gaze and grins enthusiastically, as though daring him to try something. She's ready!
After a few minutes, Kouyo comes to the door, dressed in his sleeping robes and wrapped in a blanket. He does look as though he just woke up, but is otherwise unharmed. His heart quickens as he sees Setsushi, though, and he tries not to look at him, giving off an anxious feeling as though anticipating his friend's anger. He tries to half-hide behind the door frame until Jilan urges him outside to speak to his friend.
Lucretia moves briefly to let the priest past, then resumes blocking the doorway.
He is very sorry that he left as he did. He should have told Setsushi something. Kouyo's intent was not to hurt his friend....

Setsushi gives off an intense feeling of relief, yet also of continued concern and worry, and reaches out to hold onto Kouyo's sleeves.
Kouyo is really all right? And here of his own accord? And wholly unharmed? Setsushi would never have thought that after the events of the night before last, Kouyo would have come here, and... Setsushi was afraid there had been some foul play...
His expression trembles a little, and he sends a wave of protective and affectionate and concern towards Kouyo.

Kouyo steps closer when he sees Setsushi is not angry, and reaches out to embrace him as well as he can without allowing the blanket to slip from his shoulders. He is relieved as well and clearly draws great comfort from Setsushi's presence.
He promises he is fine, and that he did come here by his own will. It was a stupid idea, going through such pains to leave without Setsushi knowing, and Kouyo has since realized that there was really no good reason to do so. Kouyo is very sorry he made Setsushi worry.
However... he felt that he should come here to keep an eye on the children. If the High Priest of Gaian Porcelain could not step up to safeguard the souls of the two boys if they were, in fact, in danger, then perhaps Kouyo was better locked away in a tower. Kouyo realizes there is no longer any reason why he should remain idle now that he is here. Who is there to stop him and tell him to stay hidden away?

Setsushi embraces Kouyo gently before releasing him. Setsushi needed to see that Kouyo was well; his agitation is quickly diffusing.
Then, privately, Setsushi reminds him: Kouyo does not need to hide anything from Setsushi. If he wishes to leave Setsushi's side, there is no need to use secrecy; if that is what he needs to become well again and to become the High Priest he wishes to be, of course Setsushi will allow it. But Setsushi just needs to be sure that Kouyo is completely safe.
And Kouyo is safe? He has not been hurt at all? And he is well enough to live among these strangers?

The smaller man nods to say yes, he does feel that he is well enough, but also does his best to hide his doubts. Perhaps if he is not well enough now, he will be soon. He still does not trust Kumoru completely, but the mage has so far done nothing to harm him, though.
Kouyo half turns away from Setsushi and holds up one hand, as though encouraging a bird to perch upon it. Then he glances back to his taller friend, a very tiny smile on his lips. Next time when he flutters back to Setsushi's hand, it will be by his own power he hopes.

Good... good... good.
Setsushi sighs profoundly, suddenly feeling very hungry and tired. He cracks a smile and morbidly jokes to Kouyo that if he had needed to storm Kumoru's house to rescue him, he certainly wouldn't have gotten very far...
Setsushi will care for Kouyo's plants and eagerly await his return. He would very much like it if Kouyo visited frequently, so Setsushi can see his friend's face and make sure that he is healthy, but if Kouyo believes he must study these people intensely, or if he needs to stay away from Setsushi, then... he will accept that. Whatever Setsushi can do to help Kouyo, he will do, even if that is to leave him be for a time.
He sighs again, then turns to the doorway and bows low to the two remaining there, apologizing for any rudeness he may have shown, and then requesting in a deferent and pleading tone: "You will help Kouyo as well?"

Kouyo leaned gently against his friend, wanting to be held for one more moment. He said in his note that he would visit as often as he could, right? As soon as he has learned to fly, then the High Priest should be able to travel freely between here and Setsushi's home. No one can keep him in a birdcage.
Lucretia appears to snap out of a daydream when Setsushi address her and Jilan, and blinks a few times at him before nodding. "Sure. I'm the gatekeeper. No one can get in to hurt him unless they get past me first."
Kouyo sees why Lucretia unsettles Setsushi. The toddler Bhel is also kind of a nudist, seeming to prefer running around in nothing but a skirt most of the time. Gaians are crazy. He squirms a little, privately hoping he will not require her help.
Of course Jilan will help, too. If nothing else, he can keep his silly brother from bothering High Priest Kouyo. sweatdrop

And Setsushi cannot be allowed to entrap Kouyo, either. Setsushi begs of Kouyo never to be afraid to demand freedom from him again, and hugs him once more gently.
He smiles nervously in Lucretia's direction, not raising his eyes and privately wishing Kouyo the best of luck regarding his new 'family.' gonk
Setsushi would offer to come in and cook for the residents, especially Kouyo, but he understands that it is not allowed. But when Kumoru is home, may Setsushi visit them?

When Setsushi releases him, Kouyo backs away reluctantly, back towards the doorway. When he returns to his friend's side, they will have much to talk about, including hopefully some insight into finding a way home.
And maybe sometime eventually Kouyo can cook something for Setsushi, too.
"You'll have to talk to Daddy when he's here if you want to come in," Lucretia adds. "If you are a friend, though, he shouldn't say no. We don't get guests very often."
Jilan would always be up for Setsushi's cooking, he tells the Knight cheerfully. He can also cook a little bit, so maybe they can have a big party sometime or something.
Kouyo retreats back through the doorway. A party sounds nice except for the big part.

Setsushi nods to Kouyo. Though a little anxiety returns to his face as they part again, he emits more of a feeling of resignation.
He hopes he will see Kouyo again soon -- and get to chat with all the others, as well. But until then...
Setsushi supposes he must go. He bows to them again, glances back to Kouyo, and then turns to start slowly plodding back home.
